(AllHipHop News) How much free time does a group known for touring most of the year have in between a nightly gig on The Jimmy Fallon Show and recording for their 13th album? Enough to headline a tailgating party on the day of the Super Bowl.
Twenty year Hip Hop veteran collective, The Roots will headline Rolling Stone magazine-hosted Jeep Heroes Tailgate at New Orleans’ Generation Hall. Drummer Questlove will also have a DJ set at the festivities. The event is set to take place on February 3rd from Noon to 4pm.
Recently The Roots revealed the perplexing title of their upcoming 13th studio album, “& Then You Shoot Your Cousin”. Additionally, Questlove informed Billboard that a collaborative album with English singer-songwriter legend Elvis Costello will precede “& Then You Shoot Your Cousin”.
The Roots will also hold their sixth annual Roots Picnic on June 1st 2013 at Festival Pier in Philadelphia, PA. Artists slated to perform include, but are not limited to Gary Clark Jr, Joey Bada$$, Trinidad James, Hit-Boy and hip hop legends Naughty By Nature.
