(AllHipHop News) Fans of Waka Flocka Flame were disappointed when the Atlanta rapper refused to perform at a charity concert in Melbourne, Florida, due to a dispute with the promoters of the event. The rapper was slated to hit the stage at Levelz nightclub during a charity event dubbed “Hip Hop For Hunger” in Brevard County, Florida on November 18th. According to promoters, Waka reportedly refused to perform to the 250 patrons, when the promoters failed to hand over $10,000 in cash. The event’s promoter, Christopher Duncan, told Melbourne, Florida’s Channel 13 news that there was nothing in his contract that required him to pay Waka Flocka the extra money in cash. He claimed that Waka Flocka and his entourage didn’t make scheduled appearances during the day either. According to Duncan, plans are being made to file a lawsuit against Waka Flocka to get their deposit back, while the owner of Levelz said he is working with the promoters to help fans get discounts for future events. Waka Flocka’s booking agents and managers have been the subjects of lawsuits by promoters all across the country, who claim they have lost hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in lost revenue, over performance disputes.
