(AllHipHop News) Drake has postponed his Summer Sixteen tour dates in three cities across North America due to an ankle injury according to recent reports.
Rolling Stone indicates that the rapper’s appearances in Toronto, Philadelphia, and Newark will have to wait just a bit, as doctors have recommended that he gives it a rest.
“I hate to be told I can’t do something, but under doctor’s orders to allow me time to recuperate, I am being forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support,” Drake expressed in a statement.
The rapper then continued: “I am crushed to even be typing this announcement because I feel like I am letting my fans in these cities down. I only want to give you the best show you deserve, I promise — I will make it up to you.”
Drake’s co-headlining tour with Future is set to continue with its 51st show in the second of two planned performances at MetLife Stadium in Newark, New Jersey.
