His More Life playlist earned 225,000 equivalent album units in its second week of release, topping Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) with 98,000 units.
With those two weeks at #1, Drake now has 20 cumulative weeks in the top spot on the chart.
That total puts the OVO Sound leader behind only Eminem (31 weeks), Jay Z (23 weeks) and MC Hammer (21 weeks) for the most weeks at #1 for a rap act.
Eminem has seven chart-topping albums, Jay has 13, and Hammer has just 1.
Drake’s career consists of seven #1 projects, tying him with Em and Kanye West for second most among rappers.
R&B singer Trey Songz debuts this week at #3 as his Tremaine album collected 67,000 units.
Rick Ross’ Rather You Than Me slips five spots to #8 with 40,000 units in week two.
Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic (#6, 49,000 units), Future’s FUTURE (#9, 39,000 units) and The Weeknd’s Starboy (#10, 36,000 units) remain in the Top 10.
