Deuce.D drops new music featuring The King Of Brooklyn Maino.
After a starring role on Eminem’s Total Slaughter reality show and an absolute thrashing of his longtime rival Loaded Lux on PPV, Dot Mob general and New York native Murda Mook has become the official poster child for battle rappers worldwide.
With his star on the rise and the art form reaching new levels, it was no surprise that BET would want to capture some of the magic for the upcoming Hip-Hop awards.
But he was a bit surprised when (and how!) the Doggfather, Snoop himself hit him to do it.
Mook sat down with MrMecc to chop it up about the new Gladiator School segment, when and how rappers can audition, who’s already made the cut and how it all came to be.

(AllHipHop) R&B king Ne-Yo can add philanthropist to his long list of professional accolades.
Thursday night, the Grammy-Award winning artist and his nonprofit The Compound Foundation, held their third annual “Fostering a Legacy” in NYC.
Sponsored by Porsche Cars North America, the “Fostering a Legacy” benefit is their premier fundraiser which honors individuals that have impacted children’s lives through their contributions, dedication and advocacy.
Event chairman and Co-CEO of Sun Capital, Mark Leder hosted over 100 philanthropists, business executives and music professionals as they filled into Gotham Hall for a night of entertainment.
Mila J, Kevin Liles, Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price, Ne-Yo’s mother Lorraine Smith, and Porsche Brand & Lifestyle VP, Cristina Cheever were some of the guests on hand to support.
Ne-Yo hosted the awards ceremony with help from Saturday Night Live comedian and recent VMA host, Jay Pharaoh.
Jodie Blum, adoptive parent and Executive Director of Grammy U, and former foster child Steve Pemberton, Divisional Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of Walgreens, were the special honorees of the night.
Following the dedication, the party kicked into high gear as the audience were treated to performances from both Ne-yo and Trey Songz.
Trey Songz perform a medley of hits including “Heart Attack” , “NaNa” and “Say Ahh”, while Ne-Yo belted his high-energy hit “Let me Love You” and more.
The dancing didn’t stop there as Questlove jumped on the 1’s & 2’s for the official after-party.
Ne-Yo on The Compound Foundation’s Mission:
“Circumstance should never stand in the way of a child’s dream. Being a foster kid, you kind of get this red stamp of disapproval before you get an opportunity to prove and show who you are, and I don’t feel like that’s fair. That’s why The Compound Foundation was founded; to keep these kids inspired, to keep these kids educated of the opportunities that are out there for them, and to make sure that these kids understand that where you come from, and where you end up don’t have anything to do with each other.”

(AllHipHop News) Wale called The Russ Parr Morning Show to discuss his upcoming project The Album About Nothing. While speaking with the radio program’s co-hosts, Wale was asked about Maybach Music Group boss Rick Ross’ role in settling his recent social media spat with fellow MMG artist Meek Mill.

“[Ross] was high,” said Wale. “He gonna come in that joint smelling like a tree trunk. But that’s how he is though. He was just like, ‘Man, what? We ain’t talking bout this right now.’”
The DMV representative then expressed how it was unfortunate the two rappers got into that public argument two days before Meek went to jail. Wale says he has not had the chance to speak with Meek since he has been incarcerated, but they were able to connect through other people.
“I actually did a song with his cousin, his best friend,” revealed Wale. “And I even poked fun at Meek and me arguing on the record. It’s all good. I think he comes home in late September, so it’s all good on all sides.”

Eric Bellinger and The Game have teamed up once again, this time for Bellinger’s upcoming mixtape, Choose Up Season, for the track “Awkward.” The mixtape is slated to be released on October 1st. Additionally, a trailer debut for the mixtape happened today.
Bellinger stated, “The single life in LA is wild. And the ‘CHOOSE UP’ can get very real. After you choose up, it’s time to leave the club and get your car from ‘VALET’ before continuing the turn up with a ‘HOUSE PARTY’ at the crib. If things go right, you know she’ll pulling out the ‘NIGHT BAG’ and talking to ‘THE PILLOW’ while the two of you become ‘NIGHT OWLS.’ However, it’s usually agreed upon in the beginning that the two of you will ‘NEVER BE TOGETHER’ and that things are just ‘CASUAL’ until one of them catches feelings and things instantly get ‘AWKWARD.”
On the track, Bellinger asks for things to go back to the way they were the day before him and his girl became involved. He sings, “This sh*t is just awkward.” Bellinger sings about the awkwardness that follows a break up where the other keeps in contact with your friends, family etc. The Game raps “Instead of you acting crazy I suggest you see other men.” Cuffing Season is on the way!
Take a listen to the track below and also check out the trailer for the mixtape!
(AllHipHop News) Say what you want about Childish Gambino, but you can’t say the actor/rapper lacks confidence. After calling out Drake (as well as Kendrick Lamar & Schoolboy Q) at a concert in Australia earlier this summer, the “3005” creator repeated his belief that he is a superior emcee to Drizzy.

During a recent presentation with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg in Los Angeles, Gambino was asked by a member of the audience about Drake. The former star of Community praised the Toronto rhymer, but he did not fall back on his previous statements.
“I don’t hate Drake at all. I really like Drake, if not for no other reason than he makes me better. He really does, for real,” stated Gambino.
The entertainer also known as Donald Glover added, “I think he’s a really good writer and rapper. Right now, I definitely think I’m better than him, but only because I’m working harder than him right now. If he came in right now like, ‘Let’s rap,’ I’d be like, ‘Oh, I’mma kill you.’ But like right now. Maybe he’s got something up his sleeve.”
Gambino performed for the crowd at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater as well. The audience got to hear the first live performance of the Atlanta native’s self-described “Michael Jackson-esque” single “Sober.”

One more thing the world needs: another celebrity sextape.
Although Iggy Azalea seems to be trying to stop the tape from seeing the light of day, her ex-boyfriend is pretty smart and is finding ways around the system so the world can see those cakes.
TMZ is reporting that Iggy signed her rights away to him back in 2009-meaning he can legally release the video.
“Hefe Wine says Iggy signed a lengthy agreement with him in 2009 — obtained by TMZ — which gives him exclusive rights to “manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise ‘any’ recording embodying visual images.”
Iggy signed the contract to cut records and music videos, but Wine believes all he has to do is put a music bed under the sex tape which he claims would then give him exclusive rights to sell it.
In other words, he believes Iggy has no legal ability to block a sex tape if he wants to sell it.
What’s more … the contract provides that Wine has the legal right to create, host and maintain a website to market Iggy’s works, so he believes he could create a website which would host the video,” TMZ reports.
Poor Igg. I wonder when females will learn that you can’t do the do and let em’ catch ya on film, it’ll come back to haunt you…

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj wants the world to know that she has stepped up her pen game on the forthcoming The Pinkprint album. The YMCMB rapper tells Rolling Stone her third studio album will be a greater artistic piece of work than her previous projects.

“It’s the best album I’ve ever done,” says Nicki.
The Pinkprint comes after 2010’s Pink Friday and 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Nicki’s debut album got mostly positive responses from critics, but the sequel received a majority of mixed to negative reviews. PF:RR‘s Metacritic rating is 60/100, and the album was panned by The Los Angeles Times, NME, Slant, and Consequence of Sound.
So far this year, the Queens representative has released the singles “Pills N Potions” and “Anaconda.” Both tracks have crossed the 60 million view count on YouTube with “Anaconda” raking up over 160 million views in just three weeks.
Young Money’s First Lady suggests the collective tracks on The Pinkprint will be different from what the public experienced on PF:RR.
“I don’t think any of these songs could have been on my last album,” Nicki adds. “I’ve grown as a writer. I’m braver in terms of speaking about things I didn’t feel comfortable sharing two years ago.”
Rolling Stone‘s fall music preview featuring Nicki Minaj appears in the magazine’s September 25 issue. The feature covers Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West’s respective upcoming studio albums as well.

Here we go! Have you heard of the dude Stitches? I never heard of him until recently, but he has spawned a bunch of controversy with his cocaine fetish and his wild ways on the mic. So, if you see his video, you get the distinct impression that he was raised by a pack of wolves in the deep ghettos of Miami. But, another rumor has emerged on the seemingly crazed rapper. Word on the block is that his step-pop was a cop! His real name is Phillip Katsabanis aka Lil Phill from the suburbs and a recent write-up challenged his authenticity. You think you gonna stop Stitches, writer boy? NEVER! He’s here now and thanks to WSHH and Youtube, here to stay! Now put that brick in yo’ face!
And he uses the N-word. Don’t like that. Anyway, that’s just my opinion, not necessarily AllHipHop.

(AllHipHop News) A week after finding out his sentence in a federal firearm case will be reduced, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has discovered his fate in another legal issue. According to reports, Gucci pleaded guilty for aggravated assault on Monday.

That case stemmed from a 2013 incident at an Atlanta nightclub. Gucci (born Radric Davis) was accused of striking an army staff sergeant with a bottle, leaving the victim to need stitches.
Gucci originally pleaded not guilty to the charge, but the decision to reverse his plea guarantees a three-year sentence for the assault will be served concurrently with the 39-month sentence for the gun charges.
This comes after Gucci asked for community service in August of 2013, but a judge denied the request.

(AllHipHop News) Those individuals seeking justice for Michael Brown may have to wait a little longer than expected. The grand jury reviewing whether to bring charges against police officer Darren Wilson for Brown’s killing has been extended until January 7, 2015.
[ALSO READ: Two New Witnesses Confirm Michael Brown Was Shot With His Hands Up (VIDEO)]
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the extension does not necessarily mean it will take the grand jury that long to decide on the case, but it is a possibility.
The outlet also reports the typical grand jury in St. Louis County convenes for four months. That time frame expired last week for the current jury which was assembled prior to the Brown shooting. Circuit Judge Carolyn Whittington added extra time for the panel to review the Brown case exclusively.
Wilson is able to testify if he wishes, but he is not required to take the stand in the preceding. If he does choose to testify, his lawyer cannot be in the room.
The current St. Louis County grand jury reviewing the Michael Brown case consists of nine white and three black jurors. The testimonies and evidence presented to a grand jury are kept secret.
