‘DJ Hustle’ Sprinting to the Top of the Class with ‘Hustle TV’

*As any successful executive in entertainment will tell you, “when you have the streets connected and endorsing your product, your chances for success increase immeasurably.”
That is exactly what is happening with the “new man on the streets” simply known as “DJ Hustle .”
Born and raised in Watts, California … DJ Hustle and his new “HustleTV” have quietly become one of the hottest platforms for entertainers and sports figures to get their real, uncut
interviews aired to the youthful viewers and to Hip Hop audiences worldwide.

Starting off as a DJ performing at major venues across the country, DJ Hustle decided to branch out and formed “Hustle TV” in 2008 with the show being aired via the Time Warner Cable system.
Within a one year time period, “Hustle TV” had caught on with the Hip Hop audience nationwide, while DJ Hustle’s rapport with the various Rap music stars and sports figures enabled him to secure the “street level, uncut interviews” the artist themselves preferred and that the viewers so desperately wanted to see.
As DJ Hustle’s grind in the streets took his platform to new heights, the success of Hustle TV motivated him to reach even further and he started to lay the foundation for building a “street edged” one hour cable TV show for Hustle TV that would focus on “controversial street figures and business people.”

Drake’s Performance At ‘Lil Weezyana Fest’ Blocked From Streaming On Tidal Due To Apple Interference

(AllHipHop News) The streaming wars just got very messy. Tidal exclusively streamed Lil Wayne’s “Lil Weezyana Fest” in New Orleans last night (August 28), and Tunechi brought out several guests including Juvenile, Turk, Mannie Fresh, and Master P. But when Wayne was ready to bring his Young Money artist Drake to the stage, the live stream cut off.

Tidal-Apple

Reports began circulating earlier in the evening that Apple threatened to sue Tidal for $20 million if the platform streamed Drake performing. The Toronto native sign a reported $19 million exclusive deal with Apple. This fight comes after Tidal financier Jay Z suggested Apple was running a smear campaign against his company back in April.

Lil Wayne is a part owner of Tidal along with other artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Kanye West, Madonna, Alicia Keys, and Usher. Proceeds from Wayne’s “Lil Weezyana Fest” were to benefit kids affected by Hurricane Katrina.

“This event is for charity, Drake is doing two songs,” a source told Page Six. “Why does Apple think it can dictate to artists where and when they can perform?”

Scarface Talks Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton & Why Donald Trump Is A Genius (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop fans know Scarface is not one to hold his tongue. The rap legend sat down with The Unlikely Show with Chuck Creekmur and Nida Khan, and the conversation covered the current state of American politics.

As the 2016 presidential campaign heats up, Face had a lot to say about leading candidates Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. He also mentioned the current man in the White House – President Barack Obama.

“I said that I wouldn’t vote for Obama, because I love him, and they’re gonna want him hanged after that,” said Scarface referring to lyrics from his Emeritus album. “I said that sh*t way before he was the president.”

Clinton is currently the favorite to replace Obama as the next presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. The former Secretary of State has been facing criticism for using a personal email server. But she has consistently claimed none of the messages were marked classified.

“Hillary’s getting f*cked with behind emails,” stated Scarface. “Who gives a f*ck about an email? Was it kiddie p### or some sh*t? Do we have a f*cking problem?”

When it came to controversial Republican front-runner Donald Trump, Face offered an explanation for why the businessman/reality TV star is connecting with certain voters.

“I think Donald Trump is a genius. I think he’s a gazillionaire for a reason,” said the Houston native. “I think he may say some sh*t that’s offensive. I think he is unapologetic, because he’s f*cking rich.”

Scarface added, “I’m not advocating a motherf*cking thing about Donald Trump. But I see his vision, and I know what his aim is. Does that sh*t help us in our position where we are today? No, because we don’t have the money to invest in the sh*t he’s getting ready to put together.”

Scarface’s Deeply Rooted album is scheduled for release on September 4.

Enter the Chicago-Born and Raised House of Cry, a gifted artist who wrote, produced, and played just everything you hear on her stellar debut project, Sincerely, Cry.

The seven-track EP arrives with the backing of Salaam Remi, renown for his work with The Fugees, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Nas, and Miguel, among others. Given his knack for working with such special acts, you’d be right to expect greatness from House of Cry—and that’s exactly what you get here. Monica Hosts ‘Code RED’ Listening Session In Atlanta

From Miss Thang to Code RED, Monica has delivered exceptional R&B and demonstrated her vocal prowess since the young age of 12. The powerhouse vocalist hosted a private listening session for her eighth studio album Code RED last night at the legendary Patchwerk Studios in Atlanta, G.A. Media, DJs, artists, and tastemakers all had the opportunity to get a preview of the album before its release on September 18, 2015.

monica polow da don

Jeezy, who Monica refers to as her industry brother, also came out to show his support. Super producer Polow Da Don, who was one of the producers on the album, shared a lot of the behind the scene aspects behind the production of the tracks and Monica’s beautiful back story. Monica expressed that she named her album Code RED because she feels with R&B there is a state of emergency. She says with being only one person and one artist, she can’t change that by herself, however all of us together can make huge strides towards keeping the genre alive. She also explained that much of the album chronicles her experiences with love over the years and from her perspective as a happily married woman today. On one track, Monica sings about missing real music, and she lists several notable artists in the lyrics in hopes to expose this generation to real music and engage them enough to want to research the incredible artists from previous eras.

The chic red cut that Monica has been rocking is symbolic of the space she is in musically. It symbolizes her getting back to the bold, courageous, and fearless part of making music. Mo’ continues to tell her truths and life experiences through her new album.
