(AllHipHop News) A new television show is set to follow the lives of some prominent Hip Hop figures’ offspring. According to The Hollywood Reporter, cable network We tv picked up six episodes of Growing Up Hip Hop.

The “docu-series” will star reality TV veteran Angela Simmons (daughter of Rev. Run), actor/rapper Romeo Miller (son of Master P), businessman Damon “Boogie” Dash (son of Dame Dash), musician Egypt Criss (daughter of Pepa and Treach), disc jockey TJ Mizell (son of Jam Master Jay), and singer-songwriter Kristinia DeBarge (daughter of James DeBarge).
Dame Dash, Rev. Run, Russell Simmons, Master P, El DeBarge and Pepa are included in the cast as well. Romeo Miller, Angela Simmons, and Master P are also attached as co-producers. Growing Up Hip-Hop is scheduled to premiere in late 2015.
The new series comes on the heels of the massive success of Fox’s drama Empire. Other music/Hip Hop themed projects in the works includes a remake of The Wiz on NBC, The Get Down on Netflix, and The Breaks on VH1.
