Not entirely sure what’s the relevance of John Legend’s h*e count but J. Cole’s new release, “N*ggas Know” is a bounce ripe with plush strings and vocal Cole’s highly anticipated sophomore album Born Sinner is set to drop in less than three weeks on June 18th.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Kanye Re-Recording His Whole Yeezus Album?
This can’t be life.
Word on the streets is that Kanye is actually making an attempt at re-recording Yeezus because of the lukewarm reception to the first songs? I’m not sure. I have not really heard those songs. As far as I know they aren’t on iTunes and have not been sent around. But, I think the second rumor is more feasible. And, that rumor says that Yeezy is adding some additional songs that are more commercially viable. Everything can’t be dark and gloomy songs about slaves and black skinheads. Insiders say that Kanye isn’t scared or anything. He’s just doing what he does to create the best product possible.
Rumor has it, Ye will be having a huge birthday celebration as this album comes out right after his 36th birthday on June 8.

Public Enemy Documentary “Rebel Without A Pause” To Premiere On Centric
(AllHipHop News) The iconic Hip-Hop group Public Enemy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, and the native New Yorkers celebrated the accomplishment by headlining a star-studded concert. Luckily for fans the event was captured on tape.
Rebels Without A Pause-The Induction Celebration of Public Enemy Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame commerates P.E. becoming only third rap act to be enshrined in the prestigious music hall that also houses legendary performers like Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Run-DMC, James Brown, Ray Charles, and Marvin Gaye.
The film was directed by Jason Bergh who also produced the Wu-Tang: Revealed documentary in 2007. Rebels Without Pause was tapped at the West Hollywood House of Blues a few days before the Rock Hall induction ceremony and features appearances by Doug E. Fresh, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Kool Moe Dee, Dee Barnes, Eddie Murphy, Russell Simmons, and others.
Rebels Without A Pause: The Induction Celebration of Public Enemy Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame will air on Centric June 1st at 10 PM/9 central.

Wiz Khalifa Partners With Flat Fitty For New Luxury Headwear Line
(AllHipHop News) Style conscious emcee Wiz Khalifa is adding another item to his fashion business portfolio. The ONIFC rapper is teaming up with Flat Fitty Luxury Headwear to develop seasonal custom caps.
“Wiz’s desire to position his line with the most esteemed retailers is aligned with our brand’s mission statement of ‘Just Better.’ Wiz is one of the most business-minded young tastemakers out there, and Flat Fitty is truly excited about this partnership,” said Flat Fitty CEO Christian “Tian” Waters in a statement.
Flat Fitty was founded over eight years ago and has since become known for its high quality products. Every Flat Fatty cap is hand-sewn and contains 3D embroidery. The company’s previous celebrity partnerships include DJ Whoo Kid, Pro Skateboarder Manny Santiago, and America’s Best Dance Crew winners Jabbawockeez.
Their new alliance with Wiz will be a cross promotional relationship as the Taylor Gang leader prepares to release his third album later this year on Atlantic Records/Warner Music Group.
“When we first met the Flat Fitty team, we knew their vision and creativity was a match for Wiz Khalifa,” said Sara Nemerov, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Products and Global Brand Licensing at Warner Music Group. “Wiz has a trend-setting style which is a natural fit with Flat Fitty. Flat Fitty is becoming a new leader in the fashion headwear market and we are excited to partner with them.”
Wiz’s new Flat Fitty headwear line will be available later this year. A sneak peek will debut during MAGIC Market Week in Las Vegas in August.

Watch Footage Of Chief Keef Getting Chased/Arrested By Police
(AllHipHop News) Teenage rapper Chief Keef was arrested earlier this week in Northfield, Illinois for driving 110 mph in a 55 mph zone. So far the incident has only been reported in words, but now TMZ has published video of the the Chicago native getting chased down by police.
The 4-minute clip was recorded by the dashboard camera from the officer’s vehicle. It begins with Keef’s BMW flying past the parked police car and ends with him getting arrested.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Tim Dog Getting Hunted Down By Bounty Hunters!?
Ohhhhhh! Its about to get real if Tim Dog is above ground! We STILL don’t fully know if the Bronx rapper is actually dead or alive! Nobody has provided concrete evidence that the man is actually dead! Remember, there were reports that Tim Dog died from a diabetic seizure. But, his family – particularly his WIFE – has yet to come forward to answer allegations that Tim is alive…or in the afterlife. So, it continues.

50 Cent Has Regrets In Fat Joe Beef
(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent recently admitted that his feud with fellow New York giant Fat Joe carried on for too long.
The G-Unit General made the revelation to MTV on the red carpet at the screening of Will Smith’s new movie, “After Earth.”
“Fat Joe, that was interesting. The competitive nature of hip-hop forces us to compete. It was one of those things that it went on longer than it was supposed to with that one,” 50 told MTV.
Fat Joe and 50 Cent publicly ended their feud October of 2012 during the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Both men had close business and personal ties to deceased mogul Chris Lighty, who opposed the beef from the onset.
At the time, 50 tweeted: “BET awards were good last night. The tribute [to Chris Lighty] went good. It’s a must see. @50cent @fatjoe on the same stage. We made it happen.”

For years people have complained about how commercial rap is destroying Hip Hop. This Black Music Month (June) a new movement has decided to do something about it. The Hip Hop Liberation Army has declared war on commercial Hip Hop. The group says it is their mission to fulfill Bob Marley’s dream of emancipating the Black community from mental slavery, starting with Hip Hop. The HHLA argues that Black Hip Hop artists are being held in corporate controlled prisons and it is up to them to break them out. If Kanye West is right and rappers are the new slaves, they say that it is their mission to lead Chief Keef, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Niki Minaj away from the corporate plantation.
The group is currently organizing underground Hip Hop artists and Hip Hop fans to join the battle.
Floyd Mayweather Reveals His Next Opponent
(AllHipHop News) Floyd Mayweather Jr. has picked his next opponent and its none other than the steadily rising Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. The bout is set for Sept. 14 in Las Vegas.
Floyd, an undefeated fighter, made the announcement on Twitter yesterday, ending the speculation of who his next opponent would be.
The fight will be at the MGM Grand in Vegas.
Canelo, 22, is also undefeated in 42 fights. Mayweather has had 44 fights.
Some have charged that Floyd avoided Canelo to fight Robert Guerrero, who he easily bested earlier this month.
The fight with Canelo could yield a larger distinction for Mayweather, as its speculated that he’ll get upwards of $50 million for the fight. That would make it his highest pay day ever.
Canelo defeated Austin Trout on April 20 in a unanimous decision.

Jermaine Dupri Gets Sued By Big Bank For $1.9 Million
(AllHipHop News) Jermaine Dupri has been sued by SunTrust Bank to the tune of $1.9 million in an action that charges the music mogul defaulted on a loan.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Jermaine Dupri took out a $4.9 million loan in December 2010, but defaulted in May 2011. So So Def, Dupri’s company, was listed as the guarantor of the loan.
Dupri was given until November of 2012 to pay off the commercial loan but didn’t.
Currently, Dupri owes roughly $1.8 million in principal, $83,545 in interest, $10,083 in fees and $505 in interest as of May 21.
According to SunTrust, Dupri will not incur attorney fees if he pays the balance in full within 10 days.
In 2011, SunTrust also initiated foreclosure proceedings on Dupri’s mansion in Atlanta. but an auction was canceled.
Dupri has not commented on the matter.

Lil Scrappy is about to begin his court mandated 30 day rehab residence for marijuana addiction after violating his three year probation and failing to provide a urine sample. Before he left, the 29 year old rapper spoke with V103 Atlanta about his marijuana addiction, engagement to Love & Hip Hop costar Erica Dixon and gets a surprise prayer called in.

His recent legal troubles were not the only opposition Scrappy was facing entering this interview. His former fiance, Erica Dixon told Mouth To Ears about how she feels Scrappy’s proposal was not genuine.
“I definitely called off the engagement. Clearly Scrappy wasn’t ready. I feel like the whole proposal, at the end of the day, was to save his image. It was all about how he looked to the people.”
In the interview with V103 Atlanta, Scrappy adamantly denied that his proposal was for publicity and even questions Erica’s understanding of love.
Scrappy is due out of rehab at the end of June.
