Nas is the truth even though the album leaked I still predict 500,000+ first week. July 15 I will be at Best Buy first thing in the morning.

These conference calls are very common. This one in particular is dope because Nas is smart and speaks knowledge. Lots of record labels do this near the release of the album to get DJs, street teams, media, and interns amped about going hard on promoting the album. You hear Young Sav (a very hard working guy) say July 15th about 20 times, its brain washing. The labels do this as an "incentive," but in all reality every label (except Atlantic) don't give street teams tickets to events that they are promoting. They use these calls to get you excited and in return give you a late ass check every month, (except Atlantic Records). But I respect what Nas is saying here, but labels please take care of the people that are on these streets promoting these artists. Can we take it back to getting plaques? tickets? a bonus? I don't know if there were any marketing or promo folks on this particular call, but I haven't seen shit about Nas on the streets of Chicago at all, and I'm out every night. But I will still buy this album... Just giving yall some food for thought.
