(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross has revealed the artwork for his looming mix tape, The Black Bar Mitzvah, which is slated to drop on October 8th.
This latest effort is one of several projects that Rozay has dropped.
In 2012 alone, the Miami boss has released Rich Forever, the MMG compilation Self Made Vol. 2, and God Forgives, I Don’t.
(AllHipHop News) Taylor Gang Affiliate and Bay Area rapper Berner spoke to AllHipHop.com about his newest mixtape Urban Farmer thats currently available online.
While some fans are still getting to know who Berner is, Berner isn’t new to the genre.
The rapper has released as many as 10 independent solo projects over the course of his career, to a devoted fan base up and down the West Coast and across the Midwest and Southern states.
“The Bay has always been ground zero for swag and making it happen on the independent level, so working with Taylor Gang is big. I been doing this dog and I have like 10 albums out and my own label, so its just a good experience to switch over and still do my own thing,” Berner told AllHipHop.com. “I signed a four or five album deal with Wiz’s own label, and I think I’ll prob do another mixtape and then drop an album. It seems like everything is good, this is my first time that I ever dropped a mixtape, because I was about that bread trying to get that paper. I was comfortable selling 23,000 copies. I got my bread and I was cool. You have some mixtapes that shut down the internet so I didn’t know how it would do but we are at over 25,000 views in the first few days.”
When asked about how he came up with the medicinal marijuana friendly title for his mixtape, Berner simply said that he was inpired by a fan that showed him several pictures of his herbal grow set up.
“What made me think of it, is that everyone grows weed in the Bay Area. I was doing a show in the Modesto and this tatted up, street dude came up to me and he showed me all these pics on his phone of his grow set up. I was like, ‘Damn, this dude is growing tree too?’ Its nothing but urban farmers out here. Now you have everyone growing herb and before it was just old white dudes in the hills. I want to embrace that culture and let people know that its real, its a culture,” Berner explained.
Not only has Berner been known to be an outspoken supporter of medicinal marijuana use, but he also is no stranger to the strip clubs.
He combined the world’s in his “Stoner Girls Gone Wild,” video series, where Berner pushes internet censorship to the limits.
“Just type in ‘Berner,’ and ‘Stoner Girls Gone Wild,’ and you will know what we are about. You will be like, ‘What the f**k?’ I made a b***h hit the Trippy Stick with her p****y, and I made this other chick smoke it with her ass. The first one got a million views on the first day, the second one did several million the first day too,” Berner said.
“I be in the strip club. As soon as I get off the road today, I’m gonna change and I dont care if its 7:30, 8:30, 10:30 or 11:30, I be in the strip club, thats how we run,” he added.
As far as Berner’s music and his mixtape, he put together 21-tracks for his old and new fans that are just catching on, as he joins forces with Wiz’s Taylor Gang movement.
“Yea man its 21-tracks and we did it pretty quick. In like month we put it together, so I just knocked it out quick. All the features just happened real fast, the features on ‘Certified Freak’ and the Chris Brown track all happened quick,” Berner said.

Nicki Minaj is clearly “on one” today. First, the rapstress “po dat tea” on Mariah Carey via her Twitter account, claiming that Mariah is after a “pity party.
And now, we see that Nicki has flown off the handle again. This time her venom was spewed towards rapper, Da Brat.
Nicki spazzed on Da Brat because a blog falsely reported that Da Brat had tweeted something in defense of Mariah Carey. We all have heard about the strong friendship between Da Brat and Mariah Carey, so the tweet seemed plausible.
The fake tweet, allegedly from Da Brat, reads as follows:
“I ALREADY HAD TO BUST ONE B#### OVER THE HEAD WITH A BOTTLE, AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN. DON’T F@CK WITH MY PEOPLES CAUSE I WILL F@CK WITH U EVEN HARDER. IT’S NOT A GAME AND I’M NOT A JOKE. B!TCHES GOT IT TWISTED AND I’M A UNTWIST SOME SH!T”
Instead of finding out the real, Nicki Minaj immediately went in on Da Brat, subliminally tweeting the message below:
Wow, Nicki called her “sir!” Well, Ms. Minaj was left with some egg on her face when Da Brat tweeted that she never sent out that tweet, and said that she has nothing but respect for Nicki. Check out Da Brat’s tweet below:

(AllHipHop News) News broke last month of Max B’s appeal being revoked, and the Harlem rapper recently spoke out about his decision to continue fighting the ruling via a new trial and a “Pardon The Wave” petition.
Former Bad Boy rapper and prison inmate Shyne recently spoke with AllHipHop.com about his thoughts on the prison system, and how rappers Max B and No Limit’s C-Murder are facing long prison terms.
“I wouldn’t wish jail on my worse enemies. I support freedom for all Africans and Latin Americans in the multi-billion dollar prison industry – especially guys like Max B and C-Murder who [are] from where I’m from and were forced to live that life! Prayers and thoughts with the komrades!” offered Shyne.

I’m hearing that the producers like the attention and feel that it gets them a buzz that they want, especially with other shows like “The Voice” coming up. This way they get the drama, and we all know that equals rating. The only thing is, it seems like there is nothing fake or scripted about the drama. They are just letting it go.
Case in point, Nicki went OFF on Mariah and the assertion that she threatened to SHOOT the singer. Now, that’s just BS! Man, all the rappers Mariah has been around and she’s going to say that? The folks at Rhyme With Snitch posted the tweets where Nicki speaks rather boldly about her position.
And to think, just a couple years ago, these two did a wack record together.

Ladies love potential. Men are well aware of that. We understand that you want to be a part of something special and something you could be proud of. You want to be the strong woman behind (inspiration) your Knight in shining armor. Some women luck out in becoming a part of something special. Others find themselves with a man that won’t amount to much, and could secretly care less about it.
Those women complain loudly about their failure of a man; so full of potential he can’t fit in results. Which leads them into the “Ready-Made movement”. She wants a boss. He must fit her financial and superficial requirements to be in the running. She never ‘factors in’ the personality of a boss; his need for control, to do as he pleases because he knows it’s about the money and he doesn’t really care (yeah). His buries his secretary, regularly. And when you find out about it, he expects you to grin and bear it; the sex was business and so are you.
Let’s bring it back around to Tom Brady. Tom began his career as a 6th round draft pick. He was overlooked by every team, more than once. He believed in his abilities and never pounded his chest about it. Tom was the embodiment of potential. He was confident, not egotistical (boss). Once he received his chance to play, Tom never relinquished it. He wanted to be the best player in the NFL and became it. Because he was willing to be, listen up ladies, molded into that player. Tom Brady was a nerd. Tom Brady still is a nerd.
His path to sex symbol was eerily similar. His popularity on the field raised his visibility. It didn’t change his nerd. His 2 year relationship with Bridget Moynahan brought on a social transition from professional athlete to a lifestyle celebrity. Tom’s brand as sex symbol grew with each snap of the camera. But he was still plain old Tom. Anytime we saw him outside of Football, outside of his relationship, he didn’t look like an NFL MVP. He was a no rhythm, when will he stop dancing like that, nerd.
It was his Supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen that sealed the deal on Tom’s sex symbol status. She saw his potential and willingness to be molded. She took an NFL MVP and made him an all-world figure by association alone. From fashion to charisma, she reworked Tom’s “cover” while giving him the freedom to live out his natural demeanor. Tom Brady wears UGG’s of all things. Had to be Gisele’s doing. But in the end, he has his own signature Ugg boot out of it. Still a nerd, but Gisele’s nerd.
Ladies, that guy you see around town who shy up when you walk by, yes, the one that can’t talk in your presence but has his life in order… say hello to him. He might not say it back as quickly. Just give him the time to fight through his jitters. This is the guy who will put you on a pedestal. This is the guy who will allow you to mold him, to stand side by side with him. He was too shy to say hello. But if you give yourself to him, he won’t let you go. Find yourself a nerd. Find yourself a Tom Brady.

This whole Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey thing is turning into a circus! After the video of Nicki going off on Mariah Carey leaked via TMZ, Mariah has confided in legendary journalist Barbara Walters to tell her side of the story. This morning on “The View”, Walters told her viewers that Mariah told her that Nicki Minaj threatened to shoot her! Mariah also allegedly said that she has had to hire extra security to protect her from Nicki!

(AllHipHop News) Houston, Texas rapper and original Screwed Up Click member Lil’ Keke spoke with AllHipHop.com on Wednesday (October 3) about his upcoming mixtape, Da Leak, and official album, Heart of Hustla. The Texas representer shared his thoughts on building his brand over 12 mixtapes and albums and embarking on his new label, 7Thirteen.
“This is my first free mixtape, man,” Lil Keke explained to AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview. “It’s not a horrible thing, but I’m not in a situation where I have to do mixtapes. First of all, my mixtapes are kind of different. Most of them they are like albums, they have original beats and some have mixtape beats, but the quality of it is something different because I treat the quality of mixtapes like it’s an album.
“I don’t just get on the song and be rappin, rappin, rappin ’bout the same thing. I make a song on each beat, no matter if it’s my beat or another person’s beat, I kinda make it into a whole song. Most of the time when people get a Keke mixtape, they think of it as a CD or an album, so I don’t have any reason to do it for free.”
Lil’ Keke told AllHipHop.com that Hip-Hop fans would be surprised to find that some parts of Texas have shows that bring out over 3,000 people regularly, as the Lone Star State boasts one of the largest Hip-Hop audiences in the United States with respect to purchasing albums.
Explained Lil’ Keke, “I do a lot of shows in Texas, real real big shows. You would be surprised at some of the places that you haven’t even been before with 3-4,000 people, or 4-5,00 people. Texas is big like that.
“My start into the game was pretty underground; it was straight underground and was during the DJ Screw era, and that was when he was becoming really popular in the ’96 or ’97 era. Around that time, we had an underground base of maybe 20-30,000 fans, true underground fans, and we were really doing those kind of numbers. And then my first CD, Don’t Mess with Texas, came out in 1997, and I did over 100,000 and started my independent career.”
Throughout his 10-year career, Lil’ Keke has signed three deals and worked with Jam Down independently, the mid-major Koch (now called E1 Music), and a major deal through Universal.
“Through three deals, I’ve sold over a million records independently. I started my own team called 7thirteen, a way to say my area code, 713, and I started it with a mixtape series. By the time I got to mixtape number five, I had sold or had 100,o00 downloaded. I turned it into a label and a movement, and 11 mixtapes later with number 12 – Heart of a Hustla – I’m dropping the first real album from my new label.”
Lil Keke’s Da Leak is currently available online, and his album Heart of a Hustla releases October 22.
There are few claims that artists make that actually hold weight in today’s musical climate. Most artists claim to be the best out, but don’t have the track record or the drive to back it, while others claim to spend normal allotments of show money on new drapes (no diss though; Jay-Z is actually about that life). Honestly speaking, there are several artists relevant right now because of their creative exaggerations… But DJ Drama is not one of them.
Being one of the few people who has figured out an efficient way to combine quantity and quality, Drama has been on a tear the last couple years especially, pumping out great mixtape after great mixtape. With the title of his project being Quality Street Music, on the surface it would be a big name to live up to; if you’re familiar with Drama; however, you’d know that all it would require is for him to continue doing what he’s been doing the last few years.
Choosing to speak through the music instead of atrocious ad-libs that grate on listeners nerves (no shots to any other DJ out right now), Drama at times puts together mixtures of artists that make sense, such as throwing Ludacris, T.I., Future, and Young Jeezy on one track to make it an Atlanta affair (“We In This B*tch“), remixing it and adding Drake (“We In This B*tch 1.5“), or making a Pop-like anthem and featuring Wiz Khalifa, Planet VI, and B.o.B. (“Pledge of Allegiance“), or even adding Cee-Lo to the mix with Jadakiss, Nipsey Hussle and Jeezy for “Never Die.” It stays away from the formulaic label while still remaining logical.
At the same time, Drama also experiments with unorthodox combinations and pulls them off with the same amount of skill. The surprise of this group of songs is easily “I’ma Hater“, the Waka Flocka and Tyler, The Creator collaboration that just reeks of pleasant ratchetness that makes you wonder why the hadn’t linked up before. Taking another chance, “Same Ol’ Story” features an unlikely assembly: Kid Ink, ScHoolboy Q, Cory Gunz, and Childish Gambino, but – like the other songs – it just works somehow.
Even though there are more highlights than not, the album still has a couple songs that seem more like filler than anything. “So Many Girls” flips a familiar sample, but Roscoe Dash, Wale, and Tyga fail to add something special to the track (coincidentally, Wale has rapped on this sample before on “Mama Told Me”, the second track from his debut LP, Attention Deficit). In addition, “Real N*ggas In The Building” has an old-school Southern bounce to it, but Travis Porter and Kirko Bangz sound uninspired as they tackle the song. And “My Audemars” is just not that great of a song to begin with. Thankfully, there’s a Kevin Hart Chocolate Droppa skit in the midst of it all that’s sure to entertain even the most stoic listener.
It’s refreshing to see that DJ Drama doesn’t take the braggadocious route for this LP and lets the music speak for itself. Although it may not be the “best” compilation album to drop this year, it is indeed the most well-rounded, as Drama refuses to make the same song twice (with the exception of “My Audemars”). It’s an album that isn’t formulaic as others, while including some great musical highlights that’s sure to garner replays, either now or down the road. Even with the few misfires present on the tracklisting, it’s still Quality Street Music, and that’s undeniable.

West Coast rap messiah, Kendrick Lamar, has let it be known that he is more than a little annoyed about the fight that broke out backstage at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. The rapper had just finished accepting his award for “Lyricist Of The Year” when he went backstage and heard about the fight. Check out what he told the Power 105.1 Breakfast Club this morning:
“It ruined my whole moment. Nobody wanted to talk about that Lyricist of the Year award. I went backstage and I’m hearing all type of rumbling and stuff and I’m like, ‘What’s happening?’”
“Next thing you know I found out it’s a scuffle or what not.”
I guess Kendrick won’t be working with Rick Ross or Jeezy anytime soon.

Well, that was quick! It looks as if Rihanna has gotten her way and has snatched Chris Brown out of the clutches of his longtime girlfriend, Karreuche Tran.
Just a few moments ago, Chris Brown released a statement saying that he is currently single and has broken up with his girlfriend to spare her from any hurt feelings related to his “friendship”…with benefits with Rihanna. Check out his statement below as reported by the NY Post:
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
I have to give props to Chris Brown for doing the mature thing and ending his relationship, versus continuing to cheat on her in public. Get ready for Rihanna and Chris Brown Part II!!!!
