Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Renewed Fame And Drugs Kill Kriss Kross’ Chris Kelly??

Ahhhhhh….lets just get to this rumor. God Bless The Dead, but the rumors are going haywire. Some people couldn’t wait a day without letting loose everything that was going around about Chris Kelly’s death. The sad reality is that there were already rumors that he was doing some drugs. I alluded to that the other day as the news of his death broke. But, what is crystalizing is that that damned So So Def Reunion in February took poor Chris back to his old ways in bigger ways. Seems like he made a bit of money off of that show. He also got quite a lot of notoriety off it too. Rumors say this lead to him speed balling, where you mix heroin and coke to get super high. Coke is an upper and Heroin is a downer. The combo…you feel good in that high. This ain’t your popped a Molly…I’m sweatin drug. Anyway, God bless. I guess he lived how he wanted and he made history.

Signs The World Is Coming To An End: A CURE FOR AIDS, But It’ll Cost Ya!

I had a cousin die of AIDS many years ago. He is one of 25 million people that have been murdered by this disease. Well, guess what? There is good news for us all, especially people living with HIV. Researchers are close to a cure for this virus. As we said before, a baby was effectively cured of AIDS this year after getting it from her mother.

The Daily Telegraph is saying that Denmark researchers are close to the cure. The funny part? The funny part is that the money made off delivering this cure will make people rich beyond our wildest dreams for sure! Not that thats a bad thing, but there always seems to be s sinister motive when it comes to these things. My opinion doesn’t matter. The report is below:

According to the Daily Telegraph, researchers at Denmark’s Aarhus University Hospital believe they are “within months” of a breakthrough that could lead to an affordable cure for the millions of people living with the disease.
The scientists’ technique involves flushing the HIV from “reservoirs” in human DNA to the surface of cells. With the help of a separate vaccine, the human body would then be able to kill the virus with its own immune system.
“I am almost certain that we will be successful in releasing the reservoirs of HIV,” said Aarhus University research team member Dr Ole Søgaard, who remained optimistic but cautious about the potential results.
“The challenge will be getting the patients’ immune system to recognize the virus and destroy it. This depends on the strength and sensitivity of individual immune systems,” he added.
So far, the technique has only been successful on human cells in a laboratory, but 15 patients with HIV are currently participating in trials funded by $2 million from the Danish Research Council.
The welcome news is part of a recent string of successes in HIV/AIDS research. In January, Australian scientists said they had discovered a strategy that could make the virus “self-destruct.” In March, U.S. researchers at Johns Hopkins “functionally cured” a baby with HIV by pumping the infant with antivirals immediately after birth.

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop producer Abraham Orellana (aka AraabMUZIK) was shot Wednesday evening apparently during an attempted robbery. The associate of Cam’Ron’s Dipset crew is currently recovering in the hospital according to the musician’s manager DukeDaGod.

A photo of AraabMUZIK in a hospital bed surrounded by friends was posted on DukeDaGod’s Instagram with the caption, “Everyone wish my brother @araabmuzik a healthy & pleasant recovery!!!! #Mvpofthempc #Soblessed.”

Araab’s publicist issued a statement to Billboard stating that he was a “victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time” and is “currently alive and well.” Police are investigating the incident.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Ross And Reebok Reunite! Will Ross Get His Deal Back?

They gonna be mad for real if this one comes true!

There is sufficient internet chatter about this for me to write about it. Word on the street is that its not out of the question that Rick Ross will get his deal back. The talk started with Swizz Beatz through a post from Miss Info.

Wow, after that comment that the Reebok CEO made earlier, this reunion photo from Swizz was quite unexpected. But it’s funny because earlier today, another big-name artist told me that they had heard rumors about Reebok re-signing Ross. I scoffed at the idea but low and behold… it’s seeming much more possible, right? Now at the same time, Lil Wayne’s apology letter may have come out with some strong encouragement from Pepsi/Mountain Dew on the eve of Wayne’s next round of DeWeezy campaigns. Get the pattern here?

After the way Meek went at Reebok, I don’t know!

Here is the “reunion” of Swizz and Ross….

Fear of God Clothing Line Debuts Summer 2013 Collection in L.A.

“FEAR OF GOD” IS A WAY OF LIFE, A PHILOSOPHY, THAT GOES BEYOND RELIGIOUS EXPRESSION. THE COLLECTION, BORN IN THE STREETS OF LOS ANGELES CONNECTS THE MASSES THROUGH A STREET-WEAR MENTALITY. ALL OF THE FABRICS, MATERIALS AND GARMENTS ARE SOURCED AND CONSTRUCTED IN DOWNTOWN LA.”

When Kanye West first wore a kilt during his performances for the Watch the Throne tour, the Hip-Hop world was up in arms about Kanye’s new style. From the fans to fellow rappers, Kanye had everyone talking about his unique sense of style that many fans didn’t quite understand.  Last night (May 1) AllHipHop met the clothing company behind the hype, as Fear of God was on display at Four Two Four on the infamous Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, California.  For those unfamiliar with Fairfax Avenue’s fashion district, the famous street is home to a handful of stand out brands including Diamond Supply Co., Pink Dolphin, The Hundreds, Hall of Fame and many others.

If the goal was to shut down Fairfax Avenue, mission accomplished. As Hennessy V.S. filled attendees cups and the sounds of DJ Izzo (Freddie Gibbs’ DJ) could be heard from the street, Fear of God Los Angeles designer, Jerry Lorenzo, hosted a showing of his Fear of God 2013 Summer collection.  Known for being a head promoter at Greystone Manor’s infamous Sunday night, Jerry premiered his Summer 2013 Collection in the heart of Fairfax Avenue to a packed house.

To date Fear of God threads have been spotted on Kanye West, Chris Brown, Big Sean, Hit-Boy, and Matt Kemp (L.A. Dodgers.) Street wear heavy-weights are giving the new line recognition as well, as fellow Fairfax retail resident Nicky Diamond of Diamond Supply Co. stopped by the in-store event to show support. Karrueche Tran, Greystone Sundays resident DJ Orator, and Hit-Boy’s HS87 crew members K. Roosevelt and Oktane of Audio Push were also in the building.

The LA based clothing company, inspired by the late 80′s and early 90′s fashion scene, has exploded into fashion world with high-end clothing items designed to be worn daily.  The line ranges from flannel tops and pull-over hoodies to sweatshirts and drop crotch sweatpants, that many Hip-Hop fans will liken to the kilts and long tank tops Kanye and ASAP Rocky have been pictured wearing recently.

R&B Divas Debuts in ATL

The songbirds returned to the small screen last night with a big splash.

Nicci Gilbert, Monifah, Syleena Johnson and KeKe Wyatt are back. Joining them for a second season are Angie Stone and LaTocha Scott, (of Xscape).

The show is rumored to be as strong as the first season, with a few new twists. Faith Evans revealed one of the things that makes R&B Divas successful: “There are other reality shows that had one or two cast members that were previously popular in another lane. But, in our show none of us did this to try and become popular. We already came with our own fan bases.”  The fact that the ladies have their own fan bases, careers, and egos may prove to be an issue this season as they bump heads in the planning of their first tour.

In fact, during the premiere of the show, two separate premiere parties were hosted in Atlanta with Nicci Gilbert and KeKe Wyatt at Museum Bar and Angie Stone, Syleena Johnson, and LaTocha Scott at Harlem Nights.

Watch the video recap of both events here:

At both parties, radio personalities, television producers, music artists and more came through to show the ladies their support. Even cast members from other Atlanta-based reality shows, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” showed love at both events.

Check out the video and catch the show on TVOne on Wednesdays at 10pm.

Gucci Mane Released From Jail

(AllHipHop News) Gucci Mane has been released from jail after serving three weeks for a parole violation.

The rapper was in jail for parole violation stemming from an alleged assault of a man with a bottle. In that case, a man allegedly asked Gucci for an autograph is the VIP section of an Atlanta night club. He was then hit over the head, an attack that caused a huge cut on his skull.

Gucci has been charged with aggravated assault.

There was another accusation in Phily, but the rapper has not been charged in that case.
