Gucci Mane Performs For The First Time Out Of Prison

(AllHipHop News) These last couple of weeks have been great to Gucci Mane.

Not only was the Atlanta rapper released from prison early, just in time for Memorial Day weekend, but his first single “First Day Out Tha Feds” was premiered on Breakfast Club.

He’s also worked with Kanye West and almost everyone from G.O.O.D Music to drop the first single off of the label’s Cruel Summer LP.

Last night, Guwop finally performed for the first time following his release from prison, and received nothing but love in his hometown of Atlanta.

The set was Gucci’s first in several years, but he performed like he’s been doing it for the half-decade, with beloved Guwop songs like “Pillz” and “Lemonade.”

Gucci also performed his latest songs, including “First Day Out Tha Feds.”

Rapper Jay Z And Beyonce Are Looking To Cop A $93 Million Mansion

(AllHipHop News) Jay Z and Beyoncé’s relationship seems to be tighter than ever, despite all of the speculation about the rocky relationship after her album Lemonade dropped.

The couple are reportedly making plans to plunk down $93 million, for a brand-new mansion in Beverly Hills’ ultra exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood.

According to Variety, the mansion sits on two acres of pristine property, custom-built for the superstars

The 38,000 square-foot mansion, will be constructed on a lot that once housed Barbra Streisand’s estate.

Once it’s completed, Jay Z and Beyoncé’s new estate will have 10 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, a 5000 square-foot master bedroom, off street parking for 50 cars and a 10 car subterranean garage.

There’s more.

The estate will house an entertainment complex with a full sized professional movie theater, a beauty salon, a spa, an indoor waterfall, tennis courts, basketball courts and even their own private hiking trail.

If Jay Z and Beyoncé close the deal, it would definitely make up for the defeat they reportedly suffered in March, after they were outbid by Tom Ford for a different $50 million estate last month.

The listing agent for the house told Variety that Jay Z and Beyoncé had not yet closed on escrow, and therefore the house was currently still available for purchase, as the couple makes their final decision.

Producer Claims Dr. Dre Pimped Him For 50 Cent’s “P.I.M.P.” Track

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent and Dr. Dre are the targets of a lawsuit from producer Brandon “Dirty Bird” Parrott, over their 2003 hit track “P.I.M.P.”

According to TMZ, Parrott sent 10 tracks to Dr. Dre in 2001, with hopes of landing placement with artists under the West coast legend’s tutelage at Aftermath.

According to Parrott, Dr. Dre admitted that he used portions of the producer’s track “BAMBA” in “P.I.M.P.”

Parrott alleges that Dr. Dre also stated that he was unaware that Parrott’s work would be included in the final edits of the track.

Parrott eventually agreed to a settlement deal of an undisclosed amount based on Dre’s claims that the unauthorized usage was a mistake.

However, Parrott recently gathered info that suggested the contrary, which has led him to further pursue legal matters in the situation.

“P.I.M.P.” was a hit single from 50 Cent’s 2003 debut release Get Rich Or Die Tryin.

The highly decorated album went on to go six times platinum according to the RIAA.

Tyga just can’t catch a break. People have been saying his new song “1 On 1” is not only wack, but it also seems to bite Drake’s style with “Controlla.” “1 on 1” shows Tyga in a different musical space with the vibe, sound, and singing and rapping. Nick Young Talks His Rap Career, Signing Up For Jay Z’s Tidal & Engagement To Iggy Azalea

(AllHipHop News) Nick Young may have missed out on the NBA playoffs this year, but the Los Angeles Lakers player has plenty to say about the current Finals match-up between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The man also known as Swaggy P touched on the series during his interview with the Ballin’ Out podcast. Young was also asked about his turn as a rapper, his opinion of the Jay Z led Tidal streaming service, and his relationship with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.

On his “rap career”:

I’ve been a rapper since I was born… before I could talk. It was just something to do in the neighborhood. I remember my brother used to hang the recorder from a shoestring hanging from the ceiling. We used to just be in there playing around, rapping. It’s nothing I took serious, but I think I could handle my own.

On Tidal:

Yeah, [I have a Tidal account,] but I got a lot of grief from it. My lady was like, “You’re just gonna sign up for Tidal for him. You didn’t want to do it for me.” I said, “Let me see what this Tidal’s all about. I’m not signing up for Tidal.” But I signed up when [Kanye West] dropped [The Life Of Pablo] album on Tidal… I don’t have Spotify… Tell Jay Z to holla at me.

On wedding plans with Iggy:

It’s coming along. It’s a little tough cause it’s a lot and it’s a lot of people that want to come. And it’s a lot of privacy you want to do with it. And she’s turned into this – what do you call it? Bridezilla or something like that?

See what the stars in attendance had to say about the film, the chemistry between Johnson and Hart, as well as their own surprisingly honest high school experiences in keeping with the old school anti-bullying vibe of the film, which opens national wide in theaters starting on Friday June 17, 2016:

Vic Mensa Discusses Orlando Shooting, Calls For Restrictions On Gun Purchases (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Roc Nation rapper Vic Mensa has been on a mission to use his voice to bring awareness to social issues.

After showing support for Assata Shakur, taking part in the #JusticeForFlint fundraiser, and encouraging young people to register to vote, Mensa recently spoke with CNN about the mass killing in Orlando.

“The news about the Orlando tragedy just made me start thinking about how important it is that we take action in this election,” said Mensa.

The June 12 massacre at the Pulse nightclub left 50 people dead and over 50 others wounded. Politicians such as President Barack Obama and concerned citizens have called on more gun safety legislation in order to possibly decrease the number of mass shootings like the one in Orlando.

Mensa is one of the people in favor of pursuing some new policies on gun control. The There’s Alot Going On EP creator has faced backlash from gun rights advocates for some of his opinions about the matter.

“I’m not saying we should go and we should take away people’s guns. I’m not saying we should appeal the 2nd Amendment,” explained Mensa. “What I’m saying is that we need to be able to have far more restrictions put on who can purchase guns.”

Nick Cannon Addresses “Divorce Papers” Mariah Diss Track

(AllHipHop News) Mariah Carey’s estranged husband Nick Cannon has addressed the drama surrounding the couple’s divorce in a new rap song.

The entertainer, who is currently the host of TV show America’s Got Talent, has taken aim at the tabloid chatter linked to his split from Mariah in new song “Divorce Papers,” explaining he wanted to express his irritation with the media.

“This was strictly a creative way for me to express my frustrations with the media, the naysayers, myself and ultimately with the voices in my head,” Nick told KarenCivil.com.

“One late night in my studio, after hearing the recent accusations against me and my character, I turned on my drum machine, found this amazing Willie Hutch sample, looped it, and went into the booth and let it all out. It felt great!”

Cannon, who has been accused of stalling divorce proceedings as his soon-to-be ex makes plans to wed her new fiance James Packer, added, “I’ve been sitting on the song for almost a week now because I was really torn on whether or not I should release it.

“The last thing I would ever want to do is add fuel to the fire, especially a fire that was fabricated by the press. But, ultimately I felt it was necessary to clear the air and set the record straight once and for all.”

Nick insists he and Mariah are “in a great place” and are “diligently moving things along so we both can continue to be happy”.

“I am happy for her and all her new endeavors, both personal ones and professional ones,” he stated. “I sincerely hope the media doesn’t once again try to manipulate my words or my purpose for releasing this song. As the world knows, I am an open book and I’m proud of that. When it comes to expressing myself, I take the fearless approach and that’s what I chose to do here.”

Meanwhile, Nick admitted he has been “reflecting” on his role as dad to Mariah’s twins as Father’s Day approaches on Sunday (19Jun16), and asks fans to “respect our process and remain patient and loving as me and my family aim for happiness”.

Cannon recently told news show Extra he was not stalling the divorce, adding, “Me and Mariah get along great, and it’s a process. Nobody is holding nothing up. Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy… She is such a beautiful spirit.”
