Taylor Swift Responds To Kanye West’s “I Made Her Famous” Remark During Grammy Speech (VIDEO)

THE POP STAR HAS WORDS FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO “UNDERCUT” HER SUCCESS

(AllHipHop News) It looks like Kanye West reignited his issues with Taylor Swift. The G.O.O.D. Music leader found himself in another media firestorm when he premiered his latest album The Life Of Pablo. The TLOP song “Famous” includes Ye rapping, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b*tch famous.”

Kanye later sent out a series of tweets where he stated he did not intentionally diss the Pop superstar. The Chicago rapper/producer even claimed he spoke with Swift about the song and she gave her blessings for the lines.

A representative for Swift has since stated the conversation between the two stars did not include the 1989 singer okaying Kanye’s lyrics about her. During her acceptance speech at the 58th annual Grammy Awards, Swift subtly responded to Ye’s “I made that b*tch famous” remark.

“I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” said Swift. “But if you just focus on the work and don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know it was you and the people who love you who put you there.”

The entire ordeal stems from Kanye’s infamous interruption of Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Taylor had just won the Best Female Video VMA for “You Belong With Me” off her 2008 sophomore LP Fearless. She was also nominated for Best New Artist at the ’08 Grammys but lost to Amy Winehouse.

Fearless sold over 592,000 copies in its first week of release. Swift’s next release, Speak Now, opened with 1,047,000 copies in 2010. Every Swift album since has sold over 1 million copies in its initial week.
