Hip-Hop Rumors: What Would Make Joey Badass Go At Trinidad James?

This young man Joey Badass reminds me of a young Nas, but with a bit more brashness than Nas when he first came out. Not lyrically, I mean his outward cockiness. He’s dope and apparently sees Trinidad as a bit beneath him.

The pair are about to be on the Under The Influence Tour with Wiz and A$AP and he made it clear that he’s not opening up the show.

He tweeted: “If I’m under Trinidad James I’m not doing the Under The Influence Tour. Straight. No disrespect to the man on gold, but I just don’t like seeing myself at the bottom. APEX.”

The crazy thing is there were some other people from the tour to pick on like Berner, Chevy Woods and Smoke DZA. But he picked Trinidad James. Mr. James hasn’t had any response, but he certainly cannot be happy. And now, Trini Man has relaxed his afro so he no longer looks like Jerome from Martin.

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry! -illseed.]

Going after a mentally challenged retard shit.

  • Bwest

makes perfect since – he not so focused on the money like that – they both got on about the same time – and Trinidad James cant rap. New York better support that boy – he’s the best shot yall got

    • nah he been on before TJ….. I hate when people say no disrespect and then say disrespect . i think there’s room for both of their styles of music though…

      • What difference does it make if the money is right?

He should take the work, but I understand where he’s coming from….but he really hasn’t paid dues yet.

I think his best approach was to open up & shut it down during his set….establish the mark so high…..dudes don’t want to perform after him….unless they ‘Bout that “Lyrically.”

      • you’re right, stage presence isn’t easy though, I bump alot of rappers but I only see myself going to the show of like 10. I’d rather see Katy Perry perform lol

      • i like joey bad a$$ but that lowered points to me. why are you worrying about the next man? do what you do. and if you listened to how james articulates himself you now he’s not stupid.

      • I bet KRS is one of them…with or without beats.

      • Johnny Sanchez

UrFred UrBroke, you lost at katy perry and lol.

      • My jimmies have not been rustled, Internet insults don’t phase me lol. I said what I said for effect and it worked

  • $25766220

Joey’s smokerclubs mate is Smoke DZA. He just tight his name under Trinidad’s in the promo poster

  • Eric Emajor Jackson

I guess I gotta go listen 2 this kid and see what the fuss is about.

  • Eric Emajor Jackson

    he’s nice

  • John Blaze

Joey Name Behind T. James On The XXL Freshman Magazine Cover Also……I’m Sure He Cried About That Too At Some Point…..

  • Negro Peligro

man trini James mix tape I can’t put it down. everything ain’t lyrical sometimes its just a good song. give afuck song by Trini James my favorite song out. forget who would win at scrabble just Trini shit knocking hard. Trini joint is on a Victoria secret commercial joey badass who is that.

    • Johnny Sanchez

Right, because being on a vicotria secrets commercial is straight hiphop. FOH.

      • DollasTX

man shut up – niggahs was on madden/nba live/2k forever … is that straight hip hop??

      • n n

No that is a video game .smh

      • Johnny Sanchez

Son you must’ve fell off your rocker this morning. Madden, live, and 2k have more association with hiphop in its rawest than victoria secrets ever will. You must be between 18-22 years young. Its ok, however, learn something.

      • DollasTX

daughter lol … i would rather be associated with THONGS N THINGS – then a sweaty azz men’s locker room full of down low athletes lol

take your pick homey … cuz aint neither one of them ALL HIP HOP

      • Smoke Peacefully

Its giving hiphop a voice at a place where I never heard of it being.

    • King Flashy TheFirst

His song is not on Victoria Secret. The commercial uses a EDM song that James also sampled.

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

so why not just buy the instrumental you’d save money lol but yeah thats a dope track def cant front on that …

  • dee

its a shame to see ni**as like trinidad james get a deal when real mc’s cant even get on

    • Smoke Peacefully

Maybe real mc’s need to grind a little harder like the wack mc’s do.

      • Grind dont have nothing to do with it nowadays, just coonery.

      • Mega Don

exactly you could be nice dope grind hard and still don’t get on is pay for play in this business and who you know

      • idk about that, if paying was the way to make it I think there would be more than 5 different artists playing on Hot97. The issue with media gatekeepers is they try to tell people what they like instead of paying attention to what they really like. How else do you explain rappers w hits and no $ and rappers without hits w plenty of it. (Think ex-Young Money member Curren$y)

      • RMfag

        I dont 100 agree.

      • Smoke Peacefully

Coonery is being broke and jealous of others. I guess all the artists who laid the ground work for these artists to be on Billboard charts, in Grammy’s were coons too. Will Smith was the biggest coon of them all and look where his grind got him.

      • It has less to do with coonery and more to do with being catchy and making a hit record. You can take 50 for example… back in the day on GRODT he had tracks that more “real” ass people felt to the max. However, In the club was just such a catchy ass song it lead the way for him to do as well as he has done.

      • Negro Peligro

house nigga. that’s something a house nigga say. you sound like Samuel l Jackson in that tarantno movie. ain’t none of my people coons or man tanning. fuc you. uncle tom house niggas sitting up laughing with master like Joey badass doing something different. they both slaves to the system

      • What alot of “underground” artists seem to forget is that music is and will always be for the people, there needs to be a balance between lyrics, beats and hooks to become one of the greatest. Alot of the lyrically superb say they don’t care about “making it” but when you hear who their top 5 is, you can tell its pure bull…They want the same acclaim and fame, just don’t know how to be the “all around” rapper.

      • *M.C.

      • I know you might not agree but a good rapper, good MC, good hip hop artist are interchangeable, it’s like splitting hairs to me

      • They can interchange, but there are many rappers that aren’t MC’s.

      • hoeyuno

Closing!! That’s why I’m a fan of both sides of rap. there’s a tone of mc’s that can rap circles around cats. but to put a whole song together that pushes them to the next level ain’t easy.

      • dee

no cause james just started rapping months ago not years he lucked up with a song and got on read his story he said it hisself he not even been rapping a year and grind has nothing to do with it wack mcs get on cause they willing to accept whatever they dont grind at all

      • Smoke Peacefully

And Trinidad has been grinding hard off that one single, while your favorite mc probably have a whole catalog of music and cant get one radio spin. Like this fool joey badass never heard one song from him yet he claim he better than TJ and refuse to open up for him, now how is he gonna get people who never heard of him to support him? Just goes to show so called real mcs lack the grind to be successful, and lack the intelligence to turn a profit with their music.

      • dee

well joey is everywhere been hearing about him for a min now so hes been heard its not about the grind in todays industry to be successful i mean i can make a song about some bullsh*t right now and might get on matter of fact take this lady for example who said aint nobody got time for that look at her now blow up off that u get what im saying its not about the grind

      • Smoke Peacefully

Its all about the grind that lady never gave up even after she was told nobody got time for that look.

      • dee

never gave up what ? what did she do from the start? but say aint nobody got time for that what else did she do?what grind was she working on?

      • Smoke Peacefully

Sorry I didnt understand the story reread what you originally wrote and make it clearer???? “take this lady for example who said aint nobody got time for that look at her now blow up off that u get what im saying its not about the grind”??????????

      • dee

im done replying to u mostly everything u post u have more thumbs down then anybody all your comments is mostly left field most of your debates is BS im done

      • Smoke Peacefully

So why reply at all then you could have kept that bs reply who cares. And if you want to go on votes it seems more people agree with me about the grind, which got 34 some thumbs up more votes than you have totaled in all of your posts put together and you say Im in left field. Try reading your last couple of replies if you looking for far left field.

Maybe real mc’s need to grind a little harder like the wack mc’s do.

      • God Body

Chasing money generated by sheep minded people doesn’t turn a profit. That’s short term thinking. It’s good right now, next year it’s all about WTF is Trinidad James? Trinidad James generates short term money for his label, that’s all he wrote. Meanwhile dude who crafted is work, built it to last, took the long way around, made sure he learned the business and didn’t get RAPED along the way would be who now?

      • Smoke Peacefully

Thats like a talented ball player saying he is not going to play in college or pros because he doesnt want to accept the money of sheep minded people, instead he will craft his work with little to no money while 100s of other ball players become successful in an oversaturated market generated by sheep minded people. Yea that makes alot of sense, why begin a craft and not learn the business first that makes no sense, and that explains exactly why most underground artists like this guy stay underground and complain about the success of other artists.

      • God Body

Not even close, your analogy is way off. He doesn’t play for a team he’s a soloist like a boxer or a tennis player or a golfer. He plays where it best suits him not his ‘team’. Who’s richer, Tiger Woods or your best NFL player. I bet Tigers first pay package was pittance in comparison to a first draft b baller, but I’d rather Tigers earning potential any day.

      • Smoke Peacefully

I see you dont know anything about getting money either. Tiger signed on to be in the Majors thats why he is not just your local golf course champion playing golf for fun (consider this your underground artist trying to craft his skill), just like your local boxer if he is good he signs up with a promoter to get fights to get money, he dont just go around doing amateur bouts (like your underground artist refusing to perform with other artists.) the fighter trying to fight better competition, if he is any good. Tennis players that are good enough to compete sign up for the ATP. They dont sit around playing amateur matches (which is what your underground artist does). Come on man only losers who cant get money dont know the business and I see why youngsters like you, like rappers who sit around and complain about the new successful rappers who can come in and make with one or two songs.

      • God Body

Good try, but, no cigar. Your analogy was way off, that was my point. These sports people you mention play for themselves that’s the ONLY point. They don’t play for a team and they don’t jump on every tour going, so you see, you kind of mad my point for me. Good luck next time.

      • Smoke Peacefully

Ok than why is Tiger Woods one of the highest paid golfers in the game because he plays for himself? The man is signed to the PGA (Professional Golfers Association). How can you play for a team in an individual sport there is no team in tennis, boxing, or golf? Of course they dont jump on every tour just the most profitable tours, so you see you kind of made my point for me, you dont know nothing about business or how to make money, that is why you can sit back and enjoy your broke rappers who spit intellectual BS talking about nothing.

      • God Body

Listen youngsta, The debate done long time. Your analogy didn’t pan out. Be graceful at least. You don’t know what me or anyone else on an internet comment forum knows or doesn’t know. It’s just my opinion verses yours. Stay in school, you have nothing to prove here, bless. Trinidad James still coonz it out no matter what you say #IJS LOL.

      • Smoke Peacefully

I know it has been over long time ago but evidently you are not smart enough to get it. I finished school with a couple of degrees I can help you earn yours if you need it youngster, stay in school, maybe you can get some business sense and learn how to earn a profit. You and your favorite underground rapper still mad you cant get money, and you all stay hating on the next man no matter what you say.

      • God Body

Spoken like a true youngsters. Paraphrase me likkle more. It’s entertaining how unoriginal your replies are getting. Bwoy child it’s been a blast.

      • Smoke Peacefully

What you going to keep going back in forth with me over nothing like a little youngster? You are not saying much, keep it moving you got it…you won… you proved that you know everything…..God bless.

      • God Body

On top of that you should realise that an underground artist earns more from small sales numbers than a major label backed artist does from going platinum. I did some research, this kid Joey turned down working for Jay Z himself because he reckons he can earn more on his own steez. Where Trini at LOL? Steady getting raped by which ever executive at Def Jam controls his account (you know he owes them right now yeah?). Stay backing the coonz and while you’re at it teach your children to gwarn so. cha!!! bun dat!!!

      • Smoke Peacefully

He reckons he can earn, thats exactly why he will stay underground making little to no money, I guess he reckons he can make more money sitting at home instead of performing with Trinidad James in front of sheepminded people who will be paying him to see his wack performance. I guess thats why TI, Rick Ross, Luda, Scarface, Jay-Z and countless other artists signed to major labels are getting money, because they were smart enough to understand the business and still sign to labels unlike the dumb artists who spit intellectual bs and cant understand the business therefore sit around, cry, bitch, and complain while others are succeeding like this clown Joey Dumass. Why would I teach my kids to follow hiphop, R&B, country or any other artist? That is exactly what is wrong with youngsters like you following other people no mind of your own. I am making sure to teach my kids not to think as ignorantly as you.

      • TJ didn’t grind at all bruh. He got famous on accident.

      • Smoke Peacefully

I see it was not an accident that this was a dumb comment.

      • Josh Sykes

Not true. No one grinds hard then for example the mcs in oddfuture(like them or not) and they are certainly better then trinidad james but you’ll never hear them on the radio

      • king joe

look at what odd future rap about though! the topic of their music is why u wont hear them on the radio. but you wont really hear anyone but what the radio wants us to hear. they play the same songs that talk about the same things. anything different than strip clubs drugs money n hoes, you wont hear the radio play. oh, and sex! but these artists plays their part which is to get the people focused on being entertained, and not what is important

      • Smoke Peacefully

What you talking about skateboard grinding?Gucci Mane even though he wack grinded way harder than any of those mcs and he dont care about the radio.. Master P wack as well grinded way harder than any of those mcs… Future, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj etc. all wack artists they stay grinding harder or just as hard as oddfuture.

      • As if Trinidad James grinded at all. He accidentally got famous.

    • ONE

      People want to be enterained

      • Dead wrong

Exactly. Music is naturally a mindless release. The whole damn world stays stressed out and is looking for an outlet..and that’s why drugs sell themselves……you.just got done studying-… getting ready to invite a chick to your dorm room to get drunk. I love my conscious musicians but none of their s*** will be getting played those nights

      • God Body

So that means we go the opposite direction towards coonery and clowning? Nah blud, I love to hear something edifying when I get home from a long day. Lets me know it ain’t all bullshit out there. I can relax on that. Trinidad has his place no doubt, but really though, he reminds me of the BS I have to endure from stupid people on a daily basis. the coonery is just too much for some of us to take, so we whine and complain. You ever see that movie ‘Idiocracy’. that’s what this boy reminds of.

      • Smoke Peacefully

I like to hear music I can groove to I dont want to hear some high school dropout who think they have super lyrics rapping over boring, slow music claiming that they are the best rapper in the world.. That reminds me of the BS I have to endure from ignorant people who are too busy complaining and not do anything to merit change. Trinidad James is having fun with the music whether people like it or not and this lame talking about he gonna turn down money if he has to open up because he believe he is better than James. Just goes to show his intelligence I would never support a man who is not willing to put in work.

      • n n

So basically you are saying you do not want be intellectually stimulated with thought provoking lyrics.? I pray you are not black.

      • Smoke Peacefully

Im black and Im intellectually stimulated by picking up and reading a book. If you are black I pray you chose to seek knowledge in a book and not in somebody else’s thought provoking lyrics.

      • God Body

Why would you pray that. Could he not just do both?

      • Johnny Sanchez

Fact, this “lame” has put in work already with veteran producers who want to work with him. Yes, they want to work with him. Producers that your favorite rapper would kill to have a song produced by them. But by all means, you go rock with that weird ass looking kid trinidad james.

      • God Body

Besides all that. Artists don’t need to chase every dollar available. If Joey is living good and he loves his art as much as he loves his money he doesn’t have to be under anyone he feels his art surpasses. Time to walk like a champion instead of accepting mediocracy. That yessamassa sht is for the coonz. I’m not even a Joey Badass fan, I just respect the hustle. eff these coonz boyeee!!!

      • God Body

I hear you, but maybe ones mans fun is another mans coonery. We all have our levels. Me personally, I’ve seen enough cooning and ni66erness to last me a life time. As long as there’s balance we can all have fun. One thing I’ve noticed is that there are now a lot more ‘intelligent’ emcees about the place these days, I don’t have to hear Trinidad, I can bump Ab-Soul / Nas / Black Thought /Big Krit or whatever, so it all good. BUT. This won’t make me stop commenting on these remedial class dopey dopes some of us THINK are fun. Makes me think people just take the easy route because they didn’t listen in class. Now everything complex is apparently boring to them. Cha!!! bun dat!!!

      • Dead wrong

Life IS a celebration though. the belief that stress or worry is needed to solve life’s problems or needed at all is a huge misconception. when the Buddha reached THAT level he had an ever-present ‘coon’ smile on his face. What pac say?…. so many things runnin’ through my mind you ain’t gotta be in jail to be doing time. The mind is it’s own place and can make a hell out of heaven or a heaven out of hell. where my man malcolm x find peace and solace…………in m-fkn prison E.njoying life seems to be working out nicely for trinidad, My NICCCAA lol

      • Johnny Sanchez

My dude, keep it for what it is. We’re talking about hiphop and the eternal debate of what is real hiphop and what isn’t. Don’t come with your Buddha antics, although, I feel what you’re saying. But this is Joey Badass and Trinidad James convo. Two polarizing artists.

      • Linkz

Fam most of these niggas dont know what polarizing is man you just went over they head ! lol

      • Dead wrong

People are free to support whatever they call ‘real hiphop’. as I stated in my earlier post its all energy. People felt the energy on ‘all gold”. Artists lace these tracks with their energy. It’s drugs for the eardrum, the raw uncut. Why get upset with a man that got 4 million people hooked? Joey should be working on being doper himself. …..my two cents. YouTube leveled the playing field. with the exception of some trickery people vote withtheir views. So-called real hiphop heads should put out the real and just sit back and wait…. Then congratulate whomever gets them coming back for a second plate. I have to go now. I just saw a n**** pull up in a benz with a few dime pieces. Instead of working on my own thing I’m going to go harass dude and talk shyt about him. I should have the nice car with the pretty Puerto Rican boppers in it.

      • God Body

yeah, your nicca is some coon to me. Who’s stressing? My smile is everlasting and self made. If the intellect stresses people out so much that might explain a few things.

      • Dead wrong

good, so you agree that fun celebratory music is a good thing.

      • God Body

I agree that mediocracy is celebrated by the mediocre. We can all have fun saying/doing stupid sht, but there’s limits to that. Trinidad take it over the line in my humble opinion.

      • Dead wrong

The GODS that know who they are stay in their own lane and respect the lanes of others. The gods that don’t know disrespect other gods because they can’t see that all roads lead to the same Source.

      • God Body

LOL. That was some funny sht you just said there. The irony is killing me. #dead

    • Dead wrong

Real can’t mean depressing. It’s all energy, especially when it comes to music. Do you feel hype or motivated after hearing a track ? … That’s the question. People WANT to feel that way. A conscious musician will rise that both motivates and teaches at the same time. 3 stacks was there for a minute. Dull energy is dull energy regardless of one’s lyrical skills.

    • DollasTX

maybe them niggahs aint HUSTLE hard enough to get noticed

    • RMfag

I think he got a deal because his peni is bigger and shinier than mine. Id def suck that golden phallus off.

    • Lol people have offered Joey deals, but with his “cockiness” as the author put it, he turned them down saying that he wanted no less than 3 mill on the sign off from what I’ve read.

  • BOO BOE

yall niggas gonna respect trinidad, scooter and gucci!!

  • BOO BOE

tha god say you got ya hair permed got a manicure you changing next thing you know you get yo teeth fixed. he throw that in quik right jab

  • Yef

now he looks like antoine dodson when he made his song

  • Pingback: SoundwavezRadeo » Hip-Hop Rumors: What Would Make Joey Badass Go At Trinidad James?()

Our cultures Image is being transformed so people don’t take the art seriously anymore. Bamboozled all over again, History always repeats itself.

    • God Body

Yeah, it’s a shame some don’t see it that way. They have no regard for how it effect us on a macro level. When I see Trinidad I see a buffoon. If someone in my professional career associates me with this buffoonery just because the tenuous link is hip hop it’s kind of depressing. We just keep fighting this fight, Trini James just makes it harder. I guarantee you when some of these youngers grow up they will look back think, WTF was I thinking co-signing this BS. We live and we learn though. Peace

  • Guillaume Pilon

    joey ))))))))))))))))))) trinidad

  • don king

smoke dza is way better than james. the wackest dude on the tour is berner, but he got the weed. joey is better than alot of the guys, but he needs 2 simply handle things like that behind the scenes, out of the public n not on twitter like a bitchy lil girl.

  • Dead wrong

What trinidad eat don’t make ya’ll shyyt

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

truuuuuuu but what he spits does impact our ears and his commercial image impacts our eyes IJS lol 😉

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

but dont get me wrong out of alot of the artist getting flack today i actually like trinidad james im a fan and thats cause he keeps it 100 just like waka i give those dudes props they dont be trying to stretch that music persona outside the music …..

  • MildManneredReporter

his album was actually dope. if yall get past all gold eveything and his look and listen to the album u might actually be surprised.. this coming from a person who cant stand gucci waka or anybody like that. gold on my macbook, females welcomed, madden on gamecube, give no f@$ks all dope tracks .

    • GregSki86

aka if you mute the whole album while high off molly, gtfoh n*gga w/ ya lame a*s

      • MildManneredReporter

shouldnt you be smoking weed and playing madden somewhere fag?

  • MildManneredReporter

    also joey badass is wack

  • I guess James is letting it be made official that he is gay. The teeth say it all.

  • Mitchell Patterson

People don’t realize that a lot of your favorite mc’s first songs/demos weren’t that good. Maybe they had one good song or two. The thing with TJ, his first demo blew up! I think people are underestimating this guy. As if rapping isn’t something you can get better at if you work at it hard enough.

And all that black people calling each other coons shit, ain’t what’s up.

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

come again his demo blew up ?? lol that boy rolled that ish out …. demos are submitted to labels and producers for work ….. they usually dont include crystal clear videos on youtube for the public to see lol ……and he aint the first one …. samething happen with waka flocka …. cheef keef ….. etc………. but that dont mean they tight … if thats the case why didnt def jam sign the chocalate rain guy ??? lol but guys like trinidad and keef trolled for thier buzz … it didnt have anything to do with talent ……. flockas a little different i would say his was origanic cause it did start on a street level mixtape club level and it went from there …………… he popularity def grew because of his music …… and not a bunch of immature antics, well he had some but it all references back to the music lol ….

      • Mitchell Patterson

It’s just a different culture nowadays. But yes, a project you record yourself on beats you downloaded from the internet is a demo. Even though they call those mixtapes today. Compared to what type of work goes into a real album.

My point is, this is where he is after 9-10 months rapping. And he seems like someone who is determined and used to people hating/underestimating him. And it’s refreshing to see his demeanor in interviews. All you usually see is arrogance, ass kissing or someone flat-out acting in these interviews. If you check out his other songs, he’s not that bad. I’ve seen and heard way worse.

I’ll admit it, I like two of his songs. One more good Trinidad song and I’m a fan.

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

i can dig it …. he did blow off his first project with no major cosigns …. and i actually like trini because i felt his delivery was onpoint and the music made sense it wasnt some rich nigga sh*t … but it was some nigga sh* if you get what im sayin lol sprinkled with ish that anyone can relate too … and he was reppin atlanta pretty hard and i could imagin anyone living that ATL life can really relate to what he was saying …. i gave him props for his music from the gate … due to the his image tho i kind of lump him with the rest of the noise in hip hop today but hes one of the few that i actually like ….. i just wish others would get the same opps that he was able to get …. + like you said the realness in his interviews is hard to over look ….. i can respect that real recognize real ……….

  • Michael Thompson II

Dude look like a female. What’s wrong with these niggas yo??

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

looks like danny boy sadly danny boy still got a worser grill tho lol

      • leftlanekb

Why are yall worried about there looks ? Thats SUSPECT

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

what do you mean one element of hip hop is the look … when someone has something to say you dont agree with its suspect …. if folks said that new look was dope … would you say thats suspect ??????? come on son !!!!!!!!!

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

100% cosign, Joey Badass is the future, Trinidad is a f*ckin a*sclown

  • ItGoesDownINtheDM

just peeped the interview and like i said thats why i mess with trini cause dude keeps it 100 … it aint like he out there trying to protray to know it all or to have the best music just doing him i can respect that

    • Mitchell Patterson

I mean, think about it – how rare is that?
It’s crazy that he gets called the coon, when he owned multiple legal businesses before he even started rapping. He’s obviously intelligent. And he’s not an asshole. I’ll check out some of Joey Badass’ music later today because I’m curious. But so far, Joey seems like an asshole. He’d rather shit in his hand and throw it at Trinidad, than outperform him on stage.

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

tru but sadly joey makes the exact kind of music i like to listen to so regardless imma ride with joey too lol plus i kind of take it like how the south used to be … when the east was hot …. the east coast is now on some THE EAST COAST GOT SOMETHING TO SAY ISH …….. folks been having the east coast on mute for a minute UNLESS you cater to whats popular in the mainstream

  • BigHomie337

Trinidad James is a clown with garbage music, and Joey Bad Ass is a cocky New York nigga with garbage music. At lease James is a humble dude when you hear his interviews.

  • AK

heard they dont know what to do with trinidad at def jam anymore

  • southside4lyfe

I wouldn’t go on to tour with them the only people that will be attending this concert is wanna be hippies and molly heads. Everybody that smokes weed doesn’t want to listen to all that fuckery.

It is well known within the professional hip hop community that Trinidad James had some investors that put 75K behind having all gold everything played in heavy rotation on radio stations in Miami, Houston, NYC and so forth. It worked, this is a pay for play business. You want to get your songs on the radio, doesn’t matter how whack you are as an artists, just pay the DJ’s. Welcome to the music industry kids.

  • I’m all for intellectual music but most of you cats don’t realize or choose to ignore that Hip Hop started as party music. Let people have fun. That is all.

Joey Bada$$ and the whole Beast Coast movement is Beautiful Music period. Bringing back the boom bap era with a modern twist. Respect that kid and the movement. He should not even be in the same book as Trinidad James. They make different types of music anyway.

  • FREEfromslavery

is trinidad james a crusty ass clown biting off my nigga JEROME, yes. is his rap skills on the level of retarded 5th grader, yes. is he a peculiar looking coon who all of a sudden thinks he’s a pimp, yes. but at the end of the day the consumers of hip-hop which is YOU & the people in your generation seem to buy into his ghetto circus act that is mysteriously passing for hip-hop. i understand joey bad asses gripe with trinidad james but instead of whining like some broad just step your game up like kendrick lamar did and dickheads like trinidad james become obsolete. if im not mistaken kendrick started at the bottom and now look where his grind has taken to.

  • dremoney01

everybody always talking about money. i don’t care how much money this retard trinidad james got, he still wack. i got my own money. i don’t listen to an artist according to how much money and radio spins they got. f@#kin mindless edits. dope is dope. i don’t care if joey was homeless eating sardine sandwiches the kid is dope.don’t you notice all this mindless bulls@#t radio stations push on us every day? wonder why political rap gets no air play anymore? wake up idiots
