There are a few things you’re going to experience as a Bronx native. Groups of gangs on ever corner, religious street preachers from all walks of life and crews of kids in the middle trying to figure out which way to go. Thankfully, there’s something else native to the boogie down that provides the perfect place for all of the above. It’s called Hip-Hop, a spot where Twenty-two year-old Derek Ward, also known as Dot Demo is feeling right at home.
With musical influences that include such luminaries as Erykah Badu, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Nas, Boot Camp Clik, Camp Lo and Big Pun, Dot has certainly set the bar high for himself. But if the new single & video Black Gesus is any indicator of whats to come, Dot may find himself counted amongst the greats in no time.

Love & Hip Hop’s Nia Riley has stirred up all kinds of trouble, and her comments have even brought T.I. and Tiny into the drama. Nia Riley has been involved in some sort of beef with Natassia Smith. Nia Riley, the on and off girlfriend of Soulja Boy, and daughter of Teddy Riley, decided to expose all of Nattassia’s alleged sexual escapades. In the process Nia called out Natassia for allegedly sleeping with T.I. and Tiny. There have been rumors swirling forever that T.I. and Tiny like to engage in threesomes. Tiny quickly responded telling Nia she had no business throwing her and TIP in the mix of her messy relationship. This is messy.
The time to take Hip-Hop back is past due, but, if there has ever been a question, you will find the answer here. The battle is chockfull of racist, homophobic rhetoric, as there are Black & Brown people in the crowd.
If your third eye is closed, you may not see or hear it, but if you have any common racial sense, this is some backwoods KKK sh*t that has Black & Brown chillin’ in the audience.

Over a decade was invested into their art before the Miami-based group, ¡MAYDAY!, signed to Tech N9ne’s imprint, Strange Music. With albums like Take Me to Your Leader, Believers, and ¡MURSDAY! their artistic output continues to grow. When they have penned songs like “Fragile,” which eventually inspired both Tech N9ne and Kendrick Lamar to add verses, it’s easy to see why music appreciates their continued contribution. As their creative perspective evolves so does their physical form. This physical reduction from a six-man collective has challenged many of the band’s day-one supporters to ask, is ¡MAYDAY! still ¡MAYDAY!?
As some of its members have stepped away from the public’s eye it’s only natural that questions will follow. During the Brooklyn leg of ¡MAYDAY!’s cross-country, Future Vintage tour, AllHipHop was granted an exclusive interview. While promoting their pending album of the same name, which drops on September 18, they addressed the current status of its group members. Here they jokingly assure their fans that “¡MAYDAY! is like the mob; you’ll never get out!”

Many celebs aren’t fond of TMZ and Chris Brown is one of them. He has been quite vocal about his beef with the pap site and after their latest story about Breezy, he decided to take aim at the site’s founder, Harvey Levin, via his Instagram.
TMZ reported that Brown recently breached a contract when he did not show up to a performance at a Black Gay Pride event in Atlanta, GA on Sept. 7th. The “Autumn Leaves” singer claims that the story is not true and that he was never booked for the event. He also had words for Levin, saying that because he is a homosexual, he should “be finding outlets for young gay men/teens and women to be more open and comfortable about coming out.”
“It would really be a blessing if u focused on real issues,” he said. “But all these false stories to bring your site traffic is corny. But find another person to drag through the mud of lies.”

The Department of Justice has seized Sharebeast.com and its sister site albumjams.com, according to a news release. The Sharebeast sites has been deemed the largest illegal music file-sharing sites in the United States. The domain notice seen below appears on the homepages of the sites within the Sharebeast network.
Sharebeast is said to be responsible for the leaks of thousands of albums before they were released in stores. More than 100,000 infringed songs were reported to be taken down.
RIAA Chairman and CEO Cary Sherman says “this is a huge win for the music community and legitimate music services.”
“Sharebeast operated with flagrant disregard for the rights of artists and labels while undermining the legal marketplace.Millions of users accessed songs from Sharebeast each month without one penny of compensation going to countless artists, songwriters, labels and others who created the music. We are grateful to the FBI and the Department of Justice for its strong stand against Sharebeast and for recognizing that these types of illicit sites wreak major damage on the music community and hinder fans’ legitimate listening options.”
