(AllHipHop News) The family of Eric Garner continues to protest his death as well as others at the hands of police officers, in a new song titled “I Can’t Breathe.”
Eric Garner was killed by officer Daniel Pantaleo, who suffocated him with an illegal chokehold on July 17th, 2014.
In December of 2014, a grand jury refused to indict Pantaleo.
Eric Garner’s sister Elisha and his brother Steven Flagg recorded the songs on the heels of the deaths of two more black men at the hands of white police officers.
Alton Sterling was shot by an officer during a struggle in Baton Rouge and less than 24 hours later, police killed Philando Castile as he sat in the passenger side of a car with his girlfriend and his four-year-old daughter in tow.
The shootings motivated Garner’s family to release the new song and it isn’t the first time.
In January 2015, his daughter Erica released a song called “This Ends Today.”

Eric Garner’s brother Steven Flagg also served as the producer of “This Ends Today,” which delivered a strong message to the grand jury which exonerated Pantaleo.
“The grand jury lost their minds/it’s time for an appeal/If Eric was family they would know how it feels,” rapped Flagg.
