As if Kanye West and Kim Kardashian don’t get enough attention just being themselves, Kanye accidentally tweeted a naked photo of Kim Kardashian yesterday. The tweet was deleted almost immediately, but not before hundred of people re-tweeted the image and “Kim Kardashian” became a trending topic on Twitter. Check out the photo below:
The thing is, the photo Kanye tweeted was not of Kim Kardashian, but of a look-alike p### star named Amia Miley. Miley tweeted the photo out in March of 2011 along with the caption, ‘Eat Food’. Canibus has issued an apology for his major choke during the Pay-Per-View event – Vendetta: Battle Royale over the weekend that had rap battle fans everywhere, including rapper Talib Kweli and producer Alchemist shaking their heads in disgust, when Canibus did the ultimate rap battle no-no and pulled out a notepad. Check out Canibus apology below swiped from his tumblr page. Cue the Twilight Zone music…now:
“The day of the battle my memory and mental state wasn’t 100% due to these circumstances. I knew this so I brought my copybook to practice the 30 plus pages of infinite rhymes that I had structured for Dizaster. The stitches in the back of my head were hurting me and my shoulder was killing me but The Ripper doesn’t need medication, he controls pain with his mind. At the event I was very confident with the likes of Supernatural behind me and the guy who’s strong stomach was showing- But to protect him from any abduction I won’t reveal his name- Lets just call him Subject 10. The crowd showed me energy as well and as I delivered my first round I could see in Dizaster’s eyes he was intimidated by the mind with the infinite rhyme. Eventually the traumatic effect I suffered days before caught up to me and I could no longer be as sharp as I needed to be. The fans paid money, as did the KOTD staff, so even though there was nothing left in my mental tank, I reached for what is now the infamous notepad and decided to read my infinite rhymes. Needless to say, the results were underwhelming and it didn’t look right, but now, realizing the actions that preceded the event I’m sure you all understand.”

“Firstly, I want to apologize first to ‘Subject 10’ whose vehicle I abandoned when the agents were approaching me. Secondly, I’d like to apologize to Supernat because I made him come support me and stand behind me for that embarrassment. Thirdly, I’d like to apologize to all The Rippers in attendance who I let down. Finally, I’d like to apologize to Dizaster and the entire KOTD staff. I tried my best and stood there like the solider I am but there was nothing I can do. As I said in the event, I could only do what I can do. For everyone who seems to be making a mockery out of my just- Remember this; dinosaurs once ruled the planet, Rome was once a powerhouse, The Blazers drafted Greg Oden, and every dog has its day. Doubt me and you will be defeated.”
Do you feel sorry for Canibus? Do you believe his excuses or did he just bite off more than he could chew getting into the ring with Dizaster?
“What do you say; me, you, and your Chloe glasses/Go somewhere private where we can discuss fashion/Like, Prada blouse, Gucci bra?…” – Jay-Z, “Give It To Me”
What we see and hear enough of, we buy into – often. Fashion is a prime example. Marketing is centered about influence. Influencing people to spend their hard earned money on the hottest items, well what they’re told is hot. No one can be upset with the ploys to move people to carry a certain bag, rock an exclusive pair of heels, no matter how uncomfortable, or stand in line for hours to have the in sneakers, just for the moment. Sometimes a brand is big enough to draw the money in all on its own – that’s what building a brand is all about. Still, the fact remains that being lured into fashion’s top names doesn’t mean you’re stylish.

Take Michael Kors for instance, a well established and affluent line that you can now find every female, of any age and status, adorned in. Every woman includes high school age and the struggling college student, by the way. Nothing is wrong with Michael Kors, the brand. In fact, his bags, shoes, clothing, and jewelry are quite nice. But, it seems that what is talked about in songs most often impacts the urban world’s fashion sense. Lyrics speak, they increase sales too. Parents can be found rushing out to get their preteen with subpar grades $150 jeans. This isn’t a new trend, but possibly the continued cycle of seeking labels merely for validation.

The questions can even be posed, why not Jill Milan or a Bottega Venetag bag as the must haves? Why Gucci or Dior? Because they’re talked about more? Why does it even have to be high end, and in a lot of cases, a knockoff? Faking it to fit in seems to come in all sizes and styles. Many in the young and fly demographic are missing the concept that real style is authentic.
Yes, authentic, as in your own take on what a look should be about, down to the tag, or most times the lack of an expensive one.

(AllHipHop News) Cleveland, Ohio rapper Machine Gun Kelly is the subject of a lawsuit, over a brawl in St. Petersburg, Florida last January.
Machine Gun Kelly, born Richard Baker, was involved in an altercation at Bishop Tavern.
The lawsuit, filed by William E. Long, claims that Machine Gun Kelly used a broken bottle during the fight, which cut one of the fingers on Long’s right hand.
Things became complicated for Long, who required two surgeries, after the finger got infected.
After eight days in the hospital, Long was finally released.

Long is seeking damages.
