(AllHipHop News) Tonight (November 19) the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network will hold its annual WEEN Awards gala. Rap legend MC Lyte, radio personality Angela Yee, and multi-media artist Vashtie are among the accomplished women to be honored at the event.
The WEEN Awards will take place at New York City’s Helen Mills at 6 pm. The proceeds from ticket sales go to help fund the organization’s educational programs. The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network is a collective of women and men of all ages and races that are committed to supporting, promoting, and defending the balanced, positive portrayal of women in entertainment and society.
