(AllHipHop News) Solange has canceled her New Year’s Eve performance at South Africa’s Afropunk festival after revealing she has been diagnosed with autonomic disorder.

The “Cranes in the Sky” singer has gone public with her nerve disorder condition in a lengthy message on Instagram, in which she explains why she cannot take the stage at the end-of-year celebration in Johannesburg.

“The past five months I have been quietly treating, and working through an Autonomic Disorder,” she writes. “It been a journey that hasn’t been easy on me… Sometimes I feel cool, and other times not so cool at all. It’s a complicated diagnoses, and I’m still learning so much myself, but right now, my doctors are not clearing me for such an extended lengthy flight, and doing a rigorous show right after…”.

Solange goes on to apologize for scrapping the appearance, but vows to perform at the festival in the future.

“I give you my ABSOLUTE WORD I will come back with AfroPunk and deliver this performance…..as it is so extremely important to me to connect with the people who have so closely inspired me in so many ways,” she continues. “I can’t thank Afro Punk enough for their support, and to all of the other festivals this past summer/fall who have known about my health, kept it confidential, and gone out of their way to make me feel supported while doing these shows. As a part of the self care that I’ve tried to encourage this past year, it needs to start with myself, and I’m looking forward to doing a better job of this (in) 2018…”

Festival organizers have also issued their own statement online about the change of plans, expressing their support and well wishes for Solange.

It reads: “It is incredibly important to those of us at AFROPUNK that she recovers and remains in good health. Her music and spirit has been a place of great comfort and inspiration to us as a community. And of course we are incredibly saddened that she will no longer be performing at the inaugural AFROPUNK Joburg this weekend.”

The news emerges after Solange pulled out of performing at Florida State University’s Homecoming concert last month due to a medical condition, although she did not detail the exact nature of her ailment at the time.

Common symptoms of autonomic disorders can include dizziness and fainting upon standing.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper 2 Chainz has accused the plaintiff suing him over an outstanding car payment of impersonating his lawyer in an alleged attempt to convince him to settle the case.

Joshua Waddell of Highline Holdings Group filed suit against the “I’m Different” hitmaker in October, claiming he agreed to buy a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead for just over $262,200.

The car was delivered to 2 Chainz’s home with $18,320 still outstanding on his tab, and when he reportedly refused to pay up, Waddell pursued legal action.

However, 2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, is demanding the case be tossed after accusing Waddell of resorting to fraudulent actions to settle the dispute.

According to TMZ , he alleges Waddell initially sent him texts from an unidentified number posing as 2 Chainz’s lawyer, suggesting he pay the balance and interest to resolve the case.

The hip-hop star caught on to the ploy as he recognized the phone number from prior communications, but days later, he received another text from a different number.

He claims that was Waddell pretending to be a lawyer for his car sales firm, telling 2 Chainz they had been awarded a default judgment, although there was no such evidence to back up the statement.

The rapper has since confirmed the texts were never sent by the two parties’ lawyers, and now he wants Waddell to pay the price for his alleged meddling and have a judge dismiss the suit.

There have also been public confrontations on Everyday Struggle from celebrities such as Wale, Vic Mensa, and Ashanti. Former co-host Joe Budden even revealed on his podcast that he had to step in behind-the-scenes to settle issues between Akademiks and rappers like 21 Savage and G Herbo.

Budden and Charlamagne placed Nicki on their “trash” list for 2017. Banks, who recently became an unofficial Minaj defender, addressed the two pundits in a series of Instagram Story posts.

(AllHipHop News) Two of the year’s rap Grammy nominees could be linking up on a record in the future. Both Cardi B (Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance) and Rapsody (Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album) are up for two honors at the 60th annual Recording Academy ceremony next month.

Rapsody recently stopped by Everyday Struggle to dicuss her career and accomplishments. While on the Complex talk show, the North Carolina representative was asked if she is interested in collaborating with Cardi.

“I would love to work with her. She’s dope and she’s fun. I like her energy. She’s just herself,” stated Rap. “I haven’t heard a lot of her mixtapes, but I love ‘Bodak Yellow’ and I love the joint she did with Migos [MotorSport].”

She added, “I turn up to it. It’s cool.”

In addition, Rapsody and Cardi B have been shouting each other out on Twitter. The last few weeks saw Cardi tweeting about liking Rapsody’s music, and the “Sassy” spitter returned the love when “Bartier Cardi” dropped.

(AllHipHop News) NBA star James Harden will offer up a strong showing of support for imprisoned rapper Meek Mill tomorrow night (December 28) in Philadelphia.

Hardin visited Meek at the State Correctional Institute in Chester, Pennsylvania, where the rapper is serving a two to four-year sentence for violating his probation.

James Harden will be sporting a pair of sneakers that say “Free Meek Mill” during tomorrow night’s matchup between the Houston Rockets and the 76ers, in Philly.

Rick Ross, who signed Meek to his Maybach Music Group record label in 2011, posted a picture of the sneakers on his Instagram.

James Harden adds to a growing list of celebrities, politicians, and athletes who have offered up support for Meek Mill.

In addition to Hardin, Colin Kaepernick’s, Jay-Z, T.I. and the Reverend Al Sharpton have expressed strong support for Meek while condemning the judge who has been overseeing his probation since 2008.

The sentence caused a national uproar sparked an FBI investigation, and brought nationwide attention to the injustices carried out in the criminal justice system in the United States.

DJ Khaled teased a top secret project with J.Lo via Instagram in the lead up to Christmas, first sharing a snap of the pair in the studio.

On an episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” the host weighed in on the “212” star’s feud with fellow rapper Remy Ma, who recently posted screenshots on social media of text messages from Azealia in which she allegedly asked her for a collaboration.

Wendy said in one of the messages, Azealia told Remy she needed a vaginal rejuvenation, and continued, “Well if you’re worn out at 26 and you got no kids… now we understand how she gets her money. She’s got no kids and she’s 26, with a vaginal rejuvenation, wow, she works hard for her money.”

At the time, Azealia told her followers she was upset by the controversial remarks, and now she revealed she was taking legal action.

She posted a since deleted meme of Wendy on Instagram which featured the message, “The last five years taught me when you’re an Azealia Banks stan (fan), you can make it thru anything (sic),” and in the caption, she added, “TOUGH AS STEEL… Wendy is getting sued top of 2018.”

Azealia and Remy’s feud kicked off in December when Azealia tweeted that Remy hadn’t “done a single thing to move the cultural needle” since she emerged from jail in 2014.

Doran Moore, aka Mista Mo, was an artist signed to Block Enterprises and was a big part of the label’s new #rebuildingHipHopblockByBLOCK movement.

According to local police , Mista Mo was gunned down in the driveway of a residence last Thursday (December 21), just hours after he left a charity event for children in his hometown of Jacksonville.

Mista Mo, who was a father of two and expecting a newborn, worked with artists like Ralo, Young Greatness, and others.
