Earlier this week, Chicago duo The Odd Couple released a new project titled Closed Sessions: Chatterbox. The project has an elusively large number of dope tracks, featuring artists like The O’Mys, Pell, and many other up and coming artists.”Glass Up” featuring Allen Kingdom seems to be the one we have in rotation. The beat for the single is hard, with Kingdom’s vocals flowing along a bass-hitting beat. Definitely the song you want to bump in the car on your way back from that Independence Day party. Check out the track below, and give Chatterbox the proper listen.

Rappers like 2Chainz, Sa-Roc and others have opted to join Minister Louis Farrakhan’s massive rally in Washington D.C. to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March. This is not a celebration though, as the theme of the movement is deemed “Justice Or Else.”
The march is slated for October 10, 2015.
Farrakhan has met with a number of notables over the last year as instances of injustice and police brutality have increased. There have been images with Dame Dash, Ice Cube, Young Thug, Sway, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on social media and traditional media.
In this promotional video, #JusticeOrElse gets shout outs from 2 Chainz, Ezzy, Lil Bibby, Palo Mula, Bone Crusher, Kaleena Harper, and Sa-Roc.
The original Million Man March convened over a million men (and others) that gathered peacefully on the National Mall in D.C. The march focused on personal atonement, social and societal ills, economic empowerment and the negative portrayal of African American men in media outlets.
Many Black women were upset that they were not included in the plans. The Justice Of Else rally includes all races, genders and others who opposes injustice and systemic wrongdoing .
(AllHipHop News) When Joe Budden decided to comment on Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj’s relationship during the latest episode of his podcast, he probably did not expect it would become the number one trending topic on Twitter. That happened, thanks in part to Meek and Joe exchanging words on the social media site.
Meek went back at Joe in a series of tweets which included him saying, “Y’all n*ggas too old for this,” “Stop it old hating noodle,” “It ain’t that boy’s level to be commenting on the way I handle my lady,” and “Ya name ‘Ramen’ put him in the bathroom.” He also retweeted some memes making fun of Budden.
Now Nicki has responded to Joe’s podcast too. The leader of the Barbz sent out her own tweet directed at the Slaughterhouse member.
The entire situation started after Budden said, “Meek’s music is too hard for me to look at him with this f*cking sappy f*ck sh*t. Be the hardcore guy that I’m sure she was attracted to at some point. It’s nasty. I hate everything about it.”
In fairness, the former star of Love & Hip Hop did do exactly what Nicki suggested. Budden also added, “I do appreciate them both keeping the hope of love alive.”
Joe Budden’s comments on his podcast about Meek Mill may have been misconstrued by the Philly rapper. That didn’t stop the pair from having words for each other on Twitter. Click here for the previous report on this matter.
It all started when Joe Budden made a commentary about Meek and Nicki’s relationship as it corresponded with his public persona. Check out the previous comments.
Part of my problem with that is that Meek’s music is too hard. Meek’s music is too hard for me to look at him with this f*cking sappy f*ck sh*t. Be the hardcore guy that I’m sure she was attracted to at some point. It’s nasty. I hate everything about it. I’m glad a dark-skinned guy is behaving this way. Light-skinned n*ggas, we’re not moving like that…
Light-skinned guys, we’re used to getting the bad b*tch. He’s like this b*tch just stepped off a f*cking Mars and is the only girl. Oh my God, I just hate it all. But I do appreciate them both keeping the hope of love alive.

The internet was all a-buzz when it was announced that Ava Duvernay, most notably known for directing “Selma,” would leap into the Marvel Universe with “Black Panther.”
The film maker said that the deal is dead. She and Marvel were unable to reach an agreement creatively.
“I guess I’ll declare my independence from this rumor on 4th of July [and] Essence weekend!” said DuVernay, today from the well attended festival in New Orleans. “I’m not signing on to direct Black Panther. I think I’ll just say we had different ideas about what the story would be. Marvel has a certain way of doing things and I think they’re fantastic and a lot of people love what they do. I loved that they reached out to me.”
The Black Panther, an African super hero, will make his cinematic debut in next year’s guaranteed blockbuster “Captain America: Civil War.” It simply wasn’t meant to be, even though
“I loved meeting Chadwick and writers and all the Marvel execs. In the end, it comes down to story and perspective. And we just didn’t see eye to eye. Better for me to realize that now than cite creative differences later. I love the character of Black Panther, the nation of Wakanda and all that that could be visually. I wish them well and will be first in line to see it,” she said.
A replacement director has not been announced, but Duvernay said she would know before the end of the summer.

Last week, the Baltimore Police Department, faced more public scrutiny after it was alleged that its media office fabricated threats of gang violence were made against its police officers. These supposed threats just so happened to surface and were released on April 27, the same day that Freddie Gray was laid to rest. The death of Mr. Gray, at the hands of six arresting officers, has become a contentious issue. It has even been proposed that a rough ride caused Freddie Gray’s severed spine.
Earlier today (July 3), it was reported that a picture of an inflammatory sign was taken on Tuesday, and that sign seemingly mocks the death of Freddie Gray. The Central District Police Station on Baltimore Street, was the area around which the photos which were taken. According to WBAL-TV, the back of a police van was left open and a sign read, “Enjoy your ride, cuz we sure will!”
How will the Baltimore Police Department respond to this latest development in the death of Freddie Gray?

Meek Mill was all smiles and full of jokes as he sat down with Elliott Wilson for his CRWN Interview. In front of a crowd of a melting pot of 20 somethings at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre (July 2), the Dreamchasers general had a few reasons to be flaunting that pearly white smile. His sophomore project, Dreams Worth More Than Money, is projected to debut at the no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, his legal woes are a thing of the pass and he has the heart of the woman that just about every man lusts for, Nicki Minaj.
During their 90-minute chat, the 28-year-old gave the audience insight on how he made it through his traumatizing five-month stint in jail, what lane he’s in in hip-hop,who he listens to, being a Future stan and of course his love life. Before the full episode of the sit down posts next week on WatchLOUD.com, take a look at what we learned about the MMG rep as he chopped it up with the YN.

Being in jail was a “nightmare”
Due to his celebrity status, when Meek was first incarcerated he was isolated for 23 hours a day in a cell with no cellmate.
“Imagine being locked in your bathroom for 23 hours a day for like a month,” he said.
The worst part was that he was stripped searched every day at the crack of dawn for no apparent reason.
“I was complaining to my lawyer like ‘Why they keep coming in my cell with dogs and s–t five in the morning when I’m sleep?’ Men with masks on. I gotta stand a###### naked in front of some men every night. But they were just targeting me. It’s just two sides to being famous. You could be targeted or you could be treated better. It was a terrible thing. F–k jail.”
He said he spent his time doing push ups and reading books because he “couldn’t really write any raps.”
“I hadn’t wrote on paper in six or seven years so writing on paper was hard. I like to be in a good mood when I rap.”
But despite having a case of writer’s block, the Philly spitter said he was still “putting in work.”
“I was battling everything moving because that’s the type of animal I am. “The doors never lock all the inmates would be sneaking into each other cells and having little rap cyphers. At 2 o’clock in the morning my cell would be filled with n—s. It would be pitch black.”
The rumor mill was working against him
Though he had no access to the ‘gram, Meek said he still got word of the rumors that were floating around about what he was going through while behind bars.
“They said somebody walked up to me and knocked me out and when I was sleep on the floor they said “It’s levels to this s###!,” he laughed.

Meek is a big fan of Future
“He’s just a trill n—a that be talking that trill sh-t and I like it,” he told Wilson. “The s–t he be talking [about] is just the lifestyle we’re into. I love the flows, the melody. I love to see somebody who got real talent go through the ups and downs and still be able to jump back like me.”
Nicki Minaj was Meek’s ride or die chick while he was in jail
“I had to hear n—s screaming out all this crazy s### about the girl I like and not say [anything]. I never really told anybody that I used to be talking to her on the phone at that time. We was on the phone everyday. It just ain’t happen on overnight…She was holding me down. She ain’t never miss a call.”
J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar aren’t Meek Mill’s favorites
Meek wanted to make something clear. He feels that J. Cole is “dope” and Kendrick Lamar is the “best lyricist doing it right now” but they aren’t really on his playlist.
“I don’t listen to that type of music,” he said unapologetically. “I used to listen to Kendrick sh-t and this time he came with something that just wasn’t my lane. If Nicki does a pop song nine times out of ten I’m never going to listen to it ever in my life…They got songs that I might listen to but that ain’t really my type of s–t. I’m on some Future, Young Thug, Dej Loaf, YG, Troy Ave…Yo Gotti, of course Fab.”
Other highlights:
Meek doesn’t like when Nicki is in the studio.
He also has a new song in the works with Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.
Thought Kendrick Lamar isn’t one of his favorites, Meek says K. Dot “murdered him” on their collab “A1.”
A visual for the”All Eyes On You” track featuring Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown is on the way.
Chris Brown’s baby mama drama continues to pile up as Royalty’s (his daughter) grand mother takes to social media to list what Chris Brown’s child support payments would be used for. When Chris catches wind of this he shuts everything down once and for all!
With the recent announcement that The Peach Panther is coming soon, Riff Raff has dropped a new record, “Spazz Out,” with guitars and real drums that compliment the care-free attitude of the song perfectly.
