Karrine “Superhead” Steffans always has an opinion. She recently went in on the love of her life, Lil’ Wayne’s, sex tape. She called the sex tape dry, short, and sad. Steffans also said she didn’t learn anything, and the tape actually brought back flashbacks of her texting, looking at the ceiling, and being in missionary for 8 years. Dang Tunechi!. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she tweets her lust for Drake. We don’t understand why her and Kat Stacks won’t disappear for good!
(AllHipHop News) Tip (fka T.I.) recently stopped by DJ Whoo Kid’s The Whoolywood Shuffle radio show. During the interview, the Atlanta-based rapper spoke about a couple of his rap protégés.
According to the creator of the Da’ Nic EP, Hustle Gang affiliates Travis Scott and Iggy Azalea have more in common than the public may know. Tip explained to Whoo Kid that Scott does not take any advice or instruction from his mentor.
“He is anti-establishment and anti-authority to the point where if I suggest something, that’s how I know he ain’t gonna do it,” said Tip.
He added, “He’s gonna be mad as hell for me saying this, but that man is Iggy in a black man’s body. I ain’t bullsh*tting. That man is difficult!”
Tip and Iggy have had public disputes over her reaction to negative criticism. Apparently, the Australian performer’s response to Q-Tip’s Twitter message about Hip Hop culture caused some friction between her and Tip as well.
(AllHipHop News) Marvel is continuing its homage to classic Hip Hop album covers by redesigning the artwork using characters from its comic universe. Some of the rap stars to get the variant treatment include Kendrick Lamar, Raekwon, Mobb Deep, Lupe Fiasco, Schoolboy Q, and Ice-T.
(AllHipHop News) Could a huge tour featuring some of Dr. Dre’s most successful protégés be headed overseas? If the Good Doc had his way, the answer would be yes. During his Beats 1 radio show interview with Snoop Dogg, Dre expressed his interest in hitting the stage with Snoop, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar.
According to the legendary producer, he has never done a full-out tour event in Europe. But Dre wants to show love to his fans on the continent by bringing three of the biggest rap stars in the world along with him for a series of performances.
“I want to call it ‘Beats & Rhymes.’ I want it to be me and Snoop. I want it to be Eminem. I want it to be Kendrick Lamar,” said Dre during his The Pharmacy show. “Do a tour over in Europe and call it ‘Beats & Rhymes’ and take our full production over there and take our full stage over there and really go over there and show Europe the same amount of love that they been showing me throughout my entire career. So, that’s my dream. Hopefully we can make that happen.”
It could be the perfect time to make that European trek, considering all three emcees appeared on Dre’s latest album Compton. Snoop seemed to like the idea. He even offered an alternative name for the potential mega-tour.
“Your dream sounds like Woodstock on steroids. Let’s call it Hoodstock,” added Snoop.
(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop producer Eric “Carl” McKinney was killed Sunday night in Brooklyn. After being shot in his arm and torso, the 31-year-old father of three crashed his car in an attempt to drive himself to a nearby medical facility.
According to police, McKinney was stopped at a red light when a man walked up to his Jeep Wrangler and began shooting. McKinney then drove off in the wrong direction before hitting a fence. He later died at Brooklyn Hospital.
McKinney was a close associate of Fabolous, and he was also once the brother-in-law of Foxy Brown. Both Brooklyn rappers and Carl’s brother Darryl “Mr. Ruggs” McKinney addressed the loss of life on Instagram.

This past weekend millions gathered in Washington D.C. for the Justice or Else movement lead by the Nation of Islam. Joining together for a positive movement to foster justice and peace millions of people from all walks of life gathered in peace. But while many gathered very few news sources covered the peaceful gathering. E-Bro said, “this year had a different vibe,” when recapping the march on Monday’s Hot97 morning show.
E-Bro said the movement was all “positive,” but that he was sad about the fact that everyone was coming together due to police brutality and continued violence against Blacks.
“While it was positive, I did have a feeling of sadness,” E-Bro lamented, “Because now here we are 20 years later gathering because we are being victimized, criminalized and mass incarcerated, and trying to stand up for ourselves, against oppression still. 20 years later.”
Also in attendance showing support were Snoop, Diddy, J-Cole, Jeezy, Dave Chappelle, Common and Jay Electronica. Take a listen as E-Bro kicks that knowledge!
While A3C and The BET Hip-Hop Awards were taking place in ATL over the weekend, the Snowman himself (albeit reformed) dropped a new project. Dubbed ‘Politically Correct’ Mr. Jeezy makes his return to the streets having fought through battles with other rappers, life in the streets and more on his way to releasing this project. This is a far cry from the days of Mannie Fresh and “Boom boom, clap,” but it will def do for now. Who can be mad at more Jeezy? He’s changing in some way, but he’s still the same Jeezy, just more money, more haters, more knowledge of the game and faith.
Last night, the multi-talented Nick Cannon celebrated his 35th birthday by serving up a wild ‘n out DJ set at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas. The energy inside the rooftop nightclub was cranked all the way up when Nick took the stage around 1:30 a.m. to deliver a full 45 minute set.
Later in the night, partygoers helped wish Cannon a happy birthday as he was presented with a NCredible DJ-themed three-tiered cake. After his set, Cannon and his entourage continued the celebration at their VIP booth where they enjoyed Moët & Chandon champagne.
