Hip-Hop Rumors: Frank Ocean Wears Offensive Chris Brown Diss Shirt

Frank Ocean has decided to wear and promote a t-shirt that is going to offend many Chris Brown fans and Breezy too. The shirt simply says: “Wanted (Insert Chris Brown’s Face) For Domestic Violence.” This clearly states that ish ain’t sweet between these dudes. But, why do it like this? Some have accused Frankie of doing this for pure attention. Others have said that it was done has an effort to drive Chris into a rage again and help him further meltdown for the public to see.

Lil Wayne To Appear On Season Premiere Of Katie Couric's Talk Show

(AllHipHop News) Back in 2009, Lil Wayne sat down with Katie Couric for CBS’ “All Access Grammy Special.” That interview led to Wayne’s famous response, “I’m a rapper. That’s who I am Miss Katie, and I am a gangsta, and I do what I want.”

The Cash Money rapper and the talk show host are meeting up again on the season 2 premiere of Katie airing September 9th. During the episode Wayne discusses dropping out of high school, his recent hospitalization, his time in prison, his mother’s request for him to stop drinking syrup, and more.

Meek Mill wasted little time keeping the promise he kept by naming recent Cassidy diss “Kendrick You Next”. Over a warped version of the classic Dr. Dre’s “Forgot About Dre”, Meek employs his patented aggressive flow to respond to Kendrick’s mention of him on his “Control” verse.

With this song, Meek becomes the first rapper of the ones named by Kendrick in his “Control” verse to respond in song. Chances are this will not be the Dreamchasers 3 intro where Meek vowed to also address Kendrick on.

Eminem To Preview "Berzerk" Video During College Football Game

George Zimmerman's Wife: He's Selfish and Thinks He's Invincible

(AllHipHop News) One of George Zimmerman’s closest supporters is doing more than simply revoke her support. George Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie Zimmerman is filing from her husband claiming began making “reckless decisions” after his acquittal in the Trayvon Martin murder case.

In an interview with ABC News, Shellie says she began realizing she never really knew her husband, claiming he began feeling “invincible”:

I have a selfish husband. And I thinkr
George is all about George. I think I’m realizing that I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don’t think that I ever really knew him at all.

The distraught wife says the couple unsuccessfully attempted marriage counseling after George’s temper led to verbal abuse.

Shellie pled guilty to perjury under oath for lying during the Bond hearing in George Zimmerman’s case, informing the court that they had limited funds. Records later revealed George Zimmerman amassed thousands of dollars in donations at the time of the hearing that the married couple conspired together to disperse to multiple accounts.

George Zimmerman was not at the court when she was sentenced to a year’s probation and 100 hours of community service.

The married couple of 6 years separated on August 13th. Shellie informed ABC News that even when they were together it was in horror for the past 18 months:

We have pretty much lived like gypsies for the past year and a half. We’ve lived in a 20-foot trailer in the woods, scared every night that someone would go and find us and that it would be horrific.

Shellie, 26 currently has $12,729 to her name and has amassed a debt of $103,756, according to copy of her court filings which was posted online by ABC News.

She is asking for equitable distribution of the couple’s assets and debts.

(AllHipHopNews) An underground buzz has been brewing in the music industry for the past few weeks with the number one question being “What is The Academy?”

Don Cannon (VP A&R Def Jam Records) opened a private press conference by the trio, by explaining the meaning of the new institution. “The Academy is an institution that will provide the next generation of DJs with a roadmap on how to break new artists and manage the business side of the music industry,”

Don Cannon said. DJ Drama followed up with the trio’s mission and vision in creating The Academy. “Cannon, Sense and I thought this was a great time to start The Academy with the heights and success we have reached in our careers,” said DJ Drama. “We want to give back to the community and continue to make a huge impact on the culture of hip-hop and music.”

The 20 members of rated next DJs were personally handpicked by DJ Drama, Don Cannon and DJ Sense to join the prestigious new collective. And here they are:

Damn her. She didn’t discover twerking. She didn’t improve upon it. If anything, she simply made it worse. Now, every other day there is a fool trying to be the captain of Team Twerk and they YouTube their foibles to our delight (or dismay). What once was an underground stripper phenomena with talented ladies with able backsides has been hijacked by the “6 o’ clock” Crew. (An 85-er may not get that reference.) Anyway, here is a small compilation of twerking gone REALLY bad.

10) Most recently, this young lady had the unfortunate experience of catching fire while trying to twerk. It is the most recent example of an epic fail…and that was before she set herself ablaze.

9) The moment you look at this video, you know it will result in a fail. You don’t know exactly how, but at the end, you may wish a bit more pain was involved.

8) When you look at this one, you are likely to think that you’re about to see something that’s going to get the beak salivating. NOT. Its so fast…you’re going to back it up and watch again.

7) No. No. And NO. Being obese doesn’t give you free rein to climb a wall and twerk. Twerk a treadmill.

6) Now this one is just nasty. There is no reason for you to have STRAIGHT UP SH*T coming out of your butt as you try to twerk it out with friends. This girl is ruined. I feel sorry for her mother. (And for the record, they didn’t have to slap her. Damn.)

2 Chainz: Mannie Fresh Made Beat For My Album On iPad + Talks Legal Troubles and More (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) We live in a world where twerking can be in the dictionary, the best artist in the world thinks she’s a robot and production for major label rap albums can be done on an iPad. In a recent interview with Karen Civil, 2 Chainz reveals how his collaboration with Mannie Fresh (“Used 2”) sprouted from mutual respect and an electronic device a child can use.

He came to my spot in Atalanta for a couple of days and actually made the beat right in front of me on the iPad. Showed me how to maximize an iPad with some things I had never seen before so that whole experience was dope to me.

2 Chainz has recently had numerous legal troubles this summer including a robbery caught on a surveillance camera and recently cops alleging to have found drugs and guns on his tour bus in Oklahoma City. The Atlanta rapper admits that he feels he is under added surveillance since the release of his single “Fed’s Watching”:

After making “Feds Watching”I can definitely say I probably popped up on a few radars. But I move consciously anyways. Pre-“Feds Watching”. I had to change a few things due to some other unfortunate incidents but it was always to make my foundation stronger. I want to apologize to the fans and let them know I haven’t done anything wrong.

Drake Says He'll Never Make A "Straight Rap Album", Stars In FIFA '14 Commercial (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Drake promises nothing will be the same on September 24th but he does confess one thing will always be the same. In a recent interview with MTV, the Canadian-born MC vows that he will never make a strictly rap album ever.

Drake tells MTV that Nothing Was The Same will still have a melodic feel to certain songs and that is something his fans should expect from here on out:

I’m doing that on this album. This album is not some straight rap album, I’ll never do a straight rap album. That’s not how I came into this and that’s never what I’ll do. I make songs for the people.

Drake’s brand is expanding even further than Hip Hop as he was featured in the new commercial for EA Sports’ upcoming FIFA ’14.

LudaDay 2013 was a Blast!

The 8th Annual LudaDay Weekend hosted by Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, Ebony Son Management, DTP, and The Ludacris Foundation, once again, took over the city of Atlanta during Labor Day Day Weekend to benefit The Ludacris Foundation. On Thursday, August 29th, Ludacris partnered with the Real Change organization to surprise his alma mater, Banneker High School. A teacher was honored for her dedication to empowering the youth with a surprise visit to her classroom by Ludacris. Real Change orchestrated the event, and donated funds on behalf of The Ludacris Foundation to the teacher’s classroom for school supplies. The students were treated to a free Ludacris concert in their gymnasium. ION_6681 On Thursday evening, Ludacris, Ebony Son Management, and The Ludacris Foundation, hosted a private dinner to kick-off the weekend at Del Frisco’s Grille. Music mogul, art connoisseur, and philanthropist, Kasseem “Swizz Beats” Dean was honored for his contributions to the arts. An exclusive Hublot Oceanographic 4000 watch was also auctioned. Local philanthropists; Keshia Knight Pulliam, Charles McCree, Greg Street, and John Silvey, were also honored for their charitable contributions to the Atlanta community.

This year marks the first year of LudaDay Weekend being held on GSU’s campus. On Saturday, August 31st, Ludacris, local artists, and celebrities including; Terrence J, Tika Sumpter, Larenz Tate, LeToya Luckett, Tahiry, Sevyn Streeter, and more took over Georgia State University for a block party sponsored by Soul headphones, Vitamin Water, and Zaxby’s of Lower Roswell Road in Atlanta. Guests were treated to complimentary food, beverages, and live performances from rising local talent. IMG_2210 On Sunday, September 1st, The Ludacris Foundation’s Ms. Roberta Shields, Ludacris, and Eudoxiee hosted an intimate brunch with a select group of young women at the Intercontinental Hotel. The purpose of the brunch was to empower young women through mentorship. Influential women including; Keshia Knight Pulliam, Raven-Symone, LeToya Luckett, Tika Sumpter, Shanti Das, and Kendra G of the Ryan Cameron Morning Show on V-103 FM, to name a few, spoke candidly with the girls in attendance. The girls discussed their dreams, ambitions, and topics ranging from the recent Miley Cyrus controversy, Martin Luther King Jr.’s 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington,  and an array of current issues. The girls received gift bags with Motives for La La cosmetics and David Yurman perfume.
Lastly, The most anticipated event of LudaDay Weekend, the celebrity basketball game, sponsored by Soul headphones and Nuero Sonic, was held at Georgia State University’s Sports Arena on Sunday. This year, Team Luda vs. Team Usher played to a sold out crowd of thousands of students to benefit The Ludacris Foundation. Professional athletes, Shannon Brown, John Wall, Josh Powell, and Jarret Jack, played while James Harden assisted Ludacris with coaching his team. Celebrities including; Raven-Symone, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Teyana Taylor, Laura Govan, Tristan Wilds aka Mack Wilds, Big Tigger, and more played in and/or supported the basketball game. Students participated in Soul headphones and Microsoft halftime giveaways, all while helping to raise money for various charitable causes. LudaDay Weekend continues to expand and engage diverse audiences to bring more awareness to giving back to the youth in Atlanta through The Ludacris Foundation.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What Really Happened With Jay Z And Beyonce's Bodyguard

You know, I hate to say this, so God bless the dead. It was this man’s life’s work to protect other people from harm. This included the great Nelson Mandela, but also the likes of Jay Z, Rihanna, Beyonce, Gaga and more. But, the reports are not telling what’s really going on, according to sources I have. First of all, they are saying that the death of Norman Oosterbroek is absolutely suspicious and they don’t believe the accounts printed. Basically, the reports out there are saying that Oosterbroek lost it somehow and went around naked and fighting his neighbors in their mansion. In the midst of a fight, he was seen popping a pill…while naked. I’m not sure, but common sense strongly suggests that you aren’t thinking about pill popping while in a fight where you don’t even have clothing on. Maybe he was holding a special power pellet in his palm. Anyway, one source told me exclusively that “Norm was not a regular bodyguard. He was more like CIA.” This leads me to SPECULATE that there MAY be something else top level going on. I don’t know. Now, I will say that some folks have hit me with their Illuminati conspiracy theories. My direct sources aren’t saying anything like that, just keeping it real. Somebody else said he was the “Russell Simmons of Bodyguards.” He owned his own company and trained a lot of bodyguards like the dude Julian, who is Beyonce’s primary bodyguard.

Anyway, Jay and B were on vacation abroad when Norman was killed MONDAY. I was told that it was paramount that the death be kept “under wraps” for a number of reasons. One of those reasons was for the safety of the clients. “If the bodyguard is caught dead, it could be seen as a source of weakness [for Jay and Beyonce]. Its crazy how they kept it under wraps. The [handlers, reps and publicists] must have been working overtime and then fed the press a story.” The other was the weird nature of the death. Cops charge that Oosterbroek was so out of whack, that he had to be tazed into submission…and the result was death. Now, there is more to this, but I really cannot say, because its a bit slanderous, but it does deal with alleged drug use by Oosterbroek. But, lets just say that this man lived a very unique, demanding life and I expect that more will be leaking soon. I’ll let you know what I hear.

Jay Z Releases Magna Carta World Tour Dates

(AllHipHop News) Maybe great minds just do always think alike but an hour after Kanye releases his Yeezus tour dates, Jay releases the North American dates for his Magna Carta World Tour.

The tour only overlaps with Kanye’s Yeezus tour on November 30th when it begins at at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
