(AllHipHop News) Not many people may know that Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit management use to be home to Atlanta rap duo OutKast. While the current daytime talk show host is no longer involved in the business affairs of Big Boi and Andre 3000, Latifah did mention on the The Howard Stern Show that Kast is planning to drop a new album.

When Stern asked Latifah what happened to OutKast, the rapper/actress replied, “They’re chilling. They’re doing movies. They’re about to work on a new album.” She then points out that she is not their manager at the moment.
It has been widely reported that OutKast was reuniting for their 20th anniversary with a series of concert dates in 2014 including headlining appearances at the Coachella and Governors Ball festivals, but the Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik creators have not formally announced they will be releasing new music this year. OutKast’s last official album was the soundtrack to the 2006 film Idlewild.

Last year speculation began that Andre would be releasing a solo album in 2014 after BET executive Stephen Hill tweeted he was told 3K was preparing to drop a new project. Dre’s publicist later denied the claimed. At the moment, OutKast fans will have to wait to see if Queen Latifah had inside knowledge of an upcoming album or just speaking off the cuff.
