Bay area rap legend Spice 1 remains in critical condition, after being shot after he fell asleep in his car on Monday morning (December 3).
Spice 1, born Robert Green, fell asleep for about 30 minutes in the driveway of his parents home, when he noticed someone was standing next to him.
According to police, the gunman fired one shot through the window, striking Spice 1 in the chest.
The rapper staggered into his parents house and family members called 911.
Spice 1 has undergone surgery for his wounds at a local hospital, but remains in critical condition.
While nothing was stolen from the 37-year-old rapper, police have started processing the vehicle in hopes of finding clues.
Police are seeking a 5-foot-7 White or Latino male who was dressed in all black.
Spice 1 is a Bay Area rap staple, who has collaborated with a whos who of artists, including UGK, Three 6 Mafia, Too $hort, C-Bo, Tupac, Yukmouth, MC Eiht, B-Legit, E-40 and others.
“Spice 1 is a Hip-Hop legend and I pray that he makes a speedy recovery,” E-40 told AllHipHop.com.
