Cam’Ron and Dave East host special NYC “The Infiltrator” screening for Hip Hop’s trend setters.

Bryan Cranston, formerly of  television’s “Breaking Bad,” has always had street cred when it comes to folks who can appreciate good hustle and flow when it comes to drug tales of the city.

Seeing as this is Cranston’s acting milieu, it fits that his latest movie, “The Infiltrator,” where Cranston stars as real life US customs agent Robert Mazur, the man who toppled drug kingpin Pablo Escobar’s money laundering outfit from deep inside, got some special treatment on July 7, 2016 from the likes of Dipset’s Cam’Ron and XXl Freshman Dave East with a private NYC VIP screening.

The exclusive invitation only screening, hosted by Cam’Ron and East, included the likes of Hip Hop Culture trend setters Kazeem Famuyide, Editor-In-Chief of Stashed, celebrity chef Chef Roblé and fashion blogger Claire Sulmers of FashionBombDaily.com, to name a few in what was a packed house.

“The Infiltrator,” which performed within projected industry expectations in it’s opening weekend, coming in eighth at $5.3 million domestically, still has some yardage to make up via word of mouth in a box office dominated by bigger more firmly franchised summer fare like “Ghostbusters” and “Finding Dory.”

However, what the film doesn’t have in franchise recognition it makes up for in spades with the authentic and richly complex performances of Cranston and a strong supporting cast headed by top drawer co-star John Leguizamo and a delicious “Scarface” worthy gem in the fresh faced Diane Kruger.

“The Infiltrator,” is a Broad Green Pictures release starring Bryan Cranston, John Leguizamo, Diane Kruger and Benjamin Bratt currently playing at a theater near you.
