Dave East’s plans for Valentine’s Day allegedly went up in flames thanks to Dipset member Jim Jones. According to Page Six, East and his date left the Soho House in New York after Jones swooped in and secured a VIP table that East expected to get on Wednesday (February 14).
“Why is he sitting there?” East reportedly asked. “We were here before anybody else.”
Jones, Chrissy Lampkin and their entourage were sitting at the VIP table to see singer Jon B perform at the Soho House on Valentine’s Day. An associate of East allegedly tried to resolve the issue. East reportedly was fed up with the situation and decided to leave.
“It’s way too packed in here, and I am not standing up in this crowd,” East allegedly said. “What am I suppose to do — just stand here? Nah, we out.”
Page Six claimed East’s date wanted to find a way for them to stay and see Jon B’s performance, but the rapper grabbed her hand and escorted her out of Soho House. Jones and East’s reps did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
East did not let his Valentine’s Day misfortune ruin his week as he dropped a new album titled For the Love on Friday (February 16). East teamed up with DJ/producer Scram Jones for the project, which was released exclusively on FTDNYC.com.
The love-themed album included 12 tracks with just one guest appearance. East’s latest project is available for $5.99. He is also selling shirts and bandanas featuring the album’s cover artwork on the same website.
