Wale Talking To Kanye West About Designing New Washington Wizards Uniforms

THE DC NATIVE WANTS TO BE ALL INCLUSIVE WHILE WORKING WITH HIS HOMETOWN BASKETBALL TEAM

In case you didn’t know, Wale has a day job. He is the creative liaison for his home b-ball team, the Washington Wizards and his duties include helping design team merchandise and assisting with social media promotions and content for Monumental Network.

In the new issue of ESPN The Magazine, the Festivus rapper talks about the perks of working with his favorite team and mentions that he hit up Yeezus himself to discuss revamping the team’s jerseys.

“My job is to provide a spark, at all costs,” said the MMG rep. “I’m not going to do anything corny, but I’m talking to Kanye about designing new uniforms. I want to see the phone booth rocking every time I come here. I want to create the “Lake Show,” create what the Bulls had. I want to take the personality of our stars — John, Otto, Marcin — and create what Kemp and Payton had, what LeBron and D-Wade had. That’s the vibe I want.”
