A Florida woman saw a viral post about a $29.99 family meal at Sprouts. Then she decided to visit, only to realize that the location she visited didn’t have the hack.
“Y’all done hyped me up this … family meal like it was the Holy Grail … They said they don’t even have it,” said Alexis (@dadivaboss_), a TikToker who regularly splits her time between Florida and Georgia.
The content creator was expecting to spend around $30 to feed her family, but she ended up purchasing other products. That left some viewers wondering where the sprouts deal was readily available and how customers could find it.
As of this writing, the video has more than 2,200 views.
What Is the $29.99 Sprouts Family Meal?
When Alexis walked into Sprouts, she was expecting to find the option to purchase a $29.99 family meal.
The family meals offer customers the opportunity to build a meal with “two sides and two entrees” from the store’s premade counter. It’s similar to Whole Foods‘ $35 family meal deal, which offers its customers a large plate that can feed up to four people.
The family meal recently blew up on TikTok, with content creators such as BIG KEISH (@santanakeish) and HellthyJunkFood (@hellthyjunkfood) examining the meal’s offerings.
Customers can choose from a number of entrees, such as steak, chicken, salmon, and shrimp. They can also get sides such as creamy cauliflower rice and Mediterranean pasta salad, or any of the offerings available at Sprouts’ food counter.
Alexis’ Experience at a Florida Sprouts
When Alexis walked into Sprouts, she saw no family meal in sight.
“I get there, excited, ready, cart ready, budget ready … What do you mean y’all don’t have it?” Alexis said.
The content creator said an employee pointed her over to the premade section, which didn’t have the build-your-own option available. Instead, she had to pick from a variety of pre-packaged meals there.
She selected 10 items, but it ended up costing more than the TikToker had expected.
“TikTok got me walking in here like I’m about to feed a whole family for $30, and in actuality, 10 items cost me over $100,” she said.
Are the Sprouts Family Meals Only in California?
One viewer claimed that the Sprouts family meal is only available in California. A number of commenters, however, said that they found the build-your-own family meal in other areas of the country.
“I’m in Louisiana I definitely have it,” one viewer said.
“They have the deal in okc,” another person added.
TikToker Porsha Deshannon confirmed that the Sprouts family meal is available throughout the country.
“It’s not true that they’re only doing it in California, guys. I’m in Georgia, and several of the Sprouts here are doing it,” Deshannon said in her video reviewing the food deal. “They’re only doing it at the Sprouts that already have prepared food counters.”
Other commenters on Alexis’ video said they would have left the store in search of a Sprouts that does have the deal. Reviews of the Sprouts family meal deal are generally positive.
In Deshannon’s video, she said, “The food at Sprouts tastes 10 times better than the food at Whole Foods, okay? The food at Sprouts is very seasoned. It’s flavorful. You wanna eat it.”
“It’s certain sprouts that do it, I’m so sorry … if you got another sprouts that do it around you please check it out I’ve been wanting to see other people get it,” one commenter said.
