Hip-Hop Rumors: Did French Montana "Get Initiated" Into The Illuminati?!

French Montana has been on a major come-up in the last year and has collaborated with the top echelon of Hip-Hop – including his label head Diddy, Rick Ross, Drake, and Lil’ Wayne. His rise to success has many people joking around about whether or not he joined the infamous “Illuminati.”

In a recent interview with Jenny Boom Boom, French decided to fan the flames on this rumor. Check out what he said below as well as the audio from the interview:

“If there was an Illuminati, I would have been joined it,” said French Montana. “I’m still waiting, come knock on my door.”

French Montana is one real dude! I like his style! So we all know French Montana was joking about being “initiated” into the Illuminati, but do you think there really is such a thing? And if so, would rappers even be considered as members?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did MGK Almost Get "Shelved" By Bad Boy For Being A "Wild Boy"?

Bad Boy’s resident “wild boy,” MGK, has recently confessed in an interview with HOT 97’s Peter Rosenberg that he was on the verge of getting dropped by Bad Boy Records AND his management, because of his “bad attitude.” Check out what he said below.

“I was going to get shelved by the label and my management was going to leave because I have the worst attitude in the world.”

The rapper also revealed that he has been on a “three week and four day [streak] of sobriety of anger” because of all of his recent trouble with losing his temper, and says that his team recently got him security, not to keep him safe, but to keep him from hurting other people. Sheesh!

MGK was in a sharing mood, because he also shared that he almost got kicked off of the Tech N9ne tour as well and has five lawsuits filed against him for fighting! Machine Gun Kelly was also recently banned from NYC’s Highline Ballroom for allegedly attacking a bouncer with a bottle back in January, or as he put it, “I’ve been wrongfully stereotyped because of a b####### story.”

Damn, dude, get your stuff together! Check out the full interview below. The “anger management” talk starts at the 12:07 mark:

Did he really say Motley Crew would be f*cking a girl in the lobby while she sniffed cocaine off his penis?! Wow, MGK is really a “wild boy!”

Hip-Hop Rumors: G-Dep Documentary Coming?

I don’t know how much this is going to be of interest to you peoples out there, but this is what I am hearing. I am hearing that there is a G-Dep documentary on the way and it will highlight the rapper’s career right up until it was derailed, by a stunning confession of murder. Well, he didn’t actually confess to murder, he confessed to a shooting. At any rate, it is my understanding that he was doing work in the studio and getting ready to come back out then he was taken on a new path. All of that recording and studio work was documented and the cats that did it are reportedly going to put it out as a documentary. I personally think they should hold off and expand that doc to include some goodies about where Dep is now behind those walls. That’s what I want to see, as well as the general public I assume.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Lil Wayne Ends Pusha T Beef

Lil Wayne did the right thing and ended his clashing of ways with Pusha T! I’m glad they ended that because Pusha was getting with him crazy. Anyway, its over and Lil Wayne confirmed what I already knew. Click here to read my piece, which is more on the Pusha T side of it. But, seriously, it was a mutual thing from what I heard. Weezy talked to The Associated Press on it.

AP: What’s next musically? And what happened in the beef between you and Pusha T?

Lil Wayne: I just finished recording my “I Am Not a Human Being II” album. And we’re starting to work on the Young Money album. … It really wasn’t no beef, you know. It was just me. I just reacted. Just a reaction, a simple reaction. I don’t apologize for it because I’m human. But it was just my human reaction. I don’t take it back. But there’s no beef. Beef is a whole different thing. … I’ll move on.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Lil' Wayne "Moving On" From His Beef With Pusha-T

Lil’ Wayne wants to make peace with Pusha T and “move on” from their back and forth lyrical battle. Check out what he told the AP below:

“I just finished recording my “I Am Not a Human Being II” album. … I’ll move on.”

Is Wayne backing down from Pusha-T because his sub-par diss, “Ghoulish,” was no match for Pusha’s clever word play in “Exodus 23:1”? What are your thoughts on Weezy ending his beef with Pusha-T?

VOTING IS THE NEW FLY…According To Coutureluv.com and The Simmons Sisters

Many big names in the urban entertainment arena have found it imperative to push voting initiatives among the young people and young adults – especially in this all-important election year.

Recently, coutureluv.com, a new online store, joined forces with Angela and Vanessa Simmons to get people geared up to vote! Couture Luv provided fashion filled goodie bags with reminders on the importance of people making their voices heard and felt. The event was held at Club 50 at Viceroy Miami – Brickell with about 100 attendees, including a vast variety of socialites.

The Simmons sister will continue their 50-city tour, and Couture Luv plans to do other events and initiatives to spread awareness, including a Fourth Of July sale with a portion of the proceeds going to the Obama campaign.

Coutureluv.com’s owner, Ashley Williams, shares her sentiments on the event and their efforts here, “I believe that voting is extremely important, and I am glad to have been a part of this event. It was a pleasure to partner along with two other influential women who share this common idea, such as the Simmons sisters. This was a great moment for me and my company.”

According to Pew Research For The People & The Press, in the last three general elections, 2004, 2006, and 2008, young people have given the Democratic Party a majority of their votes. This age group is also the most supportive in the polls and in the aftermath of elections.

Hopefully, in 2012 and beyond – with the help of celebs like the Simmons Sisters – young adults will use the power of their voices, one vote at a time.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Lil' Wayne Explains Why He Pulled YMCMB From Summer Jam

Lil’ Wayne has finally spoken out about pulling YMCMB and Nicki Minaj from HOT 97’s Summer Jam, and although Nicki Minaj made it seem like she had nothing to do with the decision, she actually called Wayne complaining about it. Check out what he told MTV News below.

“That’s a female; first and foremost Nicki Minaj is a female. I don’t know what anyone else believes, but I believe females deserve the ultimate respect at all times no matter, when or where or how,” the multiplatinum rapper said.

“I expect the red carpet, in her manner; the pink carpet should be laid out for her,” he said, explaining he wasn’t trying to extend a beef. “It’s just an executive move, no salt, no bad feelings, no hard feelings.

“As soon as she called me and told me she felt disrespected, I just declined everything. I pulled her from the show because . . . no person that works with me will be disrespected in my presence as long as I’m on this planet.”

You can also watch the interview by clicking here. Before Weezy spoke out, Nicki Minaj sure did make it look like it was all Wayne’s idea, and she was just riding with the boss. Hmm, it seems like she gave him no choice. What do you think?

Dawn Richard Shines (Sans Diddy-Dirty Money) in "Automatic"

Still on the rise in her independent movement, singer Dawn Richard has just released a video for her second single off Armor On today, “Automatic”.

Since her departure from Bad Boy Records and Diddy-Dirty Money, Richard has been touring across the country and enjoying the ride. In an interview earlier this month with AllHipHop.com, Richard shed light on the meaning behind the phrase “Armor On.”

“When I say Armor On, I’m speaking of the reason why I need to guard my heart in the first place. I always quote Daphne Guinness because she’s my all-time favorite,” Richard told AllHipHop.com.

“I went out to the world, and I realized it wasn’t friendly and we needed armor. And this is reality. We come into this world so naïve. I’m not telling people not to come into it. I’m choosing to tell people to armor up, suit up, and go out into this battle called life and conquer it. I think that’s me loving literature from the old days,” she added.

Check the video for “Automatic” below and be on the lookout for Dawn Richard’s Golden Hearts debut:
