Birdman, Slim and Fred Durst Discuss Limp Bizkit Deal

(AllHipHop News) Cash Money Records founders Bryan and Ronald Williams recently discussed the growing roster of artists signed to Cash Money Records.

Last week, the label announced they had signed Grammy nominated rock band Limp Bizkit to Cash Money/YMCMB Records.

Limp Bizkit has already sold over 33 million albums worldwide and toured the globe.

“The Cash Money Records and YMCMB family continues to grow and work in various music genres as shown by the addition of Limp Bizkit,” Bryan “Birdman” Williams told in a statement. “We have always admired how they have been able to blend rock and Hip-Hop and will bring a unique sound to the label.”

Limp Bizkit is wasting no time getting to work, now that they have signed to the famed label, which was founded in 1991 in New Orleans.

“As both an artist and someone who has signed artists, I can say without a doubt that Cash Money is at the top of their game,” Fred Durst said. “What attracted me to the label is not only their great taste and hustle, but their belief in their artists and the family atmosphere. Slim and Birdman allow their artists to be themselves and encourage creative output and continued development. I look forward to bringing my vision as a director as well as my voice to the label and to Limp Bizkit putting out some of our best music to date.”

According to Ronald “Slim” Williams, the group is currently in Miami recording at the Hit Factory their inaugural Cash Money Records release.

“We are excited to see the work and collaborations that come from the entire Cash Money family with the addition of Limp Bizkit,” says Slim.

Cash Money Records has evolved into a powerhouse label, with major acts on the roster.

Artists include Lil Wayne, Birdman, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Drake, Tyga, Busta Rhymes, Limp Bizkit, Cool & Dre, Jay Sean, Kevin Rudloff, Mack Maine, Mystikal and others.
