Chris Brown Catches A Break In Assault Case

(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown is in legal hot water in an assault case in Washington D.C., but the singer has received some good news.

Investigators have not been able to find any video footage of the alleged fracas.

A fan alleges that Chris Brown punched him in the face after the fan tried to photo-bomb a picture with another fan. Chris charged that the man was trying to get on his tour bus without permission.

Secret Service agents back up Chris Brown’s account of the events, and also say they heard the alleged victim stating Brown didn’t hit him.

Brown voluntarily entered rehab for anger since the incident.

Master P “Lonely Road”

Master P stated, “It’s a lonely road to success, but I’m all too familiar with that road. The music industry has evolved, independent artists have more opportunities to win in this industry if they’re willing to work hard. I’ve dedicated my time, re-introduced myself and increased my fan base with this new generation of music buyers. The key is creating hit records like the Lonely Road, my first single off the Limited Edition The Gift Album which hits stores December 6th. I get better with time… there’s No Limit to what you can do if you’re not afraid to sacrifice, put in the work and never give up. This new album isn’t about me, I’m just using my gift of music to inspire my people.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Nicki Dissing Drake?

Nicki Minaj out promoting the YouTube awards, but in the midst of that, she’s being asked some interesting questions as well. Namely, why didn’t Drake have anybody from Young Money on his latest album? She said she is working on her latest album so that’s that. About the 4:25 mark, she says “Drake can do what Drake do, but Nicki Minaj is a whole different person.” We know she is a different person, but it definitely sounds like shots are being fired.

Oh and for you that thought she was Photoshopped in the Halloween pics, you can see she ain’t. Straight off the Instagram.

EXCLUSIVE: Prodigy Gives Props To Earl Sweatshirt, Details New Mobb Deep Album

(AllHipHop Features) It has been seven years since Prodigy and Havoc of the legendary Hip Hop duo Mobb Deep released an official studio album. Since that time Prodigy served time in prison for a gun possession charge, the reconvened group teased fans with the 7-track Black Cocaine EP, had a very public falling out, and reconciled for a 20th anniversary tour.

The next logical step would be for the Queensbridge rhymers to produce another full length project to add to their catalogue, and according to P the long-awaited album (possibly titled Mobb Deep) is on the way.

Mr. Mecc caught up with Prodigy for AllHipHop.com to discuss what listeners can expect to hear from the infamous partners on their forthcoming LP. According to P it will be rooted in the recognizable Mobb Deep formula and not an attempt to ride the wave of the new era Hip Hop.

“So far what we’ve been doing all Havoc production. Just staying grounded, don’t try and chase whatever trend in music,” says Prodigy. “We can experiment here and there with a couple of songs, but for the most part we gotta stick to our guns.”

Besides Havoc providing tracks for the album, long time collaborator Alchemist is the only other producer contributing to the project. Alchemist produced tracks on the previous Mobb Deep albums Murda Muzik, Infamy, and Amerikaz Nightmare. The 36-year-old California native also joined with Prodigy for the collaborative album Albert Einstein released in June. Besides P, Hav, and Al don’t expect many other artists’ names to be listed in the album’s credits. They plan to keep the guest collaborations to a minimum.

“I think it’s better like that. This is your album. People ain’t buying a compilation album. They wanna hear you,” says Prodigy. “It’s nice to have features. Just don’t over do it.”

When asked who he would like to possibly work with on a song, one rising East Coast rhyme spitter and another from the West Coast got P’s co-sign. His first choice is fellow Queens emcee Action Bronson who he collaborated with for track on the Fool’s Gold artist’s forthcoming debut album. Prodigy then names Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt as another preferred up-and-coming rapper he’d like to get in the studio with.

“I like Earl. Earl got an ill style. He makes beats crazy to me,” reveals P. “When I listen to his music it reminds me of Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang but in a different type of way – young, crazy type of way. They even more crazy than we were.”

Nicki Minaj Responds To Kendrick’s “Control”; “I’m The King Of New York”

(AllHipHop News) It has been nearly three months since Kendrick Lamar shook the rap world with his verse from Big Sean’s “Control,” and the responses from Hip Hop artists are still making waves. The latest rapper to weigh in on K. Dot’s naming dropping lines is Young Money’s Nicki Minaj.

Nicki recently spoke with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club. When asked why she thinks Kendrick did not mention her along with his other worthy peers he claimed to want to “murder” lyrically, the leader of the Barbz gave two possible explanations.

“I’m probably in the top five n***as he did mention, so go and do your motherf**King research,” said Nicki, “I also feel like maybe he’s one of those respectful gentleman that probably felt like I don’t want to say a female’s name, or maybe he just don’t think the kid is ill.”

The other bars from “Control” that had many East Coast emcees jumping to reply to Kendrick where the ones where he named himself the “King of New York.” Being a Queens native, Nicki countered that statement with her own proclamation.

“I’m the Queen of New York. I’m the King of New York,” added Nicki. “Let me tell you why. Platinum albums. Plural. Number one in five motherf**king countries. Don’t play with me.”

The “Roman’s Revenge” rapper left one final half-jokingly response for her competitors.

“When you got an album that go number one in Japan, and the U.K., and Australia, and America at the same motherf**king time, and Canada, then you can speak my motherf**king name b*tch.”

Word on the street is that Stevie J is asking his baby mama to chill out! She apparently has been causing him much stress and strife. Last week, AHH broke the news that Stevie J seemingly owed his ex over one million in back child support of their two kids.
