Peace and blessings my creatures of undeniable greatness! Happy Friday and welcome to the day that you realize that it is impossible for fear and faith to occupy the same space! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to taking your moment! In this game of life, the winners are always going to be the people who claim their prize way before they’ve even won and are willing to take the action steps to get there. Those who spectate on the sidelines may understand how the game is played and can become good commentators but truth be told a commentator never wins championships! Make sure that you are, at every moment, seizing the moment! As Judith McNuaght once said… “You can’t outwit fate by standing on the sidelines placing little sidebets about the outcome of life. Either you wade in and risk everything you have to play the game or you don’t play at all. And if you don’t play you can’t win.” Stop being a sidebetter! Stop being afraid…. And matter fact, if you are afraid, don’t ever let that stop you!! Just take what you deserve!!

Lady GaGa did her thing over the weekend – she was funny! But, her album ArtPop has not managed quite so well. The album was set to sell roughly 260k in the first week, which is actually pretty good by most standards. But Gaga is not most artists. Her first album sold over a million in the first week. As I recall, they did a lot of pricing trickery to get that to happen, like selling it for .99 cents in some digital spots. Now, here is where the firing goes. Interscope devoted $25 million into the promotion of this album and will not come close to breaking even. They haven’t put this much into an album since Michael Jackson! There are even reports that own up to payola being transacted to push her single “Applause.” About 50 people are reportedly going to be jobless as we move into the holiday season.
(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s public feud with Jimmy Kimmel as a result of the comedian’s satirical take on Kanye’s interview with BBC One’s Zane Lowe did not deter other comedy staples from poking fun at the eccentric genius. On last Saturday (November 16th) episode of Saturday Night Live, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s relationship was the center of a hilarious sketch.
During their faux TV show, Waking Up With Kimye, Jay Pharaoh (playing Kanye West) berates an Apple employee played by Lady Gaga for using the term “genius”.
Check out the full sketch below:
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES!?
Ja Rule and 50 Cent are party to one of the biggest rap beefs ever! And they are of the type of beef where people were shot and beat up and all that crazy stuff. Not like now, where a tweet equals beef. Now, you think it would be possible that something could pop off, but it seems that time has allowed for cool heads to prevail off the top. Nothing happened at all. The only thing that happened was Ja Rule tweeted about it.
What are the chances me and 50 same flight same row no problems!!! #Grownmanshit

(AllHipHop Exclusive) “Hip Hop sucks now, and it needed us do something because of it’s crappy a** state,” says producer/rapper Necro. The leading force in Death Rap hooked up with his all-time favorite emcee, Kool G Rap, to release the new collaborative album Once Upon A Crime.
The two life-long New Yorkers got together one day in Queens and over glasses of Hennessy decided it was the perfect time to combine Necro’s dark, grimy production with G Rap’s signature street rhymes for a full length body of work. The result was tracks like “Black Medicine” and “American Sickos” which provide macabre imagery while cuts such as “Gangsta” and “Trigga 4 Hire” incorporate classic mobster references.

“It wasn’t put together in a way that it was a collision,” explains G Rap. “It was like certain songs we’re gonna go this direction and certain songs we’re gonna go more in a Mafioso direction.”
When two legends of the game come together for a project it’s more than just an album. It’s an event. To commemorate that distinguished partnership G Rap and Necro are providing their fans a choice of 4 different album packages to purchase.
The “Joe Pesci Krills Pack” includes the album, 7 art panels, and the 28-page lyric booklet. The “Roy Demeo Yao Pack” includes an autographed CD. The “Guy Fisher Smack Pack” also comes with a T-shirt, beanie, sticker, and poster. Those customers that ante up $100 for the “Gotti Crystal Meth Pack” will get the items above as well as a hoodie, fitted cap, autographed booklet, and a personal thank you from Necro in his next solo album.
The package extras are exclusive bonus items that fans will definitely appreciate, but the most valuable part of Once Upon A Crime is of course the music. Necro is proud to point out that the album is for those listeners who treasure high quality songs created by two of rap’s supremely skilled artisans.
“We were not trying to get it done off some Chef Boyardee s**t where you just open the can and heat it up,” says Necro. “This is more Hibachi. Some Benihana s**t. Some true tempura Hip Hop.”

(AllHipHop News) Today (November 18th), the international community of the DJ culture will preside at New York Times Center in Manhattan for the 2013 Global Spin Awards. At September’s press conference to announce the nominees for this years Global Spin Awards, the show’s host, Sway Calloway gave an EXCLUSIVE interview with AllHipHop discussing the evolution of the DJ culture, new ways of branding and compares EDM DJ’s to Hip Hop DJs.
In the early 2000’s, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne and a litany of other MCs would attest that DJ-hosted mixtapes were integral in their eventual rise to rap superstardom. However, in the past five years, punctuated by the metoric rise of Drake’s So Far Gone, the DJ is no longer an essential piece in making a mixtape successful. Sway spoke on this change but hinted that award shows like Global Spin Awards and the recent rise of EDM as proof that DJs are regaining their spot at the top of music relevancy:
What happened was the DJ used to be the most important figure in Hip Hop. The dancer, the graf writer and the writer all kind of came behind the DJ. The DJ controlled the party. The rapper, the MC, was the guy that kept people hype. But when the rap business invaded the culture, the rapper became the front guy. In the process, the business did not care about the DJ, they cared about the front guy and who they can profit from. Who is the guy in the gold chain. Who was the guy who controlled the mic. That was the person that was in the video more so than the DJ.
Further delving into the evolution of Dj’ing, Sway spoke on how the human element of a DJ will always trump the convenience of internet-curated playlist generators such as Pandora:
I think people are realizing that it’s imperative that the DJ is apart of this process. Even as powerful as the internet has become, you still need the DJ. To really influence the audience. The internet has become a strong tool similar to a DJ. But you not going to turn on the internet when you go to a party. [Laughs] You not going to log on to Pandora when you at the party. So we’ve seen a lot of the evolution.
EDM DJ, Calvin Harris was the highest paid DJ of the past year, raking in $46 million with a reported $200,000 per show earning. While EDM DJs have skyrocketed into being the most sought after DJs in America over the past three years, Sway believes the skill set of a Hip Hop DJ still trumps that of a traditional EDM DJ:
When I was growing up, you had to spin all genres. Whether it was soul, whether it was dance, hip hop, polka, pop, whatever. [DJ] Scratch could spin on any platform. You could take him to those EDM parties. Dance music is the easiest music to mix in my opinion, the BPMs are all the same, the melodies are all the same, the chords are all the same. They can kill that. But you cant take an EDM DJ and bring him to a Hip Hop party and expect him to kill it. There’s a lot of guys who do both but chances are they wouldn’t be able to do it.
The Global Spin Awards is tonight (November 18th). Check out the trailer for the event below:
A dude pretending to work for Nick Cannon has gone around robbing people of thousands in jewelry basically by saying that he works for the super star. Yeah. He goes to jewelry people and at Fred Segal and tells them Mariah needs some jewels and the gave it to him later. They delivered the stuff to a hotel by way of a female worker. The female worker gave another man, dressed up as a security guard. The security guard says Nick doesn’t want to pay taxes so he’s going to go up to the room and get the cash money for her. She still gives him the pricey stuff, trusting the crooks. That was the last time she saw the security dude. He never came back. Now, the police are on the case.
Anyway, shout out to Nick Cannon. While somebody was fake acting like they were him, he was on TV with a new stand up special called “F**k Nick Cannon.”

On fashion:
I got the opportunity to create with Louis Vuitton and they only let it happen one time because it was the biggest boom. Everyone wanted those sneakers, and it was almost the moment when I got to sip the clean water for one time… I had ideas of running up in the Louis Vuitton store and knocking sh*t over cause they weren’t recognizing my ability to create and my connection with real people. They just let me do one shoe and said “you can’t do it again” and I said “no, I’m bout to turn up like Neo from the [Matrix] and ya’ll need to understand what’s about to happen here.” So when I did “New Slaves” I put my face on all these stores- these luxury brands throughout the world.
On his father:
My dad was always running up on stage and grabbing mics. My dad was definitely the dad who said “you understand when you play pool why the white ball hits the 8 ball,” but really he is psych major who is a Christian marriage counselor.
On wearing the Confederate flag:
You don’t ever know what I’m trying to do. Black people stopping other black people from getting checks. What black people don’t know is that racism is something that white people don’t even have to do anymore because we hate each other more than white people hate us. It’s like a real estate on racism- it works on itself. People got bills. Don’t nobody care about the Confederate flag on that type of level.

On being called a “jacka**” by President Barack Obama:
Just say you hate Kanye and there’s gonna be 30 other people who say they hate Kanye and that was kinda my position in culture and he kinda used that too “oh he’s a jackass” cause that’s how the world felt, but I don’t care if someone’s the President or not. I care about thoughts and how you’re helping people and what you bring to the world. My music brings joy to people. What I create brings joy to people… I think he shouldn’t mention my babymomma’s name because we both from Chicago. But no, I’m not gonna mention him no more I’m passed that. That’s out my thoughts. That’s lowering my priority of thinking at this point.

To Every New Yorker. On Monday “The Truth Will Set You Free” comes out. No album…Just the truth. You gonna want to look and listen to this. God is my witness I had to pray about this. This is what you wanted so I gave it to ya. The Real.
Trinidad started another discussion about the current state of New York Hip Hop last week when he said “the South runs New York” during a performance in the Big Apple. The remarks led some NYC rappers like Maino to take shots back at Trinidad. Other rappers from the city partially agreed with Trinidad’s sentiment that southern Hip Hop dominates New York airwaves and clubs.

(AllHipHop News) Mariah Carey created a media stir recently when the Pop diva made some cryptic comments about her time as a judge on American Idol. Speaking with Angie Martinez the “Fantasy” singer said the experience “was like going to work everyday in hell with Satan.”
[ALSO READ: Mariah Carey Jokes That Working With Nicki Minaj Was Like Working With Satan In Hell (VIDEO)]
The comments were suspected to be referring to fellow former AI judge Nicki Minaj. The two performers had a really public feud that played on the reality show. Carey’s husband Nick Cannon revealed to Access Hollywood that he does not believe the Satan remark was aimed at Minaj or any of the other judges.
“I don’t think her comment was about anyone on the panel,” said Cannon. “I don’t think she was speaking directly about [Nicki Minaj]. I think she was talking about the situation in general.”
Carey mentioned during the Martinez interview that she was surprised when American Idol producers decided to add a fourth judge on the show after she was under the impression that she would be the only female on the panel.

As we’ve previously reported, King Tech, Sway and DJ Revolution have been dropping phenomenal videos of emerging artists over the last few weeks and this week is no exception! The World Famous Wake Up Show recently created a Hip Hop experience like none other. They took Grammy Award Winning musicians who had never played together before and paired them with emerging Hip Hop artists. The result was a day of Hip Hop genius. They are finally rolling out the videos from that amazing day and AllHipHop.com has got the exclusives!
First up is a guy that we like to refer to as the Michael McCary of “The Wake Up Show Unplugged Series“! He had the deepest voice of all the kids who spit the day of the Wake Up Show Unplugged taping! (Michael MCary is the dope deep voiced guy in Boyz II Men who eventually left the group and who’s voice is missed on every new track! But we digress!) Gil Gatsby came in grabbed the mic and had his way with both his flow and the music. His voice was more than deep…it was commanding and by the time he finished spitting he convinced all who had been talking with him all day that it was more than a dope tone of voice that got him there…the boy could spit gems too! Double threat! Check him out in the video below!
Next is a kid that stepped to the mic with a laid back yet serious super West Coast vibe! He unloaded on the mic in such a way that made all in the room sort of release a quick and much needed exhale and bob their heads along with his flow. For all who had come from far away to be there…R-mean‘s rhyme scheme was the very definition of California rap that they had hoped to hear someone spit! While there were several Left Coast artists in the room, no one quite captured the LA essence as in the case of R-mean! But the craziest part of it all is, that while he is from LA… he grew up overseas! We love stories like that! See what we mean below!
Well there you go! Two very different and very dope performances! Through the coming weeks there will be even more of them so stay tuned!
Check out www.wakeupshow.com for new updates on both the “Wake Up Show Unplugged” project and to keep up with Tech, Sway and Rev about what’s going on with their show on Sirius XM/ Shade 45! You can also follow them on Twitter at @wakeupshow. Don’t forget to tune in Monday nights, Shade 45 on Sirius XM at 8 PM ET/ 5 PM PT!

ODB TIME!
Over the weekend you may have heard some stuff went down at a screening of an ODB movie, called “Dirty: Platinum Edition.” The film was by NuHo Film Festival but AHH helped them get the word out, in the name of Russell Jones! But, all didn’t go well! The film wasn’t able to be screened at a live event in Brooklyn because of a cease and desist from the family. I WISH I could tell you all that I know about this, but I cannot. There is a lot going on behind the scenes, TRUST!

Man, f**k that dude Theodore P. Wafer! This is the man that shot a young Black woman that knocked on his door after her car broke down. He will be charged with second degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Renisha McBride on Nov. 2. Now, they are trying to build up a case against her saying she was drunk and all this BS. That don’t matter after a dude shoots her in the FACE with a SHOTGUN.
SNL spoofed Kanye and Kim K over the weekend. I’m thinkings Kanye is going to be beefing with Lady GaGa any second for her role in this.
