Two-time Grammy Award winner DJ Toomp is one of several Georgia musicians to be honored by the state's Governor, Sonny Perdue, at a private dinner set to take place on March 19th at the Governor's Mansion in Atlanta's posh Buckhead neighborhood.

The event will celebrate Georgia's Grammy nominees and winners, including Outkast, Keyshia Cole, Akon, Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Gnarls Barkley, Angie Stone and India.Arie.

All Grammy Award winning musicians currently reside in the state of Georgia.

"It's a great honor to be noticed by the Governor for all of the hard work we put in everyday as artists and musicians," says DJ Toomp, who received his second Grammy win this year for Best Rap Song with the T-Pain-assisted, Kanye West hit "Good Life."

Toomp and Kanye scored a second nomination in the same category for "Can't Tell Me Nothing," and another for the same track for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

DJ Toomp's previous Grammy win, also for Best Rap Song, came in 2006, with T.I.'s "What You Know," one of the many hit's he's crafted for the self-proclaimed King of the South.

The two also scored a nomination for 2004's "U Don't Know Me."

While best known for his work with T.I., DJ Toomp, born Aldrin Davis, has a career spanning close to two decades, working with a wide range of artists including Lil' Jon, 2 Live Crew, Jay-Z, 8Ball & MJG, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross.

His upcoming work includes tracks on Mariah Carey's E=MC2, Nicole Scherzinger and Glasses Malone's debut albums, and new projects by Slim Thug, Missy Elliott, and Shawty Redd.

Toomp is also set to appear on the producer panel for Sha Money XL's second annual One Stop Shop Conference, March 8th and 9th in Phoenix, Arizona.

He will share the stage with DJ Premier, Rockwilder, Don Cannon, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock, DJ Quick, 9th Wonder, No ID, Clinton Sparks, Swizz Beatz and Nottz.
