Young Thug, who was arrested for racketeering and criminal street gang activity, now faces multiple drug and gun charges.

Young Thug faces additional charges following his arrest for racketeering.

According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, Young Thug was hit with multiple drug and gun charges. Authorities found drugs and firearms while raiding his home.

The new charges include possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule III, IV or V controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a sawed-off shotgun and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was arrested as part of a sweeping RICO indictment on Monday (May 9). He was initially charged with conspiring to violate Georgia’s racketeering law and participating in criminal street gang activity.

The YSL Records founder was one of 28 alleged gang members named in a 56-count indictment. Prosecutors accuse Young Thug and YSL members of engaging in criminal gang activity.

Earlier this week, Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel denied the allegations against his client. He proclaimed Young Thug will be cleared of the charges.

“Mr. Williams has committed no violation of law, whatsoever,” Steel said in a statement. “We will fight this case ethically, legally and zealously.”

Multi-platinum selling rapper Gunna was the other notable name indicted in the RICO case. The YSL artist surrendered to authorities on Wednesday (May 11). He was charged with a single count of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act.
