Tory Lanez Earns Highest Charting Debut Of His Career With ‘Chixtape 5’

The “Jerry Sprunger” singer has the best-selling R&B project of the week.

(AllHipHop News) Tory Lanez scored his fourth consecutive Top 5 entry on the Billboard 200. Chixtape 5 collected 83,000 first-week units to open at #2 on the chart, the highest debut for the Interscope recording artist.

Lanez’s previous three efforts put the Canadian among the five best selling acts for those specific weeks of release: I Told You at #4 in 2016, Memories Don’t Die at #3 in 2018, and Love Me Now? at #4 in 2018.

Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding (#3)YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s AI YoungBoy 2 (#6), Summer Walker’s Over It (#7), DaBaby’s Kirk (#8), and Kanye West’s Jesus Is King (#10) are also in the Top 10 this week.

Celine Dion captured the #1 spot with the Courage album. The music icon earned 113,000 equivalent album units. This is Dion’s first chart-topper in 17 years.
