(AllHipHop News) “We at King of Diamonds throwing money by the case,” raps Meek Mill on his “Miss Me Freestyle.” Well on April 1st the Maybach Music Group emcee returned to the world-famous gentleman’s club in Miami for a grand reopening celebration.
Meek performed a set of seven songs in front of 2,500 guests that included Miami-based celebrities FloRida, Uncle Luke, and DJ Sam Sneak. The event, hosted by dancers Mink & Tokyo, was the highly anticipated relaunch for the recently renovated South Florida hot spot.

The remodeled KOD features a new floor-to-ceiling state of the art LED lighting system, a new blue and white color scheme, and of course new dancers.
“Disco” Rick Taylor (aka Mr. KOD) partnered with businessman Akinyele with the goal of making King of Diamonds the largest and most successful strip club in the world.
“We’re bringing all of the celebrities back to the club to make it the best it’s ever been,” says Akinyele in a statement. “We want the dancers and the people to have fun – to have the best time on earth because this is King of Diamonds.”
Akinyele and Taylor, along with the management team of Terry Elliott and Liz Cedeno, have a full week of festivities planned for the KOD relaunch.
Yesterday 106 and Park‘s Bow Wow hosted a college crowd at “Tuition Tuesdays.” Wednesday will feature appearances by former University of Miami All-American football player Bryant McKinnie and reality television star Joseline Hernandez from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. Buzzing Atlanta rapper Young Scooter will perform at the club on Thursday night, and Jim Jones is scheduled to give a performance there this Friday.
“This week will feel like KOD Memorial Day Weekend here in Miami before the actual holiday. That’s how big this launch will be,” says Disco Rick.
