Data Scientist Calculates Which Emcees Have The Largest Vocabulary In Hip Hop

(AllHipHop News) Using Shakespeare’s reputation for using thousands of words in his work, designer, coder, and data scientist Matt Daniels decided to explore which rappers possessed the largest vocabulary.

To make it fair, Daniels focused on the 85 artists’ first 35,000 lyrics. He then compared those calculations to the first 5,000 words of seven Shakespeare plays and the first 35,000 words of Herman Melville’s Moby Dick.

The results of Daniels’ analysis placed Aesop Rock at number one. The Wu-Tang Clan and its respective members controlled 6 spots in the top 25 with GZA coming in at number two. Kool Keith took number 3 while Canibus (4) and CunninLyguists (5) rounded out the top 5.

Some of the most recognizable names were near the bottom of the list. 2Pac was 68, Kanye West was 71, Lil Wayne was 72, and Drake was 83. DMX came in last.

When broken down by region the East Coast had the highest vocabulary level and the South had the lowest. Only 4 out of 17 southern artists in the dataset were above average, but southern representatives OutKast made the top 20 at 15.

Lil Wayne Attempts To Fight Marcos Maidana After Mayweather Bout (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne has close ties to Floyd Mayweather’s “Money Team.” Wayne, along with Justin Bieber, walked Mayweather to the ring during his most recent fight against Marcos Maidana on Saturday night, and it seems Wayne’s affiliation with Money led to the New Orleans native trying to fight Maidana after the bout.

Video captured Wayne and his entourage running it Maidana and his camp in a hallway at the MGM Grand. This is not the first sporting event where the Young Money boss has publicly confronted a person he had taken issue with.

Last year Wayne got into an altercation with a cameraman at DirecTV’s annual Beach Bowl. Also, his infamous “f**k the Miami Heat” rant took place during NBA All-Star weekend 2013.

Tyga To Diss Lil Durk On "Chiraq" Freestyle (VIDEO); Durk Responds

(AllHipHop News) Tyga jumps on fellow Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj’s “Chiraq” beat to take aim at Chicago’s Lil Durk. The “Rack City” rhymer posted a preview of his response to Durk’s diss on Instagram.

“Who the f**k is Lil Durk?” spits Tyga on the track.

Dirk caught wind of the his name being mentioned on the snippet and responded via his own Twitter.

According to Durk, the back-and-forth began after he mentioned Tyga’s girlfriend Black Chyna on “Get Dat Money” with Chris Brown and French Montana. The two rappers then had a falling out which led to Durk throwing shots at Tyga on his own version of a “Chiraq” remix.

Durk rapped, “Tyga only got one name but that n#### ain’t got one stripe.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay Z And Brooklyn Hoo-Ride Drake In Barclays

It was all good just a week ago…or so.

Drake vs Jay Z is getting stranger and stranger. But, over the weekend, The Nets licked off on the younger rapper. But, only after Drizzy sent a shot at Jay. Remember when, a Raptors game, Drake said, “This is the people’s team. Jay-Z is out somewhere eating a fondue plate” Bad move!

Now Jay Z sent a couple darts at Drake over the weekend, on that new Khaled joint. “Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my draw string/ Wrong sport, boy, you know you’re soft as a lacrosse team.” Lacrosse got made at Jay and in a statement: “Major League Lacrosse even dissed Jay after he dissed Drake stating, “Mr. Carter would not last one minute on a lacrosse field during a match, and he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try.”

ANYWAY…this (picture below) is what the Nets did in defense of Jay Z, still part owner in the Barclays. In the background, Jay’s “Public Service Announcement” played…further dissing Drizzle. Why don’t they just kiss and make up?!

Usher Debuts New Michael Jackson Single At iHeartRadio Music Awards

Michael Jackson‘s new posthumous album will be released in two weeks, however fans in attendance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night got to see the leading single revealed by Usher. One knows you can only call on Usher or Chris Brown to do anything Michael Jackson related justice. iHeartRadio called on dancing sensation Usher to share it with the world.

Usher took to the stage to dance to a portion of the new single, “Love Never Felt So Good,” which will feature Justin Timberlake. Introduced by L.A. Reid, Usher and a troupe of dancers rocked out to the Michael Jackson and Paul Anka written single. The single will hit the radio today. Check out the video clip below.

Dozens Hospitalized From Stampede After Mayweather-Maidana Fight

(AllHipHop News) Floyd “Money” Mayweather left the MGM Grand Garden Arena the victor in his bout against Marcos Maidana Saturday night, but according to reports numerous spectators left the event as victims of a stampede that broke out at the casino.

The Las Vegas Fire Department told Yahoo Sports that 20-40 people were injured from the melee that apparently began when fans tried to leave the arena through a small passageway. An estimated 300-400 people began rushing through the space causing others to be trampled.

The Las Vegas Sun reports an eyewitness said  “five or six” fights broke out with Metro Police, and another two security guards were hurt.

There were rumors that a gun being fired caused the massive rush to exit the venue, but investigators claim those reports cannot be corroborated. MGM is excepted to release a statement about the post-fight stampede today.

Things are getting serious with Tae Heckard and NBA baller Brandon Jennings. If you care, yesterday Jennings took to Twitter to basically say he and Teyana Taylor were nothing.

“Yesterday, Teyana called Brandon’s aunt. She’s not happy and is being very messy. Teyana called BJ’s family complaining about Tae, saying she is not in love with BJ & she don’t want him just his money. BJ was at lunch at the Cheesecake Factory when he got the call from his family, which is why he sent those tweets. Teyana said that Tae is only with BJ to get at her for some reason. She is going to try to come for Tae.”

The Carters aren’t even attending the wedding, but that’s not stopping Kim…

Kim Kardashian knows that if Bey comes down that aisle donning a bridesmaid dress, it’ll be talked about for days, but word is Mrs. Carter just isn’t having it.

National Enquirer is reporting, “Beyonce, who’s always had a cool relationship with Kim, hasn’t even agreed to attend – telling pals that being associated with reality star Kim ‘cheapens her brand!’ But Kim’s not a girl who takes no for an answer. She’s convinced Kanye can work a miracle and get Jay Z to talk Beyonce into it.”

Kimmy Cakes can’t get to her, so she put Yeezy on the job.

“Now Kanye’s between a rock and a hard place. He’s danced around the issue with Jay Z – who just laughs and says he can’t make Beyonce do much of anything she doesn’t want to do. And it’s pretty obvious she wants nothing to do with Kim and Kanye’s wedding,” says a source.

Some things you gotta let go…The Carters having anything to do with this wedding is one of them. Wonder if they’re even gonna allow playdates with Blue and North…
