(AllHipHop News) An argument can be made that “’93 Till Infinity” is on the shortlist of greatest 90’s Hip Hop songs ever. It almost did not happen.
Souls of Mischief EXCLUSIVELY spoke to AllHipHop regarding the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album ’93 Till Infinity and the lead single’s producer A-Plus explains how the beat for their most renowned song was originally given to a member of another 90’s hip hop collective:
What happened was we used to go to the studio, we were making ’93 Till [Infinity the album], I was making beats in my spare time. I really didnt think nothing of it. I made it after one of those sessions when I got home. Before any of the fellas heard it Pep Love [of Hieroglyphics] heard it first and said ‘that’s dope, can I have it’? and I said ‘sure you can have it’. Then when we got to the studio and we were looking for beats and I was like ‘I made this beat that I gave to Pep’. They heard it and was like “dude, you cant be giving away beats while we working on the album.
Souls of Mischief recently performed at SOBs for a 20th anniversary concert celebration for ’93 Till Infinity. Check out their performance of their biggest hit ever, “93 Till Infinity”:
(AllHipHop News) Talib Kweli and singer IndiaArie are joining forces for a special event in Brooklyn called “The Truth Serum.”
The event, which takes place on August 29, also has 9th Wonder’s artist Rapsody along with Talib and India.Arie who will be playing in front of The Brooklyn Philharmonic.
Talib was particularly excited.
“I love India.Arie,” he told AllHipHop.com. “We’re born the exact same day. She’s the truth. Can’t wait to play with her at The Truth Serum show!!”
“The Truth Serum” is the brainchild of LegendFactory Founder/CEO Amanda McIntyre-Chavis and she further detailed how it will go down.
“The Truth Serum” celebrates artistic transparency and authenticity,” she explained. “Each artist featured is widely respected and known for diving deep into their souls to provide the total truth in their music, their art and their lives. The event theme is designed to engage the total fan experience, while also showcasing what’s new-and-next in entertainment.”
“The Truth Serum” will also feature up-and-comers Luke James and Esnavi, who have amassed fan bases as well.
“LegendFactory” was created as a platform to build experiences, whether that experience is helping artists perfect their craft so they can share it with their audience, or a brand getting more intimate with its consumer,” McIntyre-Chavis concluded.
“I knew she was gonna be smoking hot since she was 7.”
Man.
I’ll tell you. There’s always a lot of talk about Black people and their rachet mess. But this (and other situations) prove that everybody has some crap! This dude moved next door to his future wife and her then 7-year-old kid. The dude profiled her as a p### star at the age of 7. What sort of pervert does that. OH, and she was cool with it.
Where is the mother in all of this?
This is what happens when you don’t have a father and the step-father is a nut job. No pun intended.

(AllHipHop News) There is no earthly way you can do a 20th anniversary album of arguably the most influential Hip Hop group of all time and not have its most erratically intriguing member apart of it. According to Inspectah Deck, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard will be featured on the as-of-yet untitled 20th anniversary Wu Tang album.
Speaking with The Line of Best Fit, Deck says RZA’s vast library of unreleased and unheard vocals from ODB will ensure that Black Jesus will be on the upcoming album:
RZA has a bunch of Ol’ Dirty tracks and verses that for years nobody’s heard and, from my last conversation [with RZA], we’re supposed to have an Ol’ Dirty track on there. It may be by itself or we might join it on to another song. But Ol’ Dirty is going to be part of this album, that’s a fact.
ODB appeared on Wu Tang Clans last album, 8 Diagrams in 2007 as a bonus track.
The album is scheduled to be released in November and was originally titled A Better Tomorrow but Ghostface recently revealed that the title is still undecided during a recent interview at Bonaroo.
(AllHipHop News) In Hip Hop, Doggs have become Lions. Daddy’s have become Diddy’s. Even hyphens are not safe (right, Jay Z?). Brooklyn-bred gangsta rapper Uncle Murda is the latest in the name change family as he is now to be referred to as U.M.
In a video interview with Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg, the artist formerly known as Uncle Murda revealed that his old moniker was holding him back from booking certain shows and acquiring certain deals.
Check out the full interview below to hear him discuss the late Chris Lighty’s advice on the name change, how U.M. dealt with his old name and more below:
LOL!!! Kim Kardashian is hilarious! She sold the Star some straight BS! She sold them the story that alleges that she has lost 50 pounds since the birth of cute baby North. Here is the cover of the magazine

if you don’t believe me. Now, she says she lost 50 pounds in a month? That sh*t is impossible, even by celeb standards. She goes on and on about her calories and whatever – Trash Talk! No way!
A month ago, she looked like this:
