Silkk The Shocker On Slim Jesus: ‘At Least He’s Honest’ (VIDEO)

Rapper Slim Jesus’ claim to fame is that he is honest about lying in his raps. He spits trigger happy lyrics but has never done any of the things he detailed in his songs and has no problem admitting it. When AllHipHop’s Mr. Mecc asked Silkk the Shocker about the Ohio rapper, he praised him for at least being honest about his fraudulent raps.

“How many rappers are honest?” he asked. “He’s not a real gangsta but then you have rappers who pretend to be and then they are not but they never tell us they’re lying.”

Will Future’s ‘Monster 2’ Be The New “Heat”?

Photo via Future’s Instagram

Funk Flex must’ve got under Future’s skin by playing out of town music in the A first. Future told Flex,

“Funk master flex thanks for the extra motivation…u gone play intown music 1st over outtatown music”

Future says he is going to drop so much heat with his ‘Monster 2’ release that Flex and other DJs are going to have to play his music first. He also said that his comments weren’t disrespectful, and he is just letting people know what time it is! Do you think ‘Monster 2’ will be that heat that you’ve been waiting for? Was ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ even that great? #FutureHive

Did Waka Flocka Start The Drill Movement?

Photo via Waka Flocka’s Instagram

Waka Flocka has upset some Chiraq rappers by saying he started the drill movement. Fans clearly have been divided by region. Some fans felt that Atlanta music influenced Chiraq drill music, and some suggested that drill is something that was born out of the Chi. One rapper in particular that had a problem with Waka’s claims is Smylez (@IamSmylez). Smylez claims King Louie started drill music. Some called him out saying that he knows Waka started it. They also called him out for ironically hanging with a crew of Chicago men that call themselves Brick Squad. Another debate was did Waka “influence” drill rap or trap rap? What are your thoughts? Who do you feel started drill?

Three Questions With Phonic

Atlanta, Georgia is constantly producing new musical talent to add onto the list of notable acts that have risen from the Southern city. One of the latest young emcees to represent for the ATL’s eastside is Phonic.

The 21-year-old Decatur native is making waves in his hometown as a member of the All Black Congress collective. In 2012, the tight-knit family of emcees and producers began waving the ABC flag as Phonic, T. Mason, Shinobi X, and Quent Eastwood formed together outside of music. Since that time, the crew has released several efforts including Phonic’s Saturday Morning Blues mixtape.

Phonic is now on the verge of dropping the follow-up to his freshman project. Next March will see the arrival of 12 original songs in the form of Thoughts Of Whatever.

The new generation disciple of the Dungeon Family sound plans to use the collection to present his artistic and personal journey from the last two years. Listeners can expect Phonic’s Thoughts to present compelling storytelling, vivid imagery, and a Trap-free soundscape that he enjoys hearing “in the back of a Cadillac rolling through Five Points.”

AllHipHop.com connected with Phonic for the latest edition of the “Three Questions” series. Get to know the poetic rhymer in this exclusive interview.

When money’s not on your mind, what are you thinking about the most?

Anime, family, and fashion.

What are your Top 5 albums by an Atlanta rapper?

My Top 5 Atlanta albums would have to be ATLiens from OutKast, Back For The First Time from Ludacris, Cee-Lo Green And His Perfect Imperfections from Cee-Lo Green, Trap Muzik from T.I., and Dirty South Classics from Goodie Mob.

What separates Phonic from all the other ATL rappers on the come up?

The sound. I feel like Atlanta is having a very successful run in Hip Hop with influencing the Trap movement, with everybody wanting to be the next “dope boy moving weight.” That’s fine, but I’ve always felt like there needs to be something else. Hip Hop receives it from other states, but Atlanta hasn’t moved yet. I’m looking to move things, introduce the world to Phonic as well as All Black Congress.

Chief Keef Claims He Slept With DMX’s Baby Mama

Photo via Chief Keef’s Instagram

Chief Keef decided to share some interesting details on his song “Walnuts.” The rapper claims to have had sex with one of DMX’s baby mamas.

“I fu-ked DMX baby mama. Yadera, Shakira, or whatever that b-tch name is. She threw it back for me. I hit her, I sent that b-tch a plane ticket.”

Apparently the woman Keef is referring to is Yadira Barrego, a model that DMX dated (intermittently) for over 9 years. X also has two children with Barrego. “Walnuts” is set to appear on Keef’s forthcoming mixtape, Back From The Dead 3. Chief Keef’s claims may not be too far fetched as there have been rumors that Barrego was also linked to Soulja Boy, Fat Trell, and 2 Chainz.

Ja Rule Ranks His Top Three Hip Hop Beefs Of All Time (VIDEO/POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Battling has always been part of Hip Hop culture. There are very few top emcees that have never gone back-and-forth with another rapper on wax. With all the great lyrical feuds in rap history, which one rises to the top? Ja Rule – who had his own issues with 50 Cent – was asked to rank the greatest Hip Hop beefs of all time.

“Our Hip Hop beef has got to be top 3,” said Ja about his rivalry with 50. “You got Big and Pac. You got Jay and Nas. I would put me and 50 over Jay and Nas even.”

Ja stated he has moved past the conflict with 50. The star of MTV’s Follow The Rules argues the improvement in his life circumstances show he came out a winner in the end. While defending Meek against the idea he is constantly “taking Ls,” Ja Rule also added he wish he had not been brought into the MMG artists’ clash with Drake this summer.

50 Cent Reflects On Jam Master Jay, Eminem & ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin‍’

(AllHipHop News) It has been 12 years since 50 Cent burst onto the mainstream music scene with his debut studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin‍ ‘. From there, the Hip Hop mogul has expanded his brand to include music, fashion, film, television, and liquor.

Big Issue caught up with the G-Unit leader for the “Letter To My Younger Self” series. 50 used the opportunity to discuss two of his mentors – Jam Master Jay and Eminem. The “Wanksta” rhymer also reflected on Get Rich or Die Tryin‍ ‘ selling over 872,000 copies in its first week.

[ALSO READ: 50 Cent’s “Power” Sets New Starz Record, Renewed For Third Season]

On Jam Master Jay:

I started writing lyrics full time in 1997. I met Jam Master Jay from Run DMC and he had his label, which would take people on and develop them until they were ready to go to a major. Jay taught me how to count bars – and when the chorus should start and stop. And I kept practising. Sometimes hard work beats talent. I wrote all the time, and so I got better and better.

I think Jay liked me ‘cause I looked like the lyrics. I had all the jewelry, I looked like a hustler. I’d been on the street so long, people respected me. The honest truth is, at that point, the drug dealers were the leaders of the neighborhood. They had more money than the rappers. The things LL Cool J and Run DMC wanted were the things guys hustling already had. Now, of course, the artists are way richer than the dealers, the hip hop culture has grown so much.

On Eminem:

Eminem had this competitive energy that made him the guy all the other rappers worried about. From early days, he was this great battle artist. The guys who were up against him would think of everything you could say about him, then he’d say those things about himself first. So everything they had against him, he took it away. He was writing all this personal stuff. I was never anything like that. I came into music with songwriting intentions ‘cause that’s where the money was.

On releasing get Rich Or Die Tryin’:

If I could go back to any time, I’d go back to when the sales figure for the first week of Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ came out. I went to sit at the back of the tour bus and just thought, wow. I couldn’t believe it. When I got those sales I knew that from now on I didn’t have to wait for someone else to say it was okay, I could say it was okay myself. But I also knew that feeling, that confirmation, that finally you have the momentum – you only feel it once. I knew I would never have that feeling again. ‘Cause everything was about to change.

Did Rick Ross Call Off His Engagement To Lira Galore Over Wiz Khalifa?

Photo via Lira’s Instagram

Rumor has it that Rick Ross called off his engagement to his fiancee Lira Galore. To make matters worse, Rozay apparently deleted all pics of Lira off his Instagram except one. There has also been a rumor that Lira slept with Wiz Khalifa. Lira jumped online to say that she has never met Wiz, and that Amber Rose is one of her best friends. She explained that she has never met Wiz because she met Amber after the split. She had time to address whether she allegedly slept with Wiz or not, but she hasn’t addressed if she’s single or not. She did say Ross had her heart though, so we shall see.

Tax Stone Discusses Lashing Out At Joe Budden During Podcast (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Tax Stone has one of the top urban podcasts on the internet, but it was his Tax Season episode featuring Joe Budden that garnered the New York resident significant coverage in the blogosphere. Budden got Tax heated after the 50 minute discussion continued to go downhill from a clear lack of chemistry over the questions and answers.

[ALSO READ: Here Are 10 Hip Hop Related Podcasts You Need To Follow]

Tax spoke with ForbezDVD Co-CEO M. Reck about his awkward interview with the Slaughterhouse member. A trailer of the conversation included Tax stating, “F*ck all of Joe Budden’s fans.” The full video has now been released.

“He’s lucky the interview went that long. I could have been dead it,” said Tax. “People look at it like, ‘He flipped out of nowhere.’ That was not out of nowhere. That was a build up of sh*t. I continuously told the dude to stop talking to me like I’m one of your bartenders, like I’m one of your b*tches from a Third World country.”

Despite believing Budden was purposely being disrespectful by trying to insult his intelligence, Tax felt he actually held his composure. Stone went on to add there is no beef between the two podcast hosts, and he is open to having a further conversation.

Even if Tax and Joe do not meet face-to-face in public again, Tax Season and The Joe Budden Podcast will still be competing in the digital space since both shows drop on Wednesdays.

Rich Dolarz Displays How He Would Have Dissed Drake With “If I Was Meek” Freestyle (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) A lot of music fans were disappointed with Meek Mill’s audio response to Drake’s diss tracks “Charged Up” and “Back To Back.” Could the Philadelphia rapper have hit Champagne Papi with harder bars? Battle rapper Rich Dolarz has taken it upon himself to provide his take on how he would have went at Drake.

[ALSO READ: Meek Mill Releases Drake Diss Track “Wanna Know” (AUDIO)]

Dolarz dropped a video titled “If I Was Meek” on the URL YouTube channel. The song plays out as if the NYC spitter was speaking to Meek over the phone. As he rhymes over The Notorious B.I.G.’s classic track for “Warning,” Dolarz responds to Drake’s “world tour/girl tour” lines, takes shots at the OVO brand, and touches on the Quentin Miller ghostwriting controversy.

Rich Dolarz raps:

If I was you I would’ve said:  You want my girl dog, but a sucker is the only thing my girl saw. That’s a world tour? Yeah, that’s my girl’s tour. She help me eat n*gga. That’s what a girl’s for.

He adds:

October’s Very Own, send a hollow clean through him. Make every day feel like Halloween to him. A ghostwriter is what made y’all last. I exposed that. That’s what made y’all mad.

“I got into with Michael Jordan before,” said Master P. “My son was playing at his camp. He said, ‘You can’t wear them P Miller shoes. You have to put on Jordans.’”

He continued, “Rome hit me up. So I flew down there to the game. The next day at the game, I’m like, ‘He ain’t about to take no shoes off.’ We got into some trash talk.”

According to P, Jordan told him he’s not a baller. The “Make Em Say Uhh!” rhymer replied by telling MJ he’s a baller and a rapper.

Master P made it clear the situation did not involve any yelling or violence. The result was a pick-up game between the two stars which included several NBA players joining in. The winner got to decide which shoes Romeo would be able to wear.

“It was like a real street game. At the end, we won. You know me. I turned up all the way,” added Master P. “We’ve been homeboys ever since.”

(AllHipHop News) At one point, there was a lot of talk that Def Jam recording artists Jay Z, Ja Rule, and DMX would join forces as a supergroup known as Murder Inc. The three New Yorkers even appeared on the cover of XXL under the name, but a full album from the trio never happened.

“I’m like, ‘Jay, you’re on top of the game right now. I’m ready to come for that spot. You’re not going to let me get that spot.’ So, I can’t be under you if I’m trying to be above you,” said Ja. “Dame [Dash] looked at me and said, ‘You think you can sell more records than Jay?… He said, ‘You think you can be as big or as hot as Jay?’ I’m like, ‘Of course.'”

Lil Wayne’s Miami Home Raided, Police Take Property

In September, Lil Wayne lost a major lawsuit to a private jet company and the police came to collect at his Miami mansion on Tuesday.

The court ruled in favor of Signature Group, a private jet leasing company, to the tun of $2 million and $200k in lawyer and court fees.

The police showed up at the rapper’s home and began talking his property to “pay” for the debt.

The rapper’s security initially stopped police from entering but were overruled by a valid search warrant, reports TMZ.  Cops entered the home with a “break order” when they were able to produce evidence that Wayne had assets in the $11 million house.

Wayne put the home on the market earlier this year.

Drug Dealer Case Unearths 1999 Wu-Tang Murder Accusations

The FBI investigated The Wu-Tang Clan for two murders in 1999, according to newly released court documents.

The files have emerged as part of the trial of a pair of drug kingpin, in a report by SILive.com.

Anthony and Harvey Christian were found guilty last October in a decades-old drug right in Staten Island and the murder of 17-year-old Jerome “Boo Boo” Estella.

The counsel for the Christian brothers maintains that Estella was really killed after his death was ordered by members of the Wu-Tang Clan. Estella allegedly robbed family members of Raekwon and RZA. Michael Gold, Anthony Christian’s lawyer, says an FBI report already said that Estella was killed “at the instruction of members of the Wu-Tang Clan, a rap group, as revenge for robberies.” Another man named Corey “Shank Bank” Brooker was also killed as well. He clarified that he didn’t necessarily feel Wu-Tang did any crimes – the FBI asserted this notion, he told silive.com.

“These reports seem to suggest someone else was liable for those murders,” Gold stated. “I’m not suggesting that Wu-Tang committed these crimes. The FBI did. What I’m trying to ascertain is their stated belief in an official file that Wu-Tang ordered this homicide.”

Gold wants the files turned over, suggesting they may clear his client in the murder.

The news is not completely new. Ol’ Dirty Bastard has a lengthy FBI file that was released in 2012. Here is part of the detailed report from silive.com.

In a filing last month, federal prosecutors described what they had sent Gold through the trial’s discovery process, based on interviews from 1999 with Brian Humphreys, a Bloods member who later turned federal informant.

Humphreys was the trigger-man in Estella’s killing, and testified against the Christian brothers.

“A couple of weeks before the Boo Boo shooting, Uncles (the street name of drug supplier-turned-informant Paul Ford) told Humphreys about a Blood named Boo Boo who just came home from jail. He stated that Boo Boo had robbed RZA’s little brother and had also gotten into something with the Christian brothers,” the filing reads.

RZA, or Robert Fitzergald Diggs, is one of Wu-Tang’s founding members.

“Uncles was talking about Boo Boo and said that he had just come home and robbed RZA’s brother and that they would likely come after him for that. Humphreys believes Uncles was referring to members of Wu Tang,” the prosecutors’ filings read.

The documents also refer to conversations between Ford, Humphreys and Anthony Christian about Brooker, who was shot to death on June 22, 1999.

In those conversations, Ford said that Brooker robbed both RZA’s brother and the cousin of another Wu-Tang member, Raekwon (real name Corey Woods), leading to RZA issuing a $30,000 contract to kill Brooker.

“Ford stated that he had previously heard that Shank Bank was killed by Phife (ph). Ford believes that Phife collected money from RZA for executing the hit,” the filings read. It’s not clear who “Phife” refers to.

Prosecutors maintain that the Christians brothers were responsible for bother murders. The prosecutors say Estella was slain so he wouldn’t tell Brooker, a rival drug dealer, about the plot to murder him.

Representatives for Wu had not responded to request for comment at press time. See the whole court filing below.
