(AllHipHop News) The posthumous J Dilla album The Diary was recently released after over a decade of sitting in the vaults. Pay Jay and Mass Appeal Records have produced a short documentary about how the LP came together.

The nearly 7-minute doc includes footage of Dilla explaining his vision for The Diary. In addition, some of the artists and producers involved in the making of the musical project offer commentary on the process of creating the collection.
Snoop Dogg, Bilal, Nas, and more are featured on the album. Production was provided by Dilla, Hi-Tek, Nottz, Bink!, House Shoes, Madlib, Karriem Riggins, Waajeed, Pete Rock, and Supa Dave West.
J Dilla’s The Diary hit stores on April 15. The LP peaked in the Top 5 of the Billboard Rap Album chart and has received critical acclaim.
