Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine have been one of hip-hop’s dynamic duos and last night (Nov.5) they were awarded for their teamwork.
At New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, WSJ. Magazine hosted their fourth annual Innovator Awards where they celebrated the most influential people in art, fashion, technology and entrepreneurship. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine were presented with an entrepreneurship award for their success of their Beats Electronics company and the launch of the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation at University of Southern California. They were presented with the award by Dre’s protege Eminem.
Other honorees included dancer Lil’ Buck, chef Rene Redzepi, fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquiere, artist Kara Walker and architect Sou Fujimoto.
