(AllHipHop News) Russell Simmons and his Hip-Hop Summit Action Network will present the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball II, to celebrate the Hip-Hop community’s role in helping President Barack Obama become reelected as President of United States.
The charity gala will take place on January 20, at the Harman Center for the Arts, in Washington DC.
The Hip Hop Inaugural Ball II will take place during inaugural weekend, thanks to the event chairs Russell Simmons and Zac McDaniels.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Philanthropik, a non-profit committed to supporting programs and initiatives that encourage others to be philanthropic.
In 2009, the first Hip Hop Inaugural Ball drew a number of rappers and celebrities, including T.I., Tiny, Busta Rhymes, Young Jeezy, Ashanti, Trey Songz, Judge Greg Mathis and others.
Ticket sales for The Hip Hop Inaugural Ball II, which takes place on January 20, 2013 at 8:00pm, range from $500-$2500.
