Digable Planets Announce Summer 2016 Reunion Tour

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop fans will soon have the chance to once again experience respected 1990’s rap group Digable Planets. The trio composed of Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler, Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, and Craig “Doodlebug” Irving are reuniting for a nationwide summer tour.

According to Brooklyn Vegan, Digable Planets has announced show dates starting in May. The tour will include stops at the Sasqutch! Music Festival, the Essence Festival, and the Pitchfork Music Festival.

The creators of the critically acclaimed 1993 album Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space) began their return to the spotlight at a New Year’s Eve show in Seattle. Camp Lo will join DP as an opening act for the reunion tour.

Digable Planets’ last studio LP was Blowout Comb released in 1994. The group dropped the compilation album Beyond the Spectrum: The Creamy Spy Chronicles in 2005.
