(AllHipHop News) President Barack Obama is a man of the people and with the help of Google+ he plans to “Hangout” with those people. Today (February 14th) at 4:50 p.m. EST the President will partake in the online event “Fireside Hangout” hosted and moderated by Google which uses the Google+ Hangout video chat client. President Obama will converse live with a select few individuals active on Google+ but others can submit a text or video question and vote on favorite questions.

Today’s video chat session is the latest in a series of Google+ Hangout collaborations between the White House and the tech giant. The first session was January 30th, 2012 and was the “first online conversation to happen at the White House in real time–ever,” according to the White House’s official website. Last month, Vice President Joe Biden held a virtual conversation to discuss gun violence and future policies. The White House has hosted other Hangout session on issues such as human trafficking, small businesses and many other pressing matters.

Recently, President Obama held his first State Of The Union Address since re-election and discussed plans to increase job creation, incentivizing corporate pollutant control as well as gun control reduction and more. The Chicago-native is also scheduled to speak at a hometown high school, Hyde Park Academy this Friday(Feb. 15th) about gun violence in the wake of Chicago’s recent murder rate
