(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Diamond confirmed she is working on a new mixtape entitled “B#### Muzik 3,” set to be released during the 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend this February in Dallas, Texas.
Additionally, her still untitled album due for release in the second quarter of 2010 is also coming together, with notable appearances from Lloyd, Keri Hilson, Lil’ Scrappy, Cee-Lo and others.
The mixtape will be the third installment of Diamond’s solo mixtapes, while the album is her first solo endeavor to date.
Diamond is hoping the recent leak of several tracks will help build excitement for her debut solo effort.
“The songs that leaked were the Keri Hilson record ‘Like a Stripper’ and the Lloyd record ‘Feels Good’,” Diamond told AllHipHop.com. “We are actually looking to try to do something with it since it got such a good response and hot feedback.”
One of the album’s songs, entitled “SuperBad” ft Cee Lo, has also received a great deal of attention nationwide.
The video which was shot by acclaimed director Dr. Teeth, was featured on MTV Jams as the “Jam of the Week” during the last week of 2009.
Diamond is hoping to recreate the success she enjoyed as a member of Crime Mob, the group behind hit singles like “Knuck If You Buck,” “Stilettos and Pumps” and “Rock Yo Hips.”
“Yea, independent, doing really good, I definitely want to say that this time around I learned much more than I have in the past about business and getting your business straight and handling things like you are supposed to,” Diamond told AllHipHop.com. “As far as management, Mic Moodswing manages me, and I really like the relationship because he teaches me things and I’m never in the dark about anything. He has great relationships with people and I feel like that’s important because sometime in the industry its not about money, its about having a good relationship and getting things done.”
Diamond and her friends, the B.B.C. (Bad B***h Clique) consisting of Tiny, Toya, Rasheeda and Candy also plan to host a 2nd Annual Tweet and Meet during NBA All-Star Weekend.
According to Diamond, the event will allow all of their Twitter followers and fans can meet them in an up close and personal setting.
