(AllHipHop News) VICE Media has teamed with A&E to launch a new 24-hour cable channel called VICELAND. Many of the programs set to be featured on the network were developed by famed filmmaker/music video director Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Jay Z & Kanye West’s “Otis”).

“It feels like most channels are just a collection of shows. We wanted VICELAND to be different, to feel like everything on there has a reason to exist and a strong point of view,” states Jonze. “Our mission with the channel is not that different from what our mission is as a company: It’s us trying to understand the world we live in by producing pieces about things we’re curious about, or confused about, or that we think are funny.”
Some of the series to air on VICELAND include Huang’s World, VICE World Of Sports, Weediquette, Flophouse, and Party Legends. Action Bronson’s F*ck That’s Delicious and Michael K. Williams’ Black Market will appear on the TV network as well. Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Earl Sweatshirt are also featured in the trailer for VICELAND.
