Rapper Ludacris is set to star in a film about BMX rider John Buultjens. “Boyhood’s” Shane Graham will portray Buultjens, while the “Furious 7” star and Sasha Alexander will play the BMX rider’s foster parents. “BMX” will be directed Alex Ranarivelo and will center on Buultjens’ childhood in Scotland and his bond with his foster father, who bought him his first bike and helped him overcome emotional issues in his life. Ali Afshar, Bryan Craig, George Kosturos and Jessica Michelle will also star in the movie.
Actor Kevin Hart is in negotiations to play Santa in a new Disney comedy. If the “Ride Along” star signs on to “Dashing Through the Snow,” he will reunite with producer Will Packer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film, about a New York City detective who has a difficult relationship with his son, is based on Scott Rosenberg’s idea and the current script is being written by Rob Burnett. Moviemakers are still reportedly looking for a director.
