Ray Vaughn wasted no time clowning Joey Bada$$ over his new diss track “ABK,” roasting the single on Twitter Saturday (July 19) with memes and a jab comparing it to a Will Smith freestyle.

The West Coast rapper didn’t stop there. He warned his peers to steer clear of the beef, suggesting Joey would play victim.
“I don’t want nobody in Cali gettin in,” Vaughn posted. “Cause he gone cry 20v1.”
After Joey’s supporters pushed back online, Vaughn doubled down with a smirk. “Okay I’m done trollin [crying laughing emoji] got yall in a uproar,” he wrote.
One user tried to dismiss him with a blunt “nobody cares about u.” Vaughn clapped back by posting a screenshot of Joey’s YouTube stats for “ABK,” which had pulled in just 42,000 views in two days.
“Dat man got 42k views in 2 days on a diss,” Vaughn replied. “He needs me to respond to sell that album. They care about me.”

When another user accused him of using the feud for attention, Vaughn pushed back. “No. If I wanted to clout chase I could’ve held my project til he dropped his Red B######## I knew it was comin then disses then dropped mid beef ! I didn’t. It was based on sportsmanship for me.”
Joey Bada$$ released “ABK” on Friday (July 18) as the lead single from his upcoming album Lonely at the Top. He premiered the track with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The song, short for “Anybody Killer,” is a hard-hitting New York anthem that takes aim at Vaughn and other West Coast rappers.
Joey Bada$$ & Ray Vaughn Trade Shots In Coast To Coast Rap Clash
Joey leans into the East Coast vs. West Coast dynamic with lines like “It’s the Beast Coast boogeyman, steppin’ in my Timberlands” and “thought I was light work, so they sent their little mans to kill me.”
He also throws shade with the line, “They tried to send the G-League n##### after the All-Star,” and revives the “TDEast” diss to needle his rivals.
The two rappers have been trading disses since early 2025, with Joey launching the first shot on “The Ruler’s Back.” Vaughn fired back with “Crashout Heritage,” and the beef escalated from there.
Joey’s “MY TOWN” and Vaughn’s “Golden Eye” kept the tension going, eventually drawing in other artists and turning the feud into a full-blown coast-to-coast standoff.
