Hip-Hop Rumors: Diss Or Punchline? Is Nicki Minaj Taking Shots At Pusha-T?

Fresh off of her impressive performance at the BET Awards, YMCMB’s first lady Nicki Minaj joins Rick Ross and Lil’ Wayne – and has jumped on the remix for Birdman’s single “Born Stunna”.

On the track, the barbie seems to be playing around with some wordplay and throwing a few shots at G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha-T, who recently had an issue with her boss, Lil’ Wayne.

On her verse Nicki spits, “It’s a chess game, but f*ck a push up.” Push up sure does sound like Pusha when you listen to the track. Take a listen below:

So what do you think? Nicki’s boo, Safaree jumped on twitter to dismiss the rumors that she is dissing Pusha-T and clarifying the lyrics. Check out what he said below:

“It’s a chess game but f*ck a push up”…..chess game/chest game.. Duhhh.. Metaphors ppl… Use ya f-cking brain…#born stunna b-tch.”

That’s pretty slick, Nicki, but I have to ask – is this a diss or a punchline? And does Nicki really want it with Pusha? I don’t think Pusha-T will hold any punches with Nicki if the two were to lyrically go at each other.

50 Cent Announces New Interscope Album For November; Reveals Tracklist For “5 (Murder By Numbers)”

(AllHipHop News) Despite having no promotion, singles, or videos for his new independent album, 5 (Murder By Numbers), 50 Cent still has plans to release his project later today as promised, according to the multi-platinum selling rapper, although that’s not all that he has on deck for 2012.

After months of public distaste for his label home of Interscope Records, 50 tweeted early this morning, “My official Interscope album is called STREET KING IMMORTAL due out in Nov.”

However, before Street King Immortal is released this fall, 50 will first provide fans with what he calls an “appetizer” in the form of 5 (Murder By Numbers).

50’s last major label album, Before I Self Destruct, was released in November 2009, and in the time since he has put out several mixtapes, including The Big 10 and the recently released The Lost Tape with DJ Drama.

A tracklist for 5 (Murder By Numbers) was revealed last night by 50 via Instagram and is included below:

  1. My Crown
  2. NY
  3. United Nations

  5. Roll the S###
  6. Leave the Lights On

Hip-Hop Rumors: Are Joe Budden And Tahiry Joining “Love & Hip Hop”?

While “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” has been pulling in huge ratings, thanks to Stevie J’s pimpish ways, the original “Love & Hip Hop” in NYC has been losing cast members daily. Jim Jones and his girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin have both called it quits for the greener pastures of their own show, and Fabolous’ girlfriend Emily B has also announced that she is leaving the show.

Well, now we hear that there may be two very interesting additions to the show that are sure to make for some explosive TV. Slaughterhouse rapper and loose cannon Joe Budden is rumored to be joining “Love & Hip Hop”, along with his ex-girlfriend, video model Tahiry.

Joe Budden also has a connection with cast member Somaya Reece, who was his rebound chick after he and Tahiry broke up. Tahiry and Somaya had an infamous Twitter battle exposing each other’s DMs, and basically fighting over Budden. Tahiry also used to date Fabolous back in the day, and there were rumors that she and 50 Cent were also a short-lived item, so this could get pretty interesting.

Are the possible additions of Budden and Tahiry enough to get you to tune in? Who would you like to see join the show this season?

EXCLUSIVE FLICKS: Behind-The-Scenes of Ludacris’ “Jingalin” Video

“Jingalin” is fast becoming the summer’s go-to record. Ludacris, who is known for his winning tracks, shot the video for the catchy and fun hit this past weekend. Even the rapper himself, who’s also known for stepping outside the box, is deeming this video his best work yet. The shoot took place in Atlanta and is sure to have you laughing and in amazement.

“I’ve shot some crazy videos in my day, but this by far may be the CRAZIEST!!! I wanted to bring back the essence of who Ludacris is. Just wait until you see it,” states the rapper.

Let’s face it – Ludacris has built a diverse career based off of hard work and dedication to his craft. What sets him apart from other successful artists could be his humility outside the booth or his keen business sense. Either way, he’s like King Midas when it comes to his musical and acting projects, so we can’t wait to hear what his new album, Ludaversal, brings to the table.

Below are some exclusive pictures from the “Jingalin” video that DTP shared only with AllHipHop.com! Check them out, along with the track below:

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Frank Ocean Come Out Of The Closet?

Odd Future affiliate Frank Ocean has made a huge splash with his mixtape, Nostalgia, Ultra, and has gained a huge set of followers in the process. The young R&B singer is currently promoting his debut LP, Channel Orange, in the UK and according to one of the reviews on the album via Max/BBC 1 Xtra‘s, Ocean uses the word ‘him’ instead of ‘her’ on several of his love songs. Check out part of the review below:

“Frank has also opened up about his sexuality on the album, we think it’s brave and admire him for being so honest and sharing such a personal aspect of his life through his music. On the songs ‘Bad Religion’ ‘Pink Matter and ‘Forrest Gump’ you can hear him sing about being in love and their are quite obvious words used like ‘him’ and not ‘her’.

So either Frank Ocean is gay or he’s bisexual – either way he makes it know that he’s romantically into men as well. Does it make a different if Frank Ocean likes men and not women? Would this stop you from buying or listening to his music? Channel Orange hits stores on July 17.

Daily Word: Be A Willing Learner!!

Happy Tuesday, my Studious Life Learners!

Welcome to a wonderful day and a wonderful opportunity to learn something new! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to life lessons! There are always lessons to be learned for those willing to learn them! Some people only look at life and its circumstances as good or bad, but sometimes we need to see them for what they are! Lessons!

The reason why most people don’t have what they want out of life is because they haven’t learned something that life is trying to teach! Life will put you through the same things over and over again until you take heed! Do not make the mistake of closing your mind as the student, because that is a role that will never escape you!

As Erykah Badu once said, “The man that knows something knows that he knows nothing at all.” Always be a willing learner and the answers to your every question will appear before your
eyes!
-Ash’Cash

“Responsibility for learning belongs to the student, regardless of age.” -Robert Martin

“Other people may be there to help us, teach us, guide us along our path, but the lesson to be learned is always ours.” -Unknown

“In every adversity there lies the seed of an equivalent advantage. In every defeat is a lesson showing you how to win the victory next time.” -Robert Collier

“When a man is pushed, tormented, defeated, he has a chance to learn something.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Experience is the best teacher, but the tuition is high.” -Norwegian Proverb

“The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson.” -Tom Bodett

“They can conquer who believe they can. He has not learned the first lesson in life who does not every day surmount a fear.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

“One way or another, life will teach you its lessons. When you’re a willing student, those lessons are pure gold.” -Ralph Marston

***BONUS***“A tough lesson in life that one has to learn is that not everybody wishes you well.” -Dan Rather
