Is Kodak Black Upset With Soulja Boy For Denying His Feature Request?

Photo’s via Soulja Boy and Kodak Black’s Instagram

Allegedly Kodak Black is upset with Soulja Boy for turning down a feature request. Kodak Black and crew have been threatening Soulja Boy, but SB doesn’t seem too phased, as he says this isn’t his first beef. Soulja Boy says Kodak Black is mad because Soulja Boy didn’t show up to the studio because he was busy. Soulja Boy wants to know how is it that Kodak was asking him to come to the studio one day and the next day dissing him. Soulja said he would never want to do a song with him anyway!

Some of Kodak Black’s goons also made a video banning Soulja Boy from Broward county and threatening his life.

“I’ll get in that Benz and come to ATL & come kill yo f*ck ass.”

Another video emerged showing some of Kodak’s “goons” making a ritualistic video and threatening Soulja Boy also.

Oh my!

A Ghostface Killah / Action Bronson Video Game?

One thought this beef was over, but it seems like somebody is creating a primitive video game based on the beef.

Action Bronson vs Ghostface Killah?

We don’t know about the actualities on this one, but it seems that it has been “coming soon” since August 2015.

Not likely to come to fruition, but it sure looks like run to be running from Ghostface.

Rick Ross Speaks On Taking Shots At Drake, Not Respecting Birdman

Sooooo as the page turns we get a new verse from Rick Ross on the track “Color Of Money” and he seems to address Drake and Rick Ross.  Now after just releasing the song yesterday Ross joined The Breakfast Club to explain his thoughts on the song. Heres a few quotes about what Ross had to say.

On “Color Of Money Track”

“I mean you know, ah I just released ‘Color Of Money’ and that record is what it is, you dig. It’s a lot of different people thats going to interpret a lot of different ways and it is what it is.”

“I mean everyone who know Rozay know how I get down. When I come, I come, so I just say, lets see how it unfolds. You most definitely know how I come and what I do, I don’t play no games.”

On Weezy:
“Weezy my homie, I was just with Weezy the other night in the club. He was just on a remix with me with J Prince, thats my big homie. Anything else take it however you want it.”

On Birdman:

“I don’t have one [a relationship] with Birdman. If you read the Source Magazine you would see that. Really me just seeing what Wayne is going through as an artist, him being a boss. Me idolizing Birdman at a time, me looking up to Lil Wayne, Wayne being the first artist to make so may feats, not just as an artist but as a artist coming rom the South, that’s something I took personal. So for me to see the way that things are transpiring, I can’t respect that and I don’t respect that.”

Pusha T: I Feel Like I’m The Last Rap Superhero, Everybody Else Seems To Be Victimized

(AllHipHop News) Pusha T is pushing his way back into the limelight with the recent announcements about his new role as president of G.O.O.D. Music and his upcoming musical projects. One of those efforts is Darkest Before Dawn: The Prequel dropping on December 18. Pusha spoke with Rolling Stone about the forthcoming album.

[ALSO READ: Pusha T Named The New President Of G.O.O.D. Music]

Pusha said:

I feel like my lyrics are just dark and scathing. I feel like the lyrics on Darkest Before Dawn are uncompromised hip-hop and really speaking to my core fan base. Basically what’s been known in my discography the entire time. I feel like I’m the last rap superhero. I really do. I feel like everybody else, they seem to be a bit victimized and I don’t feel like that’s me.

The Clipse member further elaborated:

When I was coming up, rappers were my heroes. I looked at them and I thought they were dope. I thought they were great artists; they were great fashion icons; they were everything all in one. Now I look at rappers today, and I look at who the kids look to, and all you see is guys who don’t have any real particular base or guys who are just crying in the media about shortcomings and so on and so forth, and it’s a bit too much for me. Like, this is not what I know rappers to be like. Everyone I know when I was coming up were like rap superheroes to me and you wanted to be like them. There’s not too many rappers you want to be like these days. It’s bad business, it’s physical altercations and it’s all too much for me.

Besides Darkest Before Dawn and the follow-up King Push album, Pusha is also looking to release Kanye West’s SWISH and another Cruel Summer label compilation under G.O.O.D. Music. The “Untouchable” rhymer calls Ye’s next LP “phenomenal,” and he says a Cruel Summer sequel is definitely going to happen.

R&B Beef! Tyrese Vs. Tank?

Photo via Tyrese’s Instagram

Uh oh! R&B Beef! Fellow solo R&B singers and TGT group mates Tank and Tyrese seemed to have had a little falling out.

Tyrese challenged R&B singers to make a pure R&B album with no Hip Hop features. Tank commented saying this challenge was shade because he felt Tyrese was acting like he’s the only person out here doing authentic R&B. Tank also expressed that Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton and many more were also making R&B albums. He called out Tyrese as he said that it really wasn’t a challenge, and that he was just indirectly flaunting the success of his album ‘Black Rose’. There was also a video that shows Tank telling R. Kelly that he is still the King of the genre the same night Tyrese won the Centric Certifed Award. This exchange could’ve been unrelated, but fans definitely tried to make it out to be drama.

Tank ended up apologizing to Tyrese and the fans for having to witness their exchange on social media. Tank said that any problem he has with another man can be handled offline. Word on the street is, although the two have talked, everything hasn’t completely gone back to normal yet. Hopefully they are all good now.

Rappers & Chicago Community Demand Mayor’s Resignation

Rapper Rodrigo Starz of rap group Rebel Diaz has penned a new song called “#Crook,” which demands for the resignation of Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel.

In the song, Starz outlines the issues the community has had with Emanuel, particularly around the police force. Chicago’s police force has the highest death rate in America for any police force. Furthermore, Chicago police attempted to cover up the murder of LaQuan McDonald, who was shot 16 times.

Civil leaders have also said that Emanuel has threatened them behind closed doors while presenting a very different face to th media.

Even the New York times has penned an op-ed piece calling for his resignation. Emanuel has refused to step down.

Here is Rodrigo Starz’s “#Crook” and the lyrics as well, which are rich with statistics.

#RESIGNRAHM
#JUSTICEFORJAQUAN

lyrics

for Education
For Reparations
justice for Laquan
rodStarz north side
South side worldwide

A crook mayor with an attitude named Rahm
Who needs to resign now so I’m bout to drop this bomb
It don’t take 400 days to see these murderous ways
That’s what it takes to cover up what really happened that day
We only saw the video cuz somebody took it to court
Cuz somebody realized that yall killin us For sport
So let’s go back to October- 2014 ..
Where Officer Van D### shot a young black teen
Laquan way too young he was only 17
He was walkin away but he caught 16
a clear cover up.. Where’s the audio and the sound?
Where’s the footage from the BK that’s no longer around ?
a Month after Ferguson – the whole nation heated
If this video came out Rahm you would’ve been defeated !!
So im saying that you’re GUILTY of covering up a murder
You might as well have helped him out helped him hide the burner
I know that you was lying when you said you hadnt seen it
The other day you said it was graphic -so which one eeease it?
You’re a liar!! And you can quote me on this text
You seen that video ! that’s why the city wrote that check
u closin up the clinics closin up the schools
Then U try to blame us when these kids actin a fool
That’s 5.2 millions of reasons for you to hold me back
I’m from the wrong side of the tracks
Where the people fight back!

I see the crook in you every time ya speak ya mind
The crook in you – lookin me in my eyes Lyin
I see the crook in you you committed a crime
The crook in you Rahm its time to resign!

I see the crook in you every time you speak ya mind
The crook in you lookin me in my eyes Lyin
I see the crook in you you committed a crime
The crook in you Rahm its time to resign

I’m the ump of this movement Rahm I’m callin out
You just mad cuz your brother Ari got more clout
You worth 11 mil. he worth 34.
So we know that neither of yall don’t care about conditions of the poor
hunger strikers almost dyin but you dont care about Dyett
You ain’t even seem to care when the teachers went on strike
So cmon is this a man that you can really trust?
Whose father bombed Palestinians coming home on a bus?
Papa was a Zionist- son is a Lying b####
The Cops are the biggest Gang not the Bloods and Crips
And every member on the council that said no to the release
Is the reason that we out here protestin in the streets
Anita Alvarez she should be charged as an accomplice
Cuz when black people go to jail who you think gonna profit ?
We need to talk facts
Cuz 75% of the people shot by police in Chicago are Black
300 shootings in a year These Cops are kinda evil
Rahm Emanuel doesn’t care about brown or black people
That’s some real nazi white supremacy way of living
He took 11 shots took a pause then 5 more to really kill him
Are you serious?
Call Garry McCarthy Tell him that hes Fired!
If not We burnin tires! If not we startin Fires
I AM Rekia Boyd!
The State Of Racism in Chicago Illinois…

I see the crook in you every time ya speak ya mind
The crook in you – lookin me in my eyes Lyin
I see the crook in you you committed a crime
The crook in you Rahm its time to resign!

Rick Ross Enters New Humorous Beef

Forget 50 Cent and Drake, Norm Kelly has beef with Rick Ross now that the Miami boss has issues with Drake.

Toronto Councillor went at Meek Mill as he was embroiled in beef with hometown favorite Drake and now he’s coming at Rozay.

On Twitter, he said – seemingly in a rap form, “The fakest boss that you seen thus far/ End the rap career & just stick to Wing Stop /Another break from views will give yo camp a big loss.”

Rozay has yet to respond to the politician.

The whole hilarious ordeal started when Ross released “Color Money,” which responded to Drake’s “Back To Back.” At that time, Kelly said that Meek was no longer welcome in Toronto.

#ATLRiseUp: Key! Is Atlanta’s Indie Rap King Making An Impact On A Major Level

Atlanta has been giving the Hip Hop game hell for 20 years. The Southern city’s current command of rap music is headed by numerous familiar names found all over the radio dial. However, the shift in A-town’s rap culture could also be attributed to one rhymer that may not be getting overwhelming love on the national level just yet.

The rapper/producer who goes by the moniker Key! has served as a leading figure in Atlanta’s underground scene for several years. So much so, the Eastside representative believes more high-profile artists have mirrored his style.

[ALSO READ:  #ATLRiseUp: Nick Grant Is A Student Of The Game That’s Earning His Way To The Head Of The Class]

“I’ve been out too long. I guess everybody’s like, ‘He ain’t gonna pop, so his swags for free,’” Key tells AllHipHop.com. “I hear it from a majority of the music from young, up-and-coming artists. These artists that just became major who were underground artists last year.”

The indictment of theft is not hard to believe. An 18-year-old Key first began making considerable noise around town back in 2009 when he co-founded the Hip Hop collective known as Two-9 along with Curtis Williams.

Key eventually broke off from Two-9 to pursue a solo career. The group went on to sign with Mike Will Made It’s EarDrummers Entertainment, but the camaraderie among the original members still holds until this day.

“We made it up, so no matter what the situation may be in the music industry, those are still my brothers,” says Key about his lyrical kin.

The Key/Two-9 alliance was recently renewed on the tracks “Lord Help” and “Over” off the October29 EP. The latter song was heavily influenced by the famous New Orleans foursome of the Hot Boyz (Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G. & Turk).

Cash Money Record’s late 1990’s breakout stars played a major role in providing the prototype for a generation of rappers raised below the Mason–Dixon line. The hook for “Over” even pays homage to Wayne’s debut solo single “Tha Block Is Hot.”

“That’s what we listened to growing up. That’s all we had. That’s what we loved. It’s just that’s literally all we had,” recalls Key. “In Atlanta, the Hot Boys were like Gods. When we were super-young, Lil Wayne was the one we could relate to.”

Some of Key’s earliest memories are of his youth growing up on Memorial Drive. The DeKalb County locale would only serve as a temporary home as he and his family relocated throughout the metropolitan area. The constant moving did provide a unique perspective for the future performer.

“I got to see a lot of stuff that a lot of people where I’m from don’t get to see. A lot of people from Memorial Drive don’t go off of Memorial Drive,” says Key.

His start in making music began around the age of 15. Key (a pre-rap nickname given to him by his grandmother) had dropped out of school, so he used his free time to craft beats. Once he got bored with that task, the teenager started focusing more on putting words together.

It took nearly a decade before Key found himself on a single that expanded across the internet and beyond. That moment happened last fall when the OG Maco (now Maco Mattox) collab “U Guessed It” exploded.

The Brandon Thomas-produced turn-up anthem went on to collect over 12 million SoundCloud plays. While his appearance on “U Guessed It” shined a light on his growing movement, Key is not a fan of the Give Em Hell cut.

“It was corny. I don’t even listen to that song like that. I like my verse. [laughs] When we dropped it, it was just a party hit. That’s the only time I would listen to that song – at a party or when we performed it,” states Key.

Maco actually is not that fond of being solely connected to the song either. The 2015 XXL Freshman relayed to AHH in August, “I was never going to be the ‘U Guessed It’ rapper.  My music before ‘U Guessed It’ was expansive and lyrical. My music after ‘U Guessed It’ was expansive, but it’s like they don’t want to see that. People just don’t want to accept more than what got you to a certain place.”

Even though their initial hit has apparently worn thin for both of them, Key and Maco maintain a musical association. The duo recently reconnected for a day in Los Angeles where they recorded some more songs together. The session generated the new collaboration “Street Fighter” which is expected to appear on Key’s upcoming album Screaming Dreams.

“Street Fighter” is one of over 400 tracks Key recorded for his debut studio album. His time in LA has comprised of making 4 to 5 songs a day. Key’s team is now assisting him in reducing the number of songs down to fit on an LP, but the recording process is complete.

“Imagine having 400 songs, and you have to pick 12,” says Key. “This is my first album. We want to make it to where I do numbers independently, before I even talk to the majors.”

Presently, Key is building his brand as an indie artist. He is interested in possibly entering into a partnership with a major label, but nearly every component of the Key enterprise is controlled by the artist at the moment. The entertainer sets up his own bookings and runs his own business email account. Anything posted on his social media pages were uploaded directly by Key.

While Key’s ascension took place during the Digital Age, his approach to using Twitter and Instagram is not the same as many of his celebrity peers. A combined 44,000 users follow him on the two sites, but Key follows exactly zero people. So what is with the lack of follow backs?

“I just keep up with what’s going on with me. That’s all I should be focused on right now,” explains Key. “I feel like everybody in Hip Hop is focused on the wrong thing. It’s really gay that they focus on each other so much. They act like they’re on Twitter for b*tches, but they’re on Twitter just to watch each other.”

A lot of eyes are starting to watch Key’s career, and a lot of ears are getting introduced to his projects such as Mothers Are The Blame, Fathers Are The Curse, Screaming Dreams Prelude, and Give Him Hell 2 with ManMan Savage. Besides his Screaming Dreams LP arriving in the near future, another mixtape titled Martin Luther Key is set to drop on December 25.

The newest gift for his fans arrives in time for Christmas, but Key is still very conscious about how other rappers seem to prefer to take more than they give. In his view, the rest of the country uses the Atlanta Hip Hop environment as an open lot where they go to lift sounds, fashion, and lingo.

“I don’t feel like they’re just taking my swag. I feel like they’re taking all of Atlanta’s swag,” expresses Key. “There’s so many n*ggas that sound like Future. There’s so many n*ggas that sound like Bankroll Fresh. It’s n*ggas that sound like Curtis Williams. When we were younger, we used to say Curtis sounds like Wiz [Khalifa], but now it’s to the point where Wiz sounds like Curtis.”

From forging the Two-9 crew to freeing a tape inspired by his hometown’s most iconic civil rights leader, Key holds down the ATL to the fullest. And the rising rhymer feels he is just at the cusp of his full potential. The ultimate end game is to have his jersey hanging from the rafters.

“The G.O.A.T. The greatest of all time,” says Key! about how he sees himself. “There’s so much in store. I can’t even explain. Every season that comes about is going to bring more momentum to the situation.”

Rich Homie Quan Sends A Shot To Young Thug

Apparently a fan upset Rich Homie Quan so much that he ended up dissing Young Thug.

In a concert, Rich Homie seems willing to let a female touch his genitals, but when a male fan steps up, the whole scene went in a different direction.

“I don’t f**k with no f**kin’ f*gs…looking’ like Young Thug…get the f**k away from me,” Rich Homie said. “Get your a** the f**k back, bruh. I don’t like sissies, n***a!”

Rich Homie extolled his disdain for sexual relations with men as well as his former comrade Young Thug.

Pimp C’s Son Denounces The New Posthumous Album Effort

pimp c chad butler jrPimp C has a new album – Long Live The Pimp – coming out this Friday, which has gotten rave reviews, but Pimp C’s eldest son is not pleased.

Chad Butler Jr., the namesake of the late rapper issued a statement saying that he and brother Corey Butler are not participants in the album at all. That means financially or creatively.

“I want Pimp C fans to know that his family – myself and my younger brother Corey Butler – had no part in the creation of this ‘new’ Pimp C album and don’t receive any of the benefits from album sales. The only person who benefits is his wife Chinara (Butler), who doesn’t return phone calls or communicate with us at all, and possibly our sister Christian, but even that is debatable. My father was always supportive of myself and my brother, and I know he wouldn’t want us to be forgotten as a part of his legacy.” – Chad Butler Jr.

Before the Thanksgiving break, Chinara had debuted the album to the media, with the majority of the feedback being praise for Long Live The Pimp.

In previous statements, Chinara has maintained she spearheaded the project.

In a statement, she said, “This album is the culmination of years of work from not just me, but also the amazing artists and producers who contributed to make it happen. It combines several of the ideas and projects my husband began before his untimely passing. We hope the Trill fans enjoy it.”
